Moisture 😍
As a #lykoinflutester, I got to try 4 products from the line. Matrix was a new brand for me, so it has really been an exciting task 😍 My colored (and previously bleached) hair is dry and needs a lot of moisture, and this has been fantastic for me. At first, I found the serum to be very thin and used way too much product, and my hair got a bit greasy... but quite quickly I learned to dose correctly on damp hair and add a little to the ends after a couple of days since washing. The scent is a big plus. So sweet and fresh at the same time. Maybe better for untreated hair than mine!
I have tested this oil serum from Matrix that is supposed to restore dry hair. I am familiar with Matrix from before and have also tried several products from Matrix. I am a very experienced user of both serums and hair oils as I have been using such products for at least 25 years, if not even longer. This oil serum comes in a bottle with a dropper that works well, and it smells like marzipan, a nice scent! It is very fluid and thin in consistency compared to other hair oils and serums. My hair is long and consists of many fine strands and has bleached highlights, so it needs moisture and really good hair care. I am disappointed when I test this oil serum because it does not work at all as promised for me. I have used it on both wet and dry hair and do not understand how it can be in the same line as a really good shampoo and conditioner. I am disappointed, but when my friend with dark and colored hair tries the oil serum, her hair becomes more moisturized and nice. On my hair, it does not provide a good moisturizing effect and I will not buy it again. It seems to be better on hair without bleached highlights than on my hair. Nourishment for damaged thick frizzy hair!
I have damaged hair from a previous bleaching where it unfortunately broke off in several places, so I am always on the lookout for products that can really make a difference. When I read about Matrix Food For Soft Multi-Use Hair Oil Serum and saw the ingredients, I actually became really hopeful – and I must say it lived up to expectations! After a few uses, I noticed that my hair felt stronger and softer, and above all protected from further damage. I have tested using it on both damp and dry hair, and both ways work great. The consistency is almost like water and it is incredibly economical – you only need a few drops to see a difference. Less is more with this one, and I usually just apply it to the lengths. My hair is thick, coarse, and also bleached and colored, but this oil made it feel significantly healthier and less frizzy. I also notice that it breaks less, which is a big plus for me. I can really recommend Matrix Food For Soft Multi-Use Hair Oil Serum! It gets top marks from me and I absolutely think it is on par with Moroccanoil's hair oils. Wow 🤩
I've been using this oil for a while now, and wow… 🤩 My hair feels so soft, smooth, and shiny without being greasy or heavy. The scent is wonderful, a bit like when you've just been to the hairdresser 💇♀️ Several people have actually said that my hair looks much healthier and shinier since I started using it, and you can really tell! At first, it was a bit hard to know how much to use, but after some testing, I found that 4 drops are perfect for my fine, shoulder-length hair. Light hair oil with a nice scent
A hair oil with quite a thin consistency that comes with a dropper. It has a very light pleasant scent that doesn't overpower. I can't quite put my finger on what it smells like, but I would say "fruity" without being overly sweet. 💚 I have thick, long, colored, wavy hair that often gets dry in the lengths. I have tested applying the oil to both dry and wet hair, both work equally well. What I've noticed is that the dropper is a bit tricky and that it can drip from it, so you have to be careful not to get too much oil. The product is economical, and a tip is to take less than you think! If you take too much, it can look a bit "greasy". As I said, I have a lot of hair, and 4 drops were too much for me, I would think that 1-2 would be sufficient. In the picture, I have applied the oil to dry hair without styling afterwards. I feel that the hair becomes soft, shiny, smooth, and that my waves are more pronounced. 🌟 It looks healthier and more well-groomed. Something I like is that the product "disappears" into the hands. They don't feel oily or sticky at all afterwards, maybe because the oil is thin and the skin can easily absorb it. 😊 Very convenient not to feel like you need to wash your hands after use. What brings the rating down a bit is the price, which is quite high for the amount you get, although I believe that one bottle will last a long time. But otherwise, I think it's a good hair oil that I believe many would like. My hair is quite dry and bleached from before, and I didn't think it did much for that part of the hair. My hair, which is untreated, became nice and soft. I think it completely depends on the quality of your hair. Nothing wow for treated hair, as mentioned. A hair oil that works.
I have had the chance to test this hair oil from Matrix that is supposed to make hair soft and eliminate dryness. The bottle is a good size with a pipette that is easy to handle. The oil is slightly thinner in consistency than the previous oil I have tested. Unfortunately, it runs out of the pipette quickly, so you have to be quick when taking it out of the bottle. The scent is nice and just right. Feels fresh. When applied to the hair, the oil spreads smoothly and is quickly absorbed by the hair. The hair becomes soft and lovely. The oil disappears quickly from the hands, so you don't feel oily; I find that other oils linger on the hands for a long time. I have been using the oil for a couple of weeks now, and my hair is soft and less frizzy and dry. I am very positive about the effect of this hair oil and very satisfied with the usage. Fantastic nourishing hair oil!
This has become a favorite for my long hair. Gives a super nice shine, makes the hair feel soft, thick, and not frizzy. After a summer with a lot of sun and salty baths, this hair oil has been like magic