Nõberu of Sweden is a popular male grooming brand used in many of Stockholm and Copenhagen’s trendiest barber shops. The range includes products for hair care, skin care, shaving, and beard care. Everything is made in Sweden and packaged in recyclable materials. The products are available in masculine fragrances that combine pure perfume oils such as lime, orange, sandalwood, leather, and mint. Nõberu of Sweden was born out of a wish to create a comprehensive men’s brand that stands apart from the competition, offering products that have neither that ubiquitous pine scent nor scantily clad ladies in their adverts. They are dedicated to much more than just selling good products – they want to change the market and society’s perception of male grooming. The aim is to create a world in which men don’t need to be tough, hard, and macho if they don’t want to be.

A really good water-based pomade. Easy to use, easy to apply. Excellent scent profile! Beats most other pomades in terms of scent. The scent is basically a pretty mature boomer scent accord, but the vanilla note in the scent is cranked up nicely, making it a more genuine gourmand scent overall and generally a more modern and sweeter scent profile. The pomade actually has a matching perfume from Nõberu that you can buy here on LYKO. And the scent is really good, so feel free to match it with that. Otherwise, I can recommend, for example, Viktor & Rolf: Spicebomb Extreme (2015) as well. They pair well together! Final thoughts: affordable product, well-scented product, and it simply does the job with the hair. But for me personally, the amount of shine in the product is a bit on the low side. Low shine product, or even a matte finish in pomade terms. Nothing wrong with that, but at least I expect something different from a product that emphasizes shine in its name.
