Good but…
I appreciate that it’s a stick, so I don’t have to carry a perfume bottle in my bag that might break and leak. But I thought it would smell more like citrus… It was more vanilla than I expected/appreciated. The anger wrinkle. Or Elva, as I call it.
I inherited an Elva between my eyebrows. I've had it since I was a tween, but over the years (and increased frustration 😅) it has become more and more prominent, which combined with my “resting Polish face” makes me always look angry unless I actively raise my eyebrows a bit. Which in turn gives me more pronounced surprise wrinkles. I've heard of (and yes, tried..) bandage tape between the eyebrows to try to get rid of it, but it absolutely didn't work. So after using these for three nights, I got a bit of a shock. It actually works! 😳 I really didn't think so! Also, I don't get any pimples or rashes since the tape breathes and doesn't irritate my rosacea skin. Now I also use The Ordinary’s Argireline Solution 10% and Volufiline* 92% + Pal-Isoleucine 1% as well as Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, but that alone hasn't helped as much as this tape. Whether it's the combo or not, I can't swear, but the tape has at least helped me. The best money spent in a long time. I want to add that I'm 45 and have absolutely no problem looking my age. I just don't want to look angry when I'm not 😄. Otherwise, I think wrinkles show that you've lived and gotten older, which not everyone gets. I wonder… are there crushed olive pits in it? Won't the shower/bath drain get clogged then? Gentle on my rosacea skin
Love this! I have been using it for quite some time but waited to leave a review until the packaging was empty because my skin tends to trick me a bit, so things I initially think I can tolerate, I actually can’t after a while, and vice versa. You should leave the strip on with the flat side against the skin for 3-5 minutes (I do 5-8 minutes…) and after that, take the scaly part and massage over the nose (and/or forehead and chin). I also usually apply the serum on my neck and massage with my Silk’n Silicone Facial Cleansing Brush on the pulsating setting—talk about lymphatic massage! Absolutely wonderful combo, in my opinion! 🙌🏼 When the massage is done, I rinse everything off and use a bamboo pad to really get rid of everything (after all, it’s AHA acid) and hey presto! My skin becomes so smooth and gets an insane glow. And I’m not even exaggerating a bit! I should maybe add that I have rosacea and generally very sensitive skin. I do, however, pat in Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner quite quickly so the skin doesn’t have a chance to get dry 😉 Then I pat in Ole Henriksen’s Strength Trainer Peptide Boost Moisturizer. Besides visibly smaller pores, my redness decreases and calms down, which I didn’t expect when I tried it—acids, as I said. It gets massaged into the skin and left on, kind of like a day cream or light base. If you want, you can use it either alone for a natural result or under makeup. The instruction to rinse off actually refers to when you wash it off later, like in the evening when you cleanse your face. Then you can use lukewarm water, micellar water, or BARK DNA Cleansing Pads. Next Lovables?
I wonder when the next Lovables set will be released? I understand that it might not be possible to say exactly, but are we talking months, weeks? I found LYKO just a month ago and have already bought all that were available. Then I wonder when the advent calendars will start being sold? (Yes, I know it’s only the beginning of March, but they usually sell out quickly, and considering that people buy several and then sell them on like tradera etc. for much more, it would be nice to actually be able to buy one directly from YOU). Then maybe I’m curious since I’m turning a year older on Sunday (3/8) and would like to treat myself to something from you, and if it’s not a Lovables, maybe it will be something else). Do we as premium members get any “early warning” before these are for sale? Hickap gives me a hiccup at how good their products are! It’s long-lasting, and I really appreciate that it has a pump in combination with the tube as it makes it much easier to get the right amount out. Because you really don’t need much to cover the whole face. I also like that it gets just the right amount of sticky! The formula is easy to spread evenly over the face. The makeup really lasts all day. I’ve easily had the makeup on from 9-10 PM without it falling down three floors like it unfortunately does all too often otherwise. I use UV protection, hickap primer, the makeup, and finish with Hickaps setting spray. And I’ve only needed to dab a little powder on my nose and maybe a bit on my forehead, but not more than that. Sensitive skin but…
I have sensitive skin and rosacea but… The difference this has made on my blemishes on my chin is absolutely incredible!!! I can honestly say it has reduced by anywhere from 25-50%. I use it after cleansing and before olehenriksen purple peptide cream about every other night, so not morning and night as it says in the instructions. And it has worked wonders. I love it! Sometimes you have to be a little creative with the products you use when you have sensitive skin and not follow the instructions to the letter, because it can still work. But as I said: even though it worked for me, I have rosacea, so be careful and think before.
