Separates & Lifts
I like that the telescopic has come in a waterproof version, so I obviously had to test it! I'm not really a fan of the original version, but this one grew on me. Nostalgia factor but there are better and cheaper alternatives!
A little about me: long, thin, stubbornly straight, naturally dark lashes that need volume, lift, and separation! This was my favorite mascara in high school so it's a bit fun to see that it's still around and has gotten a waterproof version! The brush is very thin and angled, which makes it easy to use and is the reason why it was my favorite mascara when I was younger. The brush makes it easy to separate the lashes and have full control over the application. However, a regular "bristly" brush works better for quickly and easily adding volume. But I personally prefer a brush like this! It is, however, a bit long and straight so it can be difficult to lift the lashes, and to get all the lashes - that's where curved brushes work better. The consistency of the formula is also quite easy to handle - thin and liquid, which again gives you full control. Waterproof formula is good for avoiding mess but also a must if you, like me, have very straight and stubborn lashes. A bit hard to remove, but that's usually the case with waterproof mascaras. However, neither the formula nor the brush is particularly unique on the market (unlike what my 16-year-old self thought😅), there are, as mentioned, better brushes and better formulas. This mascara is also quite expensive for its target group/price range. For example, Essence mascaras are both better and much cheaper! Additionally, the product is not cruelty-free💔🐇 So there are definitely better alternatives out there for a much cheaper price! ➕️ Nostalgia packaging!🔭 ➕️ Brush that is relatively easy to use ➕️ Good with waterproof alternative to the original ➖️ Not a unique brush, there are better variants out there (e.g. Benefit Roller Lash is superb! Great everyday mascara
It separates the lashes nicely and provides an even application without any clumps. Since my eyelashes are quite straight and stubborn, it also gets a big plus for keeping them curled all day, and the mascara neither flakes nor gives dark shadows under the eyes. I also like the neat and slim brush that makes it easier to reach all the lashes. This mascara primarily provides definition and therefore not so much volume, which makes it perhaps better suited for those who already have full lashes or if you're looking for an everyday mascara. A lift for the eyes!
I was positively surprised by the L’Oréal Paris Telescopic Waterproof Mascara already at the first use. The consistency is just creamy enough and easy to work with. The slim brush makes it easy to reach even the shortest lashes and provides an even application. The feel on the lashes is light, and the lashes don’t feel heavy, which I really appreciate in a waterproof mascara. The result is natural. The mascara lasts all day, even in the rain. Even my daughter likes it so much that she steals it from me, so now we have to buy another one to avoid sharing. A new favorite in the makeup bag for sure. New favorite for long lashes!
I tested this mascara with Smartson and I am more than satisfied! It is a bit too wet at first, but it only took a day for it to reach a good consistency. The brush is easy to apply with and gives insane length after just one coat. It can get a bit clumpy when wet, but I found it easy to remove the clumps because of the brush. Definitely a new favorite, if you want long lashes then buy it! One of the better ones.
I tried the L’Oréal Paris Telescopic Waterproof Mascara over the summer. It has withstood swimming, sweat, and tears on many occasions. A year ago, I tried the regular non-waterproof version and was disappointed as I looked like a panda in no time. Therefore, I had significantly higher expectations for this one since it is waterproof. I have oily eyelids and try several different new mascaras every month without being a test pilot 🤪, so I know quite well what I’m looking for and what I like/don’t like. It doesn’t smell like anything special, which is positive. The consistency is quite thin, but despite that, it’s hard to apply more than one coat without it getting clumpy and spidery. If you like having lashes like spider legs, then it’s the ultimate mascara 🕷️. I don’t quite agree with the brush, I prefer a “regular” brush over this “rubber comb”. ➕ It flakes and doesn’t transfer too much onto the eyelids despite external stress. ➕ The price feels okay, often available with a discount. ➕ The scent, many mascaras can smell bad, I think. ➖ I wish it held even better during the day. Not for me.
I got to try this mascara in collaboration with Smartson. Too difficult to work with for my taste. I feel like it dries quickly, which makes it impossible to "shape" the lashes; they clump together and it's hard to separate the lashes, you end up with spider legs for lashes. The brush can't work through them as they dry and "stick" together. Then I noticed that it "smudged" onto the eyelids after a few hours when it's warm and you might have sweated a bit. I tried swimming at the pool and it held up well. I can't recommend this and therefore won't buy it either. But it was fun to be able to try it out together with Smartson. Great mascara that lasts all day
My experience with the mascara is positive, I think it was easy to apply and gave a nice result. The eyelashes became noticeably darker, thicker, and longer. The consistency felt good, quite creamy but with good blackness. For me, who has very short and straight lashes, it did get a bit clumpy, as the brush on the mascara didn't quite separate the mascara fully on my lashes, I would have wished there were different sides on the brush where one side could have a brush that separated the lashes more easily. However, I am impressed with how well the mascara stayed on the lashes, even after a whole day outdoors in summer heat with sweat and humidity, the mascara stayed in place and the eyelashes remained curled.
