🌸🫧 A body lotion that turns your shower into a little spa!
I have really fallen for Rituals The Ritual of Sakura Body Lotion Mousse! This is the kind of body care product that makes an ordinary shower suddenly feel a bit more luxurious. 🥹🤍 The first thing I love is the mousse itself. When I press it out, a light and airy foam comes out, and it’s actually much more fun to use than a regular body lotion. I massage it into my skin, and it’s so lovely to feel how the mousse almost melts away and transforms into a light oil. ✨ What I like most is how quickly it absorbs into the skin. I really hate when you moisturize after showering and then have to wait forever before you can get dressed. 😂 With this one, I feel the skin quickly becomes soft and silky without any unpleasant sticky residue. And the scent! 😭🌸 It’s really the Sakura series in a nutshell. I get a soft, floral, and slightly creamy feeling with cherry blossom and green notes. It feels feminine and fresh but at the same time warm and cozy. I almost think it works like a body lotion and perfume in one. I also like that the scent actually lingers on the skin for a while afterward. It makes the whole experience much more luxurious, and I almost don’t even need to use body mist afterward if I just want a subtle scent. 🤍 The skin also feels soft, moisturized, and a bit glowing afterward. It contains rice milk and cherry blossom and according to Lyko consists of 90% ingredients of natural origin. A small downside is that I think 150 ml could have been bigger. 😂 I use it quite often, and since the mousse is so lovely, it’s easy to take a little more than you actually need. And if you’re sensitive to stronger scents, it’s definitely worth trying first – the scent is quite noticeable. But for me, this is above all a cozy and luxurious body care product. A perfume and wellness product
Rituals Body Lotion Mousse is not a typical body lotion for dry skin. Like all Rituals products, this one is also heavily perfumed. It creates a foam instead of ordinary lotion. The foam turns into a light cream and is easy to spread. The foam melts easily into the skin and does not leave it sticky or greasy. The foam also provides some moisture and feels pleasant. This is a product for home spa and not an everyday product. It aligns with Rituals' philosophy – to brighten up a perhaps gray and boring everyday life with a feeling of luxury and wellness. The lotion can mainly be used as a perfume – most will experience the product this way. You don’t need to apply it to large parts of the body with such use. The lotion does very little for dry skin – and should not be used on sensitive skin, skin with eczema or rashes, due to the perfume. Then you need to look for other types of products.
