    Can I give 10 stars?

This is the best product I have ever tried! I used Vitamin C and Retinoid until menopause and was happy with it. Until my skin changed overnight. It became incredibly dry, I who have always had oily skin, it became red and it burned. Absolutely terrible! I don’t know why I decided to try this, but I’m glad I did. It soothes, moisturizes, and reduces skin irritation 100%. But I MUST use it morning and night. Vitamin C and Retinoid/Retinol are being put on the shelf - my skin no longer accepts it. The Ordinary's barrier serum, Embryolisse's moisturizer for sensitive skin, and SPF 50 (from a brand LYKO doesn’t carry) are now the perfect combination for me. I cannot recommend this serum enough. It is absolutely magical. #lykoreview

    Scrub is not for me

I have way too sensitive skin to use scrub, of any kind. And that goes for Estelle&Thild's as well. Both my husband and I tested it and had a somewhat similar experience. He struggles with keratosis pilaris with some itching and irritation. The scrub made it worse and was not for him. But he liked the scent a lot. I tried a tiny amount, but it was not pleasant. It literally burns and itches a lot. But that's how it is. It's not Estelle&Thild - it's me. I thought the scent was okay. The scrub does not ruin the impression I have of Estelle&thild, which has become one of my favorite brands. Their products are vegan and cruelty-free. For those who like and can tolerate scrubs, I absolutely recommend trying the product. #lykoinflutester #estellethild

    So beautiful!

Estelle&thild is a brand I have tested several different products from, and I really like it. I love brands that stand for something and that are developed with the thought that they should not be harmful to people, animals, and the planet. Estelle&thild is such a brand. Estelle&thild's products are vegan and cruelty free. This time I got to test the products together with my husband. First, his experience: My husband has keratosis pilaris on his upper arms and is somewhat troubled by itching and skin irritation. He really liked this body lotion. He thought it soothed the itching and it wasn't sticky either. The effect lasted overnight and the skin still felt soft for him. He thought the scent reminded him of his grandmother, it brought back good memories, and he compared the scent to Nivea Cream. She used it, as many ladies did in the 80s. I have sensitive skin and am somewhat dry. So the body lotion worked well for me too. I had no reactions and tolerated it well. The skin became soft and not sticky. The lotion is very economical. A very small amount is enough. And it is the oil that makes it so effective. So a thin layer is more than enough to make the skin soft. I am a bit ambivalent about the scent - it was a bit too much citrus for me. But many think it gives a fresh scent. Both my husband and I liked this product very much, and he has asked me to buy one for him. #lykoinflutester #estellethild

    Totally okay

I tested this hair mask 2 times a week, for 3 weeks. So feel free to read my reviews of the shampoo, conditioner, and hair oil in the same series. This hair mask was totally okay for my hair - it didn't do much either way. Mostly not, I think. I am 48 years old now, and my hair requires a completely different type of products than before. But the mask felt really nice on, it was easy to distribute and simple to rinse out. And it smells heavenly. In the pictures I have attached, I think my hair looks like a crow's nest. Heavy on top, and dry ends that stick out in all directions. And my hair is freshly cut. I think this series of products is probably suitable for women who still produce plenty of estrogen. My hair definitely protested wildly. #lykoinflutester #WellaProffesionals

It doesn't matter. I really enjoy testing, learning about the different products, and writing about them. I've tested a lot of products that fit me very well, and I've thus found new favorites.

    Doesn't suit my hair

I have tested the Wella Professionals Ultimate Smooth series for a few weeks now, as a #lykoinflutester - products that unfortunately do not suit my hair. I have typical Nordic hair, but I have entered menopause, so my hair has become drier and more porous. It was mainly the shampoo that didn't work for me. My hair became heavy on top and the ends dry (I have freshly cut ends). The conditioner couldn't fix it. The picture I attached clearly shows that my hair didn't become very smooth. Still, the conditioner has its good sides. It was easy to distribute and had a nice consistency. It also smells really good. I am an aunt to a teenage girl. She was overjoyed when she received the series from me when I was done testing. For her, these are spot on. She has thick curly hair. #WellaProfessionals

The hunt for hair oil continues

After my go-to hair oil for over 15 years has become part of the products I have chosen to boycott due to origin and production country - even though it smells so good - I have been on the lookout for a new one. And it’s not easy with my hair type. I have the typical Norwegian fine hair strands, of which I have a terrible lot. Hair oil tends to clump a bunch of hair together and is impossible to distribute. Few oils have a light enough consistency to work as they should for me. This oil is too heavy for me. Even though I use just a small pea-sized amount of product, it distributes well in my hands, and I stroke it as gently as I can over my hair, so yes, it clumps the hair strands together. The pictures I took are from about 3 minutes after I applied the oil. I don’t know if it shows well in the picture, but at the front in the bangs, you might see how it clumps. But it smells fantastic and the pump bottle is very good. #lykoinflutester #WellaProfessionals

Jill: that was a good tip! I actually think that could work for me. Cathrine: that's the one I don't use anymore. Jenny: thanks, I hadn't thought of that.

