Am I dreaming? Don’t wake me up! 💖✨

As a #lykoinflutester, I received this LED/EMS mask from #silkn. Those of you who have been following me here on LYKO for a while know that I have issues with hypopigmentation (pigment-free acne scars) combined with melasma (brown/gray skin areas). It feels like I have tried every product that claims to help with pigmentation, but nothing has worked. The only thing I haven’t tried is light therapy. I have used this in combination with a tailored cream from Dermatica, antioxidants in the form of skinceuticals ce ferulic, and SPF50. I have used the mask every day for 6 weeks. A Gamechanger 🎯 This LED mask from Silkn also has built-in EMS that trains your facial muscles to counteract wrinkles and sagging. I have previously tried both Foreo UFO and Foreo bear, which have similar functions. Silkn’s mask is a gamechanger because it does the work for you, so you don’t have to use your hands. EMS ⚡️ The EMS function has 10 different levels, there is plenty of room to work my way up. I use EMS 3 times a week so that the muscles have enough time to recover. The only thing that has been uncomfortable is when you feel the current going through your teeth. Material and function 😍 The Silkn mask is made of soft silicone and is secured with Velcro around the head. It is clear that the mask primarily focuses on pigmentation as it has red/yellow and near-infrared light. I absolutely LOVE that Silkn, so we don’t miss out on the blue light, has built it into the little control box that comes with it. Perfect for spot treatment of acne. Different light types 🚦 * Red light (633nm) ❤️ – collagen stimulation and healing * Amber (605nm) 🧡 – soothes, evens skin tone, pigment focus * Near-infrared ❤️ (830nm/1072nm) – deeper healing, cell energy * Blue light (405nm) 🩵 – spot treatment for inflammation and acne, integrated into the box Pricing 💸💸💸 It’s an expensive mask I would never have invested in myself without knowing it works. In hindsight, I can only conclude that it is ridiculously worth the price compared to all the skincare and treatments I have spent money on to improve my pigmentation. 💫 Result: Melasma fades away I have used the mask in combination with a pigmentation cream and the antioxidant CE-ferulic. The results speak for themselves - absolutely insane! I started with noticeable melasma on my forehead and at the temples/under the eyebrows – and now those spots are practically gone. The largest spot next to my eye has completely disappeared. My entire forehead is noticeably lighter and more even in tone. Thank you so much for this assignment 🥰

Hello! Could you tell me if you used any other home devices while wearing the mask? Maybe electric currents like the Medicube?

I’m probably not the target group

I have to be honest and say that I was mega skeptical about this product. very expensive and promises a lot that I don’t think will be measurable on my skin. I don’t have fine lines and a relatively even skin with some blemishes here and there. I used program 2 & 3 which are supposed to help with a more even skin tone and less redness, as well as regulate oil production in the skin. Very strange and unfamiliar to wear at first and difficult to use with glasses, so it limits what you can do while using it🤓 On first use, the EMS mode was very scary, I felt it really tingling in my cheeks on the lowest setting, and my lips were vibrating uncontrollably. I also felt a slight tingling in some areas. It varies a lot from time to time how strongly I felt it, unsure of the cause. I really like that it automatically runs for 10 minutes so you don’t have to think about it. I have to be honest and say that I completely fell off with this, I am not the target group for this product and I noticed no difference after a few weeks of use and my motivation also slowly faded. So if you have young and relatively even skin, you might also be able to skip this product since it is also dyyyrt. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #SILKN

    EMS

Hi, I used this product for Christmas, but I'm experiencing that the top electrodes are not emitting any «current/vibrations». Is this normal or could it be a defect? The mask is on number 3

    Perioral Dermatitis

Hi! Is blue light therapy recommended for mild perioral dermatitis?

Hi Therese😊 Blue light therapy can help with inflammation and acne, but it is not recommended as a primary treatment for perioral dermatitis. Some with mild inflammation may notice improvement, but the effect is individual and the skin can become irritated. The manufacturer itself does not provide medical advice for skin conditions like perioral dermatitis, so if you have a specific inflammatory condition, it’s best to consult a dermatologist first. If you then want to try it, start cautiously with very short sessions, and feel free to combine it with gentle, doctor-controlled skincare. Hope the answer can be helpful and that you have a super nice day💫

    Eye Protection

Hi Is it safe to use this product without anything over the eyes that protects the eyes? And can you wear face cream?

