Moisture 😍
As a #lykoinflutester, I got to try 4 products from the line. Matrix was a new brand for me, so it has really been an exciting task 😍 My colored (and previously bleached) hair is dry and needs a lot of moisture, and this has been fantastic for me. At first, I found the serum to be very thin and used way too much product, and my hair got a bit greasy... but quite quickly I learned to dose correctly on damp hair and add a little to the ends after a couple of days since washing. The scent is a big plus. So sweet and fresh at the same time. Maybe better for untreated hair than mine!
I have tested this oil serum from Matrix that is supposed to restore dry hair. I am familiar with Matrix from before and have also tried several products from Matrix. I am a very experienced user of both serums and hair oils as I have been using such products for at least 25 years, if not even longer. This oil serum comes in a bottle with a dropper that works well, and it smells like marzipan, a nice scent! It is very fluid and thin in consistency compared to other hair oils and serums. My hair is long and consists of many fine strands and has bleached highlights, so it needs moisture and really good hair care. I am disappointed when I test this oil serum because it does not work at all as promised for me. I have used it on both wet and dry hair and do not understand how it can be in the same line as a really good shampoo and conditioner. I am disappointed, but when my friend with dark and colored hair tries the oil serum, her hair becomes more moisturized and nice. On my hair, it does not provide a good moisturizing effect and I will not buy it again. It seems to be better on hair without bleached highlights than on my hair. I've been using the Matrix Food for Soft oil for a short time, but I already know it will stay with me longer 💚 First of all, it works great on dry and frizzy hair. It has a light, non-heavy consistency, so it doesn't leave a greasy layer or a "flat" effect, which often happens with oils. Hair after use is noticeably softer, smoother, and easier to comb – you can literally see the difference after the first application. Big plus for the scent – pleasant, delicate, and salon-like, but not overpowering. And efficiency: just one or two pumps are enough to protect the ends and give hair a healthy look. For me, it's a little rescue in daily care, especially when hair is dry after styling or in winter. My hair is medium length with bleached highlights, which makes it extra dry. The product really feels like a moisture bomb! Nourishment for damaged thick frizzy hair!
I have damaged hair from a previous bleaching where it unfortunately broke off in several places, so I am always on the lookout for products that can really make a difference. When I read about Matrix Food For Soft Multi-Use Hair Oil Serum and saw the ingredients, I actually became really hopeful – and I must say it lived up to expectations! After a few uses, I noticed that my hair felt stronger and softer, and above all protected from further damage. I have tested using it on both damp and dry hair, and both ways work great. The consistency is almost like water and it is incredibly economical – you only need a few drops to see a difference. Less is more with this one, and I usually just apply it to the lengths. My hair is thick, coarse, and also bleached and colored, but this oil made it feel significantly healthier and less frizzy. I also notice that it breaks less, which is a big plus for me. I've been using this oil for a while now, and wow… 🤩 My hair feels so soft, smooth, and shiny without being greasy or heavy. The scent is wonderful, a bit like when you've just been to the hairdresser 💇♀️ Several people have actually said that my hair looks much healthier and shinier since I started using it, and you can really tell! At first, it was a bit hard to know how much to use, but after some testing, I found that 4 drops are perfect for my fine, shoulder-length hair.
