The scent is aaaamazing!
So it was time again! With the lovely task of testing and writing a review as #lykoinflutester and this time with a fantastic hair mask from #amika. So there’s something about amika’s design on their products. It gives me real retro vibes and I love it! But now to the actual product. My hair is thick, dry, damaged, bleached. Washed once a week. Sensitive scalp. Naturally curly. I tested the product on dry hair. It said if I didn’t read wrong "take one pump" - really? Have you met my hair? No, one pump was hardly enough. 3-4 pumps it had to be for my thick mane. But sure, I was using it on dry and not wet hair. The scent is fantastic. I swished past my husband on the way out of the bathroom and heard that he thought the same. I was a bit skeptical before I went to bed and thought that now my hair would be smoother than the butter singer Iglesias tomorrow since my hair is usually skeptical of EVERYTHING! But when I woke up, the frizz had really settled nicely! Already before I even brushed my hair. The only negative is that it weighs down my curls a bit. But the hair became soft, smelled good, and looked fresh. I, you see a before and after picture. Maybe not so visible, but it made a difference. So this product actually gets full marks from me!1 product in post The scent is aaaamazing!104 views - The post was made 5 daysRating: 4 out of 5Verifierad testare
Dry shampoo that smells super good!
I had the honor again as #lykoinflutester to test this dry shampoo from #amika. Let's start with the good things. So, look at the bottle! How happy does it make you just to look at it!? One plus is that it smells really good. I get a bit of a flower power feeling from the whole thing 🌸 My hair is thick, dry where it is bleached, worn, relatively newly highlighted by a 76-year-old retiree (who never wants to stop being a hairdresser, and I don't have the heart to say no despite the current spots and misses 🥹) So hair products can be quite tricky when it comes to my hair. As a dry shampoo, it does the job. When I tested this product, I hadn't washed my hair in over a week, so it had started to get a bit greasy. I usually wash my hair once a week. The scent is fantastic. You get volume and a fluff. But yes, on my heavy, thick, unwashed hair, you have to take a little extra... and this is where unfortunately the negative comes in. Unfortunately, unfortunately, it shows quite well that I sprayed with dry shampoo. It leaves a bit of a grayish-ish film or whatever you want to call it on the hair. Especially the roots, which are darker. And I'm still not very dark at the roots, but more "hey I was blonde when I was little, but now it's my natural color".... and a bit gray-haired (thanks to my kids). But I'm not a person who usually uses dry shampoo. I sprayed from far away to avoid just this, but maybe I still did something wrong. But despite my ignorance, it gets 3 ⭐️ for the fluff, the scent, and the incredibly cute bottle 😍 or ok.. Let's give it a 4 ⭐️ then. The bottle and the scent convinced me.1 product in post Dry shampoo that smells super good!70 views - The post was made 3 monthsRating: 2 out of 5Verifierad testare
My sensitive skin unfortunately says no to this
I have tested this serum for the eyes and unfortunately I can't write much about the result except for what I will write below 😔 I read some comments before about this and saw that many experienced reactions and swollen eyes 😬 I myself have quite sensitive skin, so I decided to do a little test on another part of my face before I fully tested this product. It was lucky that I did that because I also had a reaction with redness and itching on the spot I tested. (Size like a five-cent coin on the lower part of my cheek near the jawline) Unfortunately, I didn't manage to take a picture of this as I quickly needed to put on makeup and get to work. That said, my skin is very sensitive in certain areas (I have typical rosacea), so in some way it doesn't do this serum justice to rate it completely because of how it reacted to me. Pro: It comes in a handy tube with a pump. Con: You have to be a little careful as it can come out a bit too much, and you also have to pump a few times before anything comes out. Pro 2: It is basically odorless, which is really great! And also the price! So for people who don't have sensitive skin, it is probably great!... but unfortunately not for my picky, sensitive skin. #lykoinflutester #beautyofjoseon1 product in post My sensitive skin unfortunately says no to this799 views - The post was made 3 monthsRating: 5 out of 5Verifierad testare
Hooray!
Finally! I got to try this super nice sunscreen and I am really not disappointed! With my problematic skin that is red as a tomato constantly (rosacea-ish), it is super important to have sun protection. Or yes, it is actually important even if you don’t have problem skin. If it weren’t annoying to have red, sensitive skin, it would also be oily, so makeup easily slides off or you look like you’ve dived into a butter package after a while. I have therefore had a really hard time finding sunscreen that doesn’t irritate, sits like a film, and makes my face even oilier. This product is light, absorbs quickly into the skin but without becoming a film over the face. It has no strong scent and seems to work well with my face without much fuss. The price is also very nice. If there’s something that feels a bit off, it’s that I thought the tube didn’t feel completely full like new. But other than that, a really good product! Thank you so much for letting me try this! I will definitely be purchasing it again in the summer when I’m out in the sun more 🌞 #LYKOINFLUTESTER #BeautyofJoseon1 product in post Hooray!205 views - The post was made 7 monthsRating: 4 out of 5Verifierad testare
Totally okay oil!
