Luxurious, but not a 100% match…
I already had an absolute favorite when it comes to summer perfumes. It’s called Monoi and is from a French company that has been doing mail order sales for a long time. Long before the internet existed. 😅 We can call the company Y.R., because maybe we shouldn’t name-drop other companies on Lyko’s platform? 🙈😅 Anyway, I loved that perfume. But I didn’t think it had long-lasting power on the skin. It was also an edt, so that’s not so surprising. I googled and had a conversation with Google’s AI. And it was the tiare flower that made it smell so fantastic. And I found, among other things, this one from DKNY, which could be an alternative. ☺️ I can say there was a big discount when I bought it about 4 weeks ago. I think I paid 1178 SEK for it, and then it wasn’t a hard decision whether to buy it or not. RRP 1800 SEK for 100 ml isn’t completely extreme for a high-end perfume. But the sum of money is much bigger than 1178 SEK, so I thought it over once, twice, and three times. And of course, much better to buy with a discount if there is one. ☺️ So, the packaging! HOW luxurious? And the bottle! Luxury, luxury, luxury! The bottle is incredibly beautiful! 🤩 Properly heavy (considering how thick the bottom is), and it "fits well" in the hand. The cap is magnetic. Which I have never experienced before. So to the scent. ☺️ Yes, it’s a nice and luxurious scent. You can tell it’s an EDP. The longevity on the skin is much longer. I don’t really think it’s a bad scent, but there’s something about it that makes me think it’s heavy. I googled (of course 😅). And Google said: the reason for this is that it has a base of cashmere wood, amber, and vetiver. Which gives a warm, deep, almost spicy feeling. Which is different from monoi, which is pure, sunny, and airy. Anyway. It’s not a bad scent. It was just a little too heavy for me, who prefers lighter scents.
