Holy grail ✨💛✨
Finally, my absolute favorite serum was in stock again, so I thought it was time for a little review. This has really been a fantastic moisturizing serum for my skin, with glycerin and centella💧💧 I didn't realize how good it was until I was without it for a while. And we (me and my skin😅) have missed it! I noticed that my skin became more unbalanced in its absence - maybe it has been a bit soothing? It definitely provides good moisture, is fragrance-free, and my slightly acne-prone skin tolerates the ingredients well. This product feels very gentle and nice on the skin. It absorbs very quickly and makes the skin look "healthy". It also moisturizes the skin and works for sensitive skin! However, it has a very watery consistency, which makes application more difficult, hence 4 stars. Does this suit my skin?
I am 16 and want to reduce pores and redness/blemishes on my skin. I would say I have combination skin but lean more towards the oily side, especially on my nose/T-zone. It contains centella (cica) which can help with redness, irritation, and calming inflamed skin, which is great if you have sensitive or red skin. It’s also quite light in consistency, so it can suit combination/oily skin. But – to actually reduce visible pores and blemishes, this ampoule won’t be the strongest product on its own. It’s more soothing than pore-reducing. 👉 It can definitely be a good calming and supportive part of the routine, but if your goal is to reduce pores and blemishes, a product containing BHA (salicylic acid) will often be more effective. It goes deeper into the pores and helps to dissolve sebum and prevent new blemishes. Tips for what might work better for pores/blemishes: A BHA product (e.g. salicylic acid) – this is an exfoliating agent that can deeply cleanse the pores. A mild AHA/BHA peel (but be careful on sensitive skin). A gel-based moisturizer to avoid clogging/oil imbalance. 💡 If you want to use the centella ampoule: It’s nice as a calming moisture after active ingredients (like BHA), or when the skin is a bit red/irritated. Very good
I have combination and very sensitive skin, get some blemishes sometimes and easily get clogged pores. Menopause has affected my skin in several ways. I have become more sensitive and have had to change most of my skincare routine. I got advice from Linda, a skincare therapist here at Lyko, and she recommended this. This serum is thin like water and leaves no sticky feeling on the skin. It absorbs very quickly and feels very soothing. The serum took away my itchiness that I had on my forehead after just 1-2 uses. My skin has not reacted negatively at all to this serum. No itchiness, no pimples, and no clogged pores.
