Incredibly good!
This is incredibly good, and I love how it feels on the skin! The serum feels light and lovely on the skin without getting too sticky. The thin consistency absorbs quickly and leaves no white residue. The skin feels hydrated all day, and it works perfectly under makeup. An easy and pleasant way to get reliable sun protection every day, but it also gives a really nice glow. Got this as a gift. What can I say? Finally, an SPF that melts in so nicely on the skin, without making me white in the face and feeling it. It also works incredibly well with makeup afterwards, something I find very hard to find otherwise. This has been a real game changer for me! The formula is light, absorbs quickly into the skin, and feels moisturizing without being sticky. It doesn't leave the skin white or shiny. SPF is super important for me and I've been looking for something that's easy to apply, doesn't get cakey with makeup, or feels sticky or dry on the skin. Better for dry skin, still offers great protection to all
I got to try this UV filter on vacation in 30°C heat — with pool time, beach days, and full sun exposure. It protected my skin really well. I loved the texture; it felt moisturizing but not as heavy as typical sunscreens. I didn’t get any sunburn, and it held up well in the water. I applied it twice a day. The only downside is that after 5–6 days of use, I started getting some whiteheads and breakouts on my combination-oily skin. So for me, it’s probably better suited for city use or cooler weather. Pleasant fragrance-free SPF45 serum
The Ordinary serum with UV filter and SPF is a pleasant serum with SPF45 that can be applied after moisturizer or day cream. It is liquid and easy to work with and blend in. It gives the face a glow and radiance, and you can apply makeup on it. A big plus is that the serum is fragrance-free, easy to work with, and neutral. I will buy it again. Not the best for oily skin!
As someone with oily skin, I had high hopes for The Ordinary UV Filters SPF 45 Serum, but it’s a bit of a mixed bag. The texture is lightweight and spreads easily, which I loved—but it leaves a noticeable shine and can feel greasy after a few hours. It didn’t break me out, which is a plus, but I definitely needed blotting throughout the day. Good product, minus for the smell
Good sunscreen! I am generally satisfied with the product but prefer things that have a scent. I find that they smell a bit bad/chemical when there is no added fragrance. I think it left a slightly too shiny finish on the skin. Otherwise, it worked fine for its purpose. Clean packaging that looks nice at home. A good primer option
I have tested this sunscreen now for a few weeks in different conditions (both for everyday use under makeup, but also for the beach), and it works very well. I can't claim that it's better than any other I've tested, but it's definitely not worse. The fact that it has a serum-like consistency is a plus for me, as it makes application easier and doesn't leave a thick white film like others can. This one is also very good under makeup, as it works as a good primer option and makes the makeup actually stay really well throughout the day. Use:
Shake well before use. Apply to the face liberally and evenly 15 minutes before UV exposure.
