Headon Dry Shampoo
I received this product for testing against my honest opinion. I have typical Nordic hair - thin and straight and a sensitive scalp that easily gets oily. I haven't used dry shampoo in many years, as I always feel that they leave a white/gray residue in my hair and irritate my scalp. I prefer to wash my hair more often, quite simply. I was very excited to test this dry shampoo to see if it stood out from the others I have tested. The bottle has a simple and nice design, and the spray function works well. It distributes an even spray in the hair. I tested this on hair that hadn't been washed for a couple of days. The first impression was that it has a quite strong, masculine scent, and unfortunately, it didn't fade throughout the day. I have nothing against scent in hair products as long as I like the scent and don't feel that it competes with my perfume. But this unfortunately brings it down significantly. Aside from the scent, I unfortunately experienced the same problem with this as with other dry shampoos - that it leaves a visible white dust in my dark hair. I tried to massage it in, use a hairdryer, but the result was unfortunately the same. I also didn't feel that my hair felt clean. There was also a lot of white dust on my black bathroom sink. Mediocre product
I received this product from LYKO to test it out. It is a dry shampoo that is supposed to quickly absorb excess oil and leave the hair clean, fresh, and renewed in just a few seconds. I usually use a lot of dry shampoo both because my hair gets oily quickly (thin, light Nordic hair) and to add some volume/texture to my hair. The container itself is sleek and simple. It needs to be shaken before use for an even distribution. For best results, one should let the product sit for a few minutes before brushing through the hair. The nozzle worked well and was easy to spray. It left little to no white cast, which can often be a challenge with dry shampoos. Smelled fresh and nice. The scent disappeared quickly, Unfortunately, it made no noticeable difference to my hair. My hair felt just as oily and unwashed after application. The product was also a bit sticky at first but dried quickly. I applied a lot of product since it had little effect. The container therefore ran out quite quickly. This was not an immediate hit for me, and I feel one can get much better dry shampoo for a much more reasonable price. I got this product to try from Lyko, and here’s an honest review of the product that I’ve had time to try out in peace. I find it hard to find a good dry shampoo since I have dark hair, and many dry shampoos leave light marks at my roots, no matter how much I try to rub it into my hair. This one doesn’t leave light spots at the roots. It also leaves the hair feeling wonderfully fresh, and best of all, you get volume at the same time. I have tried a few different dry shampoos, but this is probably the only one that has really given the impression of clean hair again! The first time it got a little white, but I probably shook it too little. Since then, it has worked really well and has really removed the oily surface. The hair doesn't get that 'just washed shine' but as close as it gets without having just washed the hair. I use it sometimes to avoid washing my hair too often. It doesn't give any dry 'pine needle' to the hair either. 🤗 Very satisfied and would gladly buy again! 🥰 My hair is thin and light, has previously gotten greasy quickly but it has gotten a little better. I have curly hair, but it needs a little help along the way to get the curls out properly.
