Oily, clown-like result
Really leaves the skin anything but “smooth”. Really oily no matter how much I shook it, the makeup had to be redone. Also, the pump stopped working after the first use. The smell is catastrophic!
Never experienced a setting spray smelling this bad! Can't spray it on my face, it smells so strongly like clay/dough (playdough). Feels unpleasant to have it on the face because of the smell! ✨ The perfect final touch for a glowing base ✨
e.l.f. Power Grip Dewy Setting Spray has quickly become a product I love to use when I want my makeup to have that extra beautiful finish. I love a base that looks fresh and a little glowy, but at the same time, I don’t want the skin to feel overly shiny or the makeup to look heavy. That’s exactly why I like this spray so much. 💕✨ The first thing I really appreciate is the spray itself. I think it distributes nicely over the face and feels light on the skin. I usually use it as the last step after I’ve finished the entire base, and I think it helps everything look more cohesive. Especially if I’ve used a bit more powder, the result can otherwise easily feel a bit too matte or powdery, and then I think this brings back that fresh feeling. I also like that the finish becomes wonderfully dewy. 🫶🏼 For me, it does a lot for the overall impression – the skin looks more alive and the makeup feels less “made-up.” I really like that feeling when you look in the mirror afterward and the base still looks like skin, just a bit more polished and even. Another thing I like is that it’s so easy to incorporate into my routine. I don’t have to think too much about how to use it. A few sprays over the face after makeup, and then it does its job. I can also use a little extra during the day when I want to freshen up the feeling. 💗 I think it’s especially good for days when I want a more glowy and soft makeup look. It works well with both a lighter base and when I’ve done a fuller makeup. The packaging also feels very typical e.l.f. – simple, nice, and practical. Fantastic 🤩
I absolutely love this setting spray! I've tried so many different ones over the years, and this is easily one of the best. It keeps my makeup looking fresh for hours while giving my skin a beautiful natural dewy finish. Best of all, it doesn't leave me looking like an oil slick, which is something I've struggled with using other setting sprays. Dupe for Milk Hydro Grip Setting Spray!
I have used Milk’s setting spray because it holds makeup incredibly well, but then I bought this one and I love it! The spray is absolutely fantastic because it spreads evenly over the whole face and has a very soft mist, nice result (glowy) and the makeup holds up well. Love this setting spray. It gives such a nice glow and the makeup melts together and holds well. Tip is to use this together with the accompanying primer for the best and most long-lasting result

Nice setting spray on a budget. Gives a nice glow, the makeup blends in nicely. But unfortunately, it doesn't last a whole day on the go. After using half the bottle(s), there's only oil left.