I got the nice task of testing fine products like #lykoinflutester and this time from #labruket. Among other things, this Body Oil. To be fair - Things that I’m not so jätteförtjust in. 1. Citrus scents 2. The feeling of being oily. .... and this is a body oil with lemongrass scent. But, I like the citrus scent of this series. It smells a lot but not so much that it stings the nostrils or makes you think of a broken toilet. It smells. Nice. Fresh. It’s a nice little pump bottle with just the right amount of oil. Ok, as I said, I don’t like the oily feeling, but my legs are dry deluxe since you have to constantly get rid of summer hair, so why not try? I applied it to my dry legs and after about 5-10 minutes, the worst oily feeling had subsided. My legs weren’t jättegreasy and didn’t smell like a toilet but fresh. We like that! So my legs and I thank you for this opportunity and now I will try to be a little more open and not terrified of oils 😅 Also, my super dry hands seem to like this!1 product in post Totally okay oil! - The post was made 7 monthsRating: 3 out of 5Verifierad testare
Fresh but too oily for me
I got the lovely task of testing fine products like #LYKOINFLUTESTER and this time from #LABRUKET. Since I’m a tired frog who never treats myself to a little spa luxury, I lack quite a bit of knowledge about scrubs in general. I don’t scrub at all. The experience I have from before, however, is that many leave a greasy film no matter how much you rinse off, which I personally struggle with. This one unfortunately does that too. The scent is fresh and I like it, even though citrus scents are usually not my thing. When you open the jar, you have to stir it a bit since the oil had separated a bit. The scrub itself is nice, but if you’re as picky as I am and don’t want to feel super oily, this one probably isn’t the one to go for. But I still think the packaging in this series is super cute and I like the style! 😍1 product in post Fresh but too oily for me - The post was made 7 monthsRating: 5 out of 5Verifierad testare
Awesome for the body!
I got the nice task of testing fine products like #lykoinflutester and this time from #labruket. I have a bit of trouble judging liquid soap since I use more bar soap. The reason for that is that I wash my hands (too) often and they dry out my hands enormously. Cracked and bloody even in winter. So it wouldn't be quite fair to judge this as hand soap... but, it does say body too! I was a little nervous that it would be like those hotel soaps that hang on the wall and say pretty much everything, hair/hand/Body. Those that pretend to feel like the body gets rough like sandpaper after a shower and the hair like steel wool. But nope! This soap is actually really pleasant on the body and the skin feels nice afterward. It smells a lot, but I myself, who am not a huge fan of citrus scent, still thought it smelled good. I tested 2 other products from this series and when I stepped out of the bathroom, I got a comment from that bearded thing I live with and have kids with that he really liked the scent a lot, so that was nice too 😄 So, for the body, this is totally okay! 👍1 product in post Awesome for the body! - The post was made 11 months
Strength of hydrogen peroxide?
Just used this bleach but I'm a bit unsure what the strength is on the so-called "Jojoba activator"? I get the feeling it's a 6% or 9%? It really doesn't say anywhere in the instructions or on the package. I don't have much to complain about, but I wish I knew the strength anyway to better "ventilate" the hair and the time.1 product in post Strength of hydrogen peroxide?1685 views- The user's roll: Hairdresser at Lyko. So split!
I've once again received the incredibly nice task of testing products like #LYKOINFLUTESTER and this time products from #BYLYKO I am so split about this cream. My hair is thick, frizzy, and naturally curly. My priority is (besides trying to have healthy hair) to get rid of frizz but also to enhance more of the curls. The product comes in a cute little pink tube and has a yes, creamy consistency. Okay scent. Not too loud. One moment I like this cream. The next moment I don't. It takes away some frizz. It doesn't completely kill my curls. But after a while, the curls have still given up quite a bit. Feels liiiite like it weighs them down too. But sometimes not too much. I'm going crazy. Now I'm going to cut off some of my hair this weekend, so if I'm lucky, maybe I'll have a different opinion after that. And then I'll come back. .... because right now I'm so split 😄1 product in post So split!479 views - The post was made 11 monthsRating: 3 out of 5Verifierad testare
Pretty okay.
I have once again received the incredibly nice task of testing products like #LYKOINFLUTESTER and this time products from #BYLYKO Here comes my review of Wave Crave Saltwater Spray. My hair is naturally curly, thick, frizzy. I prefer products that enhance the curls but don’t weigh them down. This spray comes in a nice little bottle with a pump. The pump sprays just the right amount of product. Smells mild and quite okay. Creates pretty okay curls, like you’ve just been hanging at the beach. But it also feels exactly like that, like you’ve just been hanging at the beach. The hair feels rough and unwashed from this spray. Okay, it is a saltwater spray, so maybe that’s not so strange. But unfortunately, that feeling isn’t my thing, which brings it down a bit unfortunately. And this feels a little more.... sticky?1 product in post Pretty okay.927 views
