I have become more and more aware of The Ordinary and their fantastic products at great prices. This serum is no exception. I am always looking for good antioxidant serums. One favorite is survival 0 from NIOD. Due to the price, I often look for something cheaper and I think I have found a favorite. This serum is a pretty light and runny serum that spreads easily over the skin. It absorbs quickly and leaves the skin with a glow and lightly hydrated. The scent is a typical vitamin C scent and affordable. The serum works great with the rest of my routine, and I haven't had any issues under makeup, which is recurring for the serums I have tested from TO. Very economical product. Four or five drops are enough for the face and neck. I've noticed that if you use too much, it foams a little. So use sparingly. I use it during the day, as I have a serum in the evening that shouldn't be used with vitamin C (for example, Barrier and Support serum from TO). Antioxidants in the morning, recovery in the evening tends to be a winning concept for me. I have sensitive skin and my skin has not reacted negatively. Copper Peptides
It says on TO's website that you should avoid this serum together with copper peptides, yes, but if you finally found a moisturizer that works wonders (Purito mighty bamboo panthenol cream) that has copper peptides as the last ingredient, shouldn't it be okay to use anyway? (Only together during the day). As far as I understand, the last ingredient usually doesn't "count" as much. Also, on other sites (googled for days hahah), it says that most of these ingredients can be combined really well. If you want to use both products, I would recommend applying the serum in the morning and the Purito Mighty Bamboo Panthenol Cream in the evening (or vice versa), where copper peptides can work without interference from other active ingredients that may reduce their effect and also minimize the risk of irritation. I completely understand your thinking, and it is true that the last ingredients in a product do not always have as much effect as the other ingredients, but copper peptides are quite powerful and can still have a noticeable effect if mixed with certain other active ingredients. If you still want to try using these together in the same routine, I recommend doing a patch test on a small area first to see how your skin reacts. Why not use it together with niacinamide and peptides?
Hello! I wonder why you shouldn't use this together with other products that contain niacinamide and/or peptides? Is it because the ingredients "cancel each other out", reducing each other's effectiveness? Or is it because they together can become too strong and cause a "reaction" in the skin?
