I think this is a love or a miss. For me, a miss. For starters, I have a hard time getting along with rubber brushes in general. And with this one, I find it hard to achieve nice lashes and layer them, it mostly ends up thick and with a weird silicone finish. But the really annoying part is that it is so incredibly hard to wash off, no matter what I do, nothing works. So no to this encapsulated formula. Also: has it magically done anything to my lashes as it promises regarding the serum? No - I've only had the patience to use it about 3-4 times. A tip for removing it could be to place pads with warm water against your eyes for a little while, and then I think it goes well to pull it away from the lashes ❤️ Hope you have another favorite mascara to fall back on ✨

I got this in Lyko Lovables and thought it would be interesting to try. The mascara has a light consistency, unlike any mascaras I've tried before. The brush is extremely soft and flexible, but still pokey if you get too close to the eye. Hard to apply. I have short, thin, and light eyelashes, so I don't expect miracles. However, I do expect a mascara to give a bit thicker and longer lashes, which most including this one promise. But it basically just gives a bit of color, not intense, but a bit dull black as well. When you first apply it, it looks okay, but when you're ready to go outside the door, the lashes have lost all volume. The worst part is that it's so hard to wash off! There are no “sausages” as promised, just oily flakes - that stick and get everywhere, including the face, hands, and in the sink. Plus, the product stays near the eye and doesn't come off no matter if I use face wash, micellar water, waterproof remover, or anything else. Not good to have to rub hard to get the product off. Also irritating and not good for sensitive eyes. As for whether it works as a serum, I don't have the patience to find out, not worth it. 👎1 likes1223 viewsLinn

I got to test this with the Lyko lovables box. The product holds well, doesn't smudge, doesn't stain, and doesn't flake off. And it really only comes off with 38°C water.. and you notice the sink is full of black mascara 'tubes' and the sink also needs to be cleaned. Even though it's waterproof, it still doesn't curl or hold the lashes curled as well as other waterproof ones I've used. It definitely adds length and keeps them well separated. I've been using it for a little over a week now, and I'm already starting to notice signs of drying out, even though I'm trying to minimize that with my own method for each mascara (no pumping, same swipe for both eyes, and closing as quickly as possible, etc.). Good that I got to test from the box so I don't waste on something so expensive because I can get the same result, if not better, with another mascara, although the serum here is probably what costs. #Lykoreview #lykolovables
