I have a scalp that sometimes gets dry and flaky, especially when the weather changes. That's why I need something that provides moisture without making my hair greasy. This scalp serum from Grazette XL has actually surprised me – it really alleviates the dryness well and feels light in the hair. Easy to use and feels soothing The best part is that you just apply it directly to the scalp, either on damp or dry hair, and let it absorb – you don't need to rinse it out. A little about my hair👩🏾🦱 I have 3C curls, so my hair has a lot of volume and tangles easily. Additionally, I have a scalp that can get a bit dry and flaky sometimes, so I have to be careful about which products I use. But this conditioner actually works really well! I was surprised at how good the quality is, especially for the price. Large bottle – perfect for a lot of hair The bottle is large, which is perfect when you have a lot of curls and use a lot of product. The design is very simple, nothing exclusive or special, but it does the job, and that’s the most important thing. Hair is super easy to brush through! I let the conditioner sit for a couple of minutes before I brush through, and it’s a dream! The hair becomes so smooth and easy to work with, no tangles, and it feels soft without becoming heavy or greasy. The scalp also feels better It not only cares for the hair but also for the scalp. Ingredients like betaine, panthenol, and Rambuvital are said to provide a lot of moisture, and piroctone olamine helps keep the scalp balanced. A bit about my hair: Coarse hair strands, thick, long, slightly frizzy and naturally curly, untreated! Tangles easily. Sensitive scalp with small dry patches but no dandruff. The packaging is simple and sleek, the formula is easy to open with a snap and dispense, and it is somewhat thicker. I really like the scent, which is clean, fresh, and mild! I have used the product together with the others I am testing in the same brand. I use the conditioner after washing with shampoo from the same series 2 times a week. I apply it to damp hair, let it sit for a few minutes, and then rinse it out! Very pleasant feeling in the scalp afterwards, feels soothing, nourishing, and moisturizing for my sensitive scalp. My lengths become soft and the hair feels light, no tangles and minimized frizz! I am very satisfied with the product as my scalp feels more balanced and less itchy. And my lengths become so soft! I recently got to test the XL Scalp Serum for free as an influencer here on Lyko, and here are my thoughts on the product. This serum is easy to apply and has a pleasant, clean scent – like the other products in the line. Not really noticing any difference
A little about me: I have highlights, no particular scalp issues regarding sensitivity. This serum felt light and pleasant on the scalp, but I didn't really notice any effect. Totally fine, but huh?
A little about me: my hair needs a lot of moisture but I don't struggle with my scalp. This conditioner gave my ends a decent amount of moisture without weighing my hair down, which I appreciate. But I have to admit that I don't quite understand the point of a conditioner for sensitive scalps – I've always learned that conditioner should go on the lengths, not on the scalp. For me, it felt like a totally okay conditioner, but I think it would be better suited for someone who actually needs extra care for their scalp. It gives the hair a clean and fresh feeling without drying it out. A bit of what I think about the product. I think the bottles are very simple, nothing wow about the appearance. The smell was a bit special, I can't quite explain what it smells like because it's a mix between cleaning product and mint 🤔 It's not a bad smell but also not a good smell in my opinion. I think the price was very good for being a serum! Unfortunately, after trying it, I feel this serum hasn't done anything for me. The scalp is the same as always, and the hair felt really strange when I had this in and it dried. The hair became quite stiff and weird when it dried and got greasy quickly.. I got to test this conditioner from Grazette's #xlscalp series. (My #lykoinflutester reviews are just as honest as the reviews I write about products I've paid for.) This conditioner is said to promote an optimal scalp, which is a bit strange since conditioner isn't meant for the scalp. I do understand that a hair care series would look odd without a corresponding conditioner. Anyway.. This conditioner made my hair soft, but not at all in the same league as other, cheaper conditioners, and for some reason it has a slight cooling sensation (can't figure out which ingredient that would be due to). The scent of the conditioner is the same as the shampoo and scalp serum.. fresh, a bit grassy. The consistency is a bit on the thick side, but easy to work with. The bottle is quite easy to handle, not too hard. I found this conditioner to be