Hey Siri 💖 You don’t need to cover your eyes unless you have very sensitive eyes💛 We recommend using the product on completely clean skin, so it’s best to avoid face cream underneath when using the mask. Have a lovely day ahead!

    Question about usage

Hi, I wonder how I should use level 4, blue light. Should I hold the light in the same spot for 10 minutes or move it within an area, like the cheek for 10 minutes? I also wonder if the mask helps with broken blood vessels in the face and which level you would recommend for this. /Karin

Hi Karin😊 The blue LED light on the mask is primarily for spot treatment, like a single pimple or an area with redness. You place the light on the area you want to treat for about 3 minutes per spot, instead of holding it on the entire cheek for 10 minutes. Blue LED is most effective against acne and redness, but unfortunately does not directly help with broken blood vessels. For that, more targeted treatments like laser or IPL are usually required. Hope the answer can be helpful and that you have a super nice day💫

    Feeling a bit cheated

I was torn between two different masks but chose this one because it had almost 2000kr off on Black Friday. Now that the sale is over, it turns out that it was more like 300kr off and the price shown was the recommended price, not the actual price that was listed. The other mask, however, was discounted as much as stated.

    EMS function

The EMS function on my mask works 90% better on the left side than on the right. I got the mask for Christmas and am otherwise very satisfied. But it shouldn't be like this, right?

Hi Marta😊 That should definitely not be the case. I would therefore ask you to make a complaint under my pages, order history, and order number so our complaints department can assist you further with this. Wishing you a lovely day💫

    So lovely

Really good and worth the price. I doubted before if it would really be worth the hype and the price, but this has made my everyday life easier. The feeling when you wear it is luxurious, and your skin becomes so nice afterwards. But it may take a few uses before you see a difference. But I would really recommend this product!…

    Warning

Hi. I have a question. I just bought this mask and used it once, but I see that it cannot be used by people with thyroid disease or taking Levaxin, thyroid medication. I have both Hypothyroidism (thyroid diagnosis) and take medication for this. It doesn't say why this is a warning, do you know?

Thyroid cells can be produced more with infrared light, but you use the mask on your face, not on your neck, I think. I will ask. Thanks anyway.

First experience, 1 week from start

(I will update the review in about 2 months, regarding actual results) (Update 1 is at the bottom) I have used Silkn's previous variant, LED 100. I used it on and off for over a year and saw good results on glow and acne and wound healing. Much nicer skin. Never had such glow before, barely knew what glow was before I started using the mask. Soooo, now I bought their new mask. I look forward to using NIR for a long period and seeing how it works. But initially, I can say: 💜Significantly better fit than the previous model, but still not 100% good fit. But almost. Big difference from the previous model, though. Completely different. 🩵The EMS is sooooo nice, I think, went to the highest level right away. I have no problems at all with discomfort or anything. A bit hard to get contact with the electrodes and the small muscles, takes a few tries before you succeed. (Still having trouble finding the right between the two electrodes and the muscles, so I actually emailed customer service and asked how I can rule out errors on the mask before I continue to test and test and overstimulate the muscles, because I want to get it right. 😅 but I will get back to that after a while, when the review is updated.) 💛Regarding the LED light itself, I see that the skin reacts to it. Despite being a regular user of their previous LED mask, NIR is new for my skin. So I don't use F1 every day, yet. The skin gets a little warm and rosy, and that is a sign that it IS something other than just red light, like the previous mask had. 🧡The difference is also that the blue light is now spot treatment, not the whole mask. And I think that is great. Super good for us who do not have acne over large parts of the face, as blue light can have the wrong effect when you actually do not have acne-causing bacteria in the skin but still use. 5 out of 5 so far because I KNOW that Silkn Led 100 works – and that this updated version has significantly better effects and properties on paper, cannot go wrong. I am really looking forward to this! Will check back in a couple of months! :) Update 1: The blue spot treatment? Wow. I have used the same technique with the Foreo Espada 2, which cost almost 2000 kr when I bought it, very disappointed with the result. But this one, from Silkn? Yaaaz. I sometimes have problems with extreme(!) breakouts, a few times a year. Had one the day before yesterday, nightmare, but used Silkn's blue light treatment twice and it disappeared. Disappeared!!! 😭😳 Praise the lord, just this is worth the price of the LED mask.

    Which is better

Hey! What is the difference between this and stylepros? It seems that stylepros is apparently more intense than the silk’n face mask 100, but which is better, this one or stylepros? 😊