    Doesn't work for me

Wella Professionals is an originally German brand, but is now mainly owned by an American investment company and a larger American beauty company. Wella Professionals has a long tradition and has existed as a brand for 140 years. As a #lykoinflutester, I have tested quite a few hair products over the years and know well what I like and don't like. But since then, I have reached menopause and my hair has changed. My fine Nordic hair has become drier and doesn't need to be washed as often anymore. So this shampoo doesn't work at all. I struggled a lot to distribute it and had to use more shampoo than I usually do. It didn't lather up, and I probably didn't rinse it out completely either. It felt that way at least. As you can see from the pictures, the hair was weighed down on the top of the head and became quite sticky throughout the day. The ends became dry, even though they are freshly cut, and I experienced tangles for the first time in my life. I think it smells good, and the design is pretty. I don't think the high price can be justified. I might be a bit strict now, but those who have read my previous reviews know that I prefer the local brands from the Nordics and the Baltics. But also that I WANT something, whether it's donations to vulnerable groups or mainly hiring women. This will just be another shampoo. But on the Wella Professionals website, I can read that they have a focus on climate and environment. As it should be. What I have left of the shampoo, I want to give to a teenage girl in my family with thick curly hair. It will probably suit her hair much better. #WellaProfessionals

    Doesn't work for heavy eyelids

Makeup Store's curl mascara has an unusually good brush for me. It's easy to handle and I can get everywhere. The formula is also somewhat serum-like so the application doesn't create so many clumps and the lashes don't stick together as much. But that's where it stops for me. Since I have heavy eyelids, I have to be picky with my mascara as I quickly get transfer on my upper and lower lids. This mascara transferred a lot, and that was after just a couple of hours. Since the mascara isn't "universal", the price can't be justified. #lykoinflutester #makeupstore

    Doesn't work for heavy eyelids

Makeup Store's volume mascara unfortunately doesn't work for me. I naturally have heavy eyelids, and with age, they have laid over my lashes. I need a mascara that smudges minimally, and I also have to apply some powder on and under the eyelid to avoid my somewhat oily skin contributing to smudging as well. I have found such a mascara. And it is not this one. I tried it with and without powder, set the clock for 2 hours to check the result. But the mascara smudged unusually much. But it is easy to apply, the lashes become fuller and longer, and it clumps little. It doesn't flake at all. The mascara is easy to remove. Considering that it doesn't work for us with heavy eyelids, I think the price is too high. #lykoinflutester #makeupstore

I have a review of my go-to mascara here - Lancôme Lash Idole Mascara. (01 Glossy Black). It smudges minimally, if at all. Have you tried it?

    New favorite

Madaras retinol serum ticks all the boxes for me, for a perfect retinol serum. Madara is a Latvian brand and I have a preference for the locally sourced, the Nordic, and the smaller businesses over the large international ones. Madara also aims to do something. I recommend those interested in such to visit their website. There you can read that Madara contributes to women and children who are exposed to violence in close relationships and trafficking, receiving a cash contribution for a psychologist. They also contribute to supporting those affected by breast cancer. So good! Otherwise, I can read that Madara has a strong focus on its ingredients, on the environment, and decent wages for its workers. So! I am impressed! But to the serum itself. The packaging is delicate. The serum smells good. It feels good on and absorbs quickly into the skin, maybe in 2 to 5 minutes. The serum is not among the cheapest, but you don’t need much product, so it will last a long time. I have mature skin, which is both dry and oily. My skin is also a bit sensitive. Now I have been using retinol for a decade, so I tolerate it well. But I suspect this one is mild enough for those who are not as experienced as well. It’s just about trying it out carefully. There’s nothing not to like. This is now my new retinol serum. I will take a closer look at Madara’s other products as well. Looking forward to it!