quite underwhelming (if that's a word) and basic. Not bad, but not good either. I have tested this shampoo from Grazettes #xlscalp series. (My #lykoinflutester reviews are just as honest as the reviews I write about products I have paid for.) Color me unimpressed in a way, because here we have yet another sulfate-free shampoo.. I generally do not like sulfate-free shampoos as they very often provide a poorer cleaning than shampoos with sodium laureth sulfate (tired of the demonization of SLES), especially if you use conditioner products with silicones in them like I do. As an influtester, I do of course give things an honest chance! The shampoo smells quite okay.. pretty fresh, a bit grassy. Nothing that stands out from the crowd when it comes to these salon shampoos. The scent of this one is better than the scent of the previous XL series that I tested. The packaging is relatively easy to handle. The consistency of the shampoo is a bit on the thick side. I have tested this shampoo both alone and as a second shampoo in a "double cleanse", and I find that it did not live up to my expectations when I only used this shampoo. I had to shampoo three times for it to feel somewhat good. But when I use my Neutral shampoo first and then follow up with this one, it is completely okay. This probably has to do with the fact that I use hair products with silicones, so I have taken that into account when I gave my rating. I have tested this scalp serum from Grazette's #xlscalp series. (My #lykoinflutester reviews are just as honest as the reviews I write about products I have paid for.) This is a scalp serum that claims to help relieve irritation and moisturize, and it does moisturize quite well in my opinion. I had a small area above my forehead where the skin would flake every time I brushed, but it has calmed down now that I have used a small dab of this serum on the area after every shower. However, I believe that other serums would provide exactly the same effect. This serum does give a cooling sensation.. purely sensory, no other benefits other than it can feel quite nice when you're itchy. It is methylpropanediol that gives that feeling. The serum's consistency is just right. Not too runny, and not too thick. It absorbs relatively quickly. The applicator is easy to use. The price as it is now (149 kr) is not cheap but not too scandalous for the amount of product you get. This is my favorite product from this XL series. 🌱 My scalp can be sometimes itchy when my hair gets oily, but I don't have a sensitive or dry scalp, so I'm not sure if it made any difference. 🌱 One of the first things I noticed was how quickly it absorbs, so your hair doesn't feel heavy or greasy. 🌱 It has some interesting ingredients like betaine and manuka oil. 🌱 The applicator is also really practical and it's easy to spread the serum evenly on your scalp 🌱 It has a minty scent, which is not one of my favorite scents, but at least it's not too strong. 🌱 When you apply it, you feel a cooling sensation. Easy go detangle
Here is what I noticed after using #XLSCALP conditioner: 🌱 My hair feels really soft when I leave it on the ends for 1-2 minutes, and it's easy to detangle and brush it after. 🌱 The scent is okay, nothing special. It has a slight minty smell, but it’s very weak. Here comes my honest review of the scalp serum that belongs to the same product line as the shampoo and conditioner that I have already reviewed. The products are from the brand XL, and I haven't tested any products from the brand before. But as I wrote about both the shampoo and conditioner, it was not a success for me with these products. My scalp is dry, itchy, and sometimes flaky. So I usually need to use products targeted specifically for the scalp during the periods when my scalp needs a little extra care. This scalp serum is easy to apply with the dropper bottle and then massaged in. Unfortunately, the scent is not something I can stand, and I don't think this product does anything special for my scalp either🤷🏼♀️ My hair also gets dirty faster when I have used it, which is not so pleasant either. Here comes my separate review for XL scalp balm, as I also got to test the #lykoinflutester shampoo and a corresponding scalp serum in the same series. It's a lot of fun to try new products, and this time it was also a completely new brand for me. When I got the email that I would be testing these 3 products, I thought right away "Dojj, so fun, and that this will fit my scalp perfectly". I often have an itchy and flaky scalp, but with the right products, I can keep it under control. I've also noticed that it comes in periods and that it's affected by the climate🌨️ These products are tailored specifically for dry, itchy, and flaky scalps, but unfortunately, it wasn't quite the perfect match for my scalp. The balm is quite thick in consistency, and I like that. But even in this case, the scent overpowers a lot.
