Our traditional handmade and natural shea butter is crafted from the nuts of wild shea trees (Vitellaria paradoxa) in Ghana, Africa, following age-old traditions. These trees thrive in specially certified organic areas like the Wechiau Community Hippo Sanctuary. The shea butter is produced in a socially responsible manner, providing a vital income for women in these often impoverished regions. The raw shea butter is refined, resulting in a white, odorless, and stable product. No chemicals are used in this process. Shea butter is packed with beneficial fatty acids, especially omega-9, along with vitamins A and E. This product is certified organic and of the absolute highest quality.

It works beautifully as a base for your own creams, like body butter, or as a hand cream directly on your cuticles or dry hands. Shea butter has a firm and crumbly texture at room temperature, with a melting point of 31 - 45 degrees, so just take a scoop and warm it up in your hands before use, and it transforms into a liquid butter that’s super easy to apply. It can be used all over the body and pairs perfectly with all the cold-pressed oils in our range. If you want a light scent in your shea butter, you can warm the jar in a water bath, drop in your favorite essential oil, and let it set again – now with your personal fragrance.
