What can be combined?
Hi! I have now purchased Mandelic Acid 10% + HA from The Ordinary. I also have a number of other serums and products: From Dermica I have: -Hyaluronic Acid 2% + Inositol 4% -Niacinamide 10% + PCA 4% -Retinoid 0.3% + Squalane 15% From COSRX I have: -Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence Otherwise, I use Calming Foam Cleanser from COSRX as a face wash and Oil Control day cream from Basiderm as a moisturizer. I’m now wondering what I should use when, what can be combined, in what order they should be used, which combinations I should avoid, and if anything is unnecessary?Translated from norwegian
56 views- Customer service at Lyko1 weekHi Bjørn, Here comes a suggestion: 🌞 Morning routine (every day) Cleanser: COSRX Calming Foam Cleanser Essence: COSRX Snail Mucin Serum: Dermica Niacinamide + PCA Moisturizer: Basiderm Oil Control Sunscreen: Mandatory (Retinoid and AHA make the skin sun-sensitive) 🌙 Evening routine Everyday without exfoliation or retinoid (e.g. 3 days a week) Cleanser: COSRX Calming Foam Cleanser Essence: COSRX Snail Mucin Serum: Dermica Hyaluronic Acid 2 % + Inositol 4 % Moisturizer: Basiderm Oil Control ⭐ Exfoliation nights (e.g. 2 nights a week): The Ordinary Mandelic Acid 10% ⭐ Retinoid nights (1-2 times a week): Dermica Retinoid 0.3 % + Squalane 15 % Wishing you a super day ahead💗🥰

Summer
Hi🌸 Is it true that this serum shouldn't be used in the summer, for fear of sun damage? Or is it fine as long as you use a high SPF?☀️Translated from norwegian

Good but allergen
This is probably really good for those who do NOT have birch pollen allergy like me, I am pretty sure I reacted to the almond in this due to cross-allergy with birch pollen, so think about that before you buy, because I didn't! Nothing terrible happened, but my pores got worse instead of better and I got red bumps and flushed cheeks.Translated from swedish

Question
Hi! Does this help to remove red spots after pimples?Translated from norwegian
755 views- Customer service at Lyko4 monthsHey there⭐ Basically, you can use this together with Epiduo, but with a different routine, Epiduo in the evening and mandelic acid in the morning. It is incredibly important to use sunscreen now, as your skin will become fragile and sensitive from using acids, especially now that UV rays are getting stronger and stronger. See how your skin tolerates the combination, even though it can generally be combined, it varies from person to person how the tolerance is. Experiment a bit, and since Epiduo is a medication you get from a doctor/dermatologist, it is recommended to consult with them about which products you should use together with Epiduo🌸 Contact me if you have more questions!

Totally addicted! I've been using this for several years. I can't live without it. It prevents pimples from growing and gets rid of my whiteheads😍Translated from norwegian

Combine with other products
Hi! According to Ordinary's guide, you can use this serum in the same routine as the niacinamide serum, but in what order should I use it? Right now, I'm doing cleansing, toner, niacinamide serum, and then moisturizer. Where does this serum fit in, and how much should I take at a time?Translated from swedish
1512 views- Customer service at Lyko10 monthsHello there! I would recommend using this serum first after the toner and then niacinamide, finish with the cream 💖 Take care

Very gentle but still works!
I use this mainly for ingrown hairs and discoloration. The product soothes irritation, does a great job at preventing ingrowns, and lightens hyperpigmentation gently. Definitely recommend as an alternative to harsher AHA's.73 viewsto leave a comment - 1 yearsRating: 3 out of 5verified customer
meh!
i incorporated this into my routine for a few months and felt it didn’t really make any difference. i’ve struggled with sebum in the pores on my nose and thought mandelic acid could maybe do the trick since i also have dry/sensitive skin but i found it didn’t really change anything at all. the product itself is nice and light, you can mix it into your moisturizer or apply directly on the skin. no noticeable scent, not too greasy.62 viewsto leave a comment
The OrdinaryDirect AcidsMandelic Acid 10% + HA 30 ml
With AHA and Hyaluronic Acid.
Mandelic Acid 10% + HA offers superficial dermal peeling that is gentler than other alpha hydroxy acids. The molecular weight of mandelic acid is 152.1 daltons which is larger than other alpha hydroxy acids (glycolic acid is 76.0 daltons, for example). This larger size allows mandelic acid to penetrate the skin more slowly which in turn makes it very gentle and suitable for all skin types including the most sensitive skin. You don't need a concentration of more than 10%, because then you would simply be achieving an indirect peeling strength that is more easily offered through lower percentages of glycolic acid.
Use:
Apply once per day, ideally in the PM. Can be diluted with other treatments to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician. Use only as directed. Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency or duration.
