The best heat protectant I've ever tried!
My favorite heat protectant! Perfect to use when you want to style your hair between washes and avoid using something sticky or a wet product, this one is completely dry and can be used directly with a curling iron/flat iron. It distributes evenly and the best part is that it's moisture-repellent and has a light hold so the styling lasts for several days!! When I use this heat protectant, my curls last for several days!! Too much texture and smell
Unlike many in the comment section here, I usually straighten my hair, rarely curl it. I can understand that this helps a lot with hold for curls, but when it comes to just straightening hair, this unfortunately wasn't a total win. The first thing that hits me is an incredibly strong smell, immediately something I don't want from a hair product. This is a recurring theme in all the products I've tested this round from Headon. If you like your hair to be the "main character" and you don't use perfume, then this is probably fantastic! šš¼ For me, who prefers my perfume to be the star and my hair to have a subtle nice scent, this was just too much for me. After using the product followed by a straightener, my hair feels.. sticky and stiff. It's definitely heat protected, but the smell and texture the product leaves after straightening made me have to wash it out the same day. My hair looked stiff and wet. I received this product from LYKO to test. This quick-drying spray is supposed to provide structure and long-lasting hold, so the hairstyle lasts all day. The formula protects the hair from heat up to 210Ā°C, allowing for safe styling and a long-lasting result. Additionally, the product is water-repellent while providing UV protection for shiny and well-protected hair! It should be sprayed on dry hair before styling for immediate effect. The bottle is simple and sleek. The product smells fresh and good. Great to have a heat-protective spray for dry hair. Easy to use both before straightening and curling the hair. Makes the curls last longer as it gives light texture/hold to the hair. I can absolutely recommend this product. Dry Shaping Heat Protection
The product was received for testing from Lyko, and now I will give my honest opinion about the product that I have had time to try out in peace. Why havenāt I tried Headon products earlier? I am actually very surprised at how good this product is. I often use heat protection, as I have a habit of drying my hair with a hairdryer and then straightening it with a flat iron. Many heat protectants leave a sticky feeling, but this one does not! My hair is coarse and naturally curly. I hate it when I have straightened my hair and go out when the weather is rainy. Then my hair reacts to the moisture and starts to curl. But since I have used this heat protection, that hasnāt happened anymore, and my hair has stayed straight. Headon Dry Shaping Heat Protection
I received this product for testing against my honest opinion š„° I really love dry heat protectants before I curl my hair. I have hair that holds styling very poorly, so if they give a little extra hold to my hair, that's a big plus in my book. I have used this on dry hair before using a curling iron. I then sprayed each section with this before I curled. I find the scent of this to be milder than the other products from Headon, and the mist is very nice, it's easy to distribute in the hair. I think it's a bit wetter than the other dry heat protectants I've tested before, so I have to let my hair dry a bit before I go in with heat tools. What brings this down a bit is that I find it gets quite sticky and gooey in the hair. Fortunately, this settles once it has dried, but I wish it were a bit drier. It definitely gives texture to the hair, a bit like a texture spray. This is probably a matter of taste, but for me with fine hair, this was a big advantage. I don't think it provided much more hold for the curls, as they slipped out quickly again, but that's probably more about my hair type that struggles to hold curls. Would choose a different product as my hair became tangled. The hair must also be completely dry when using the product.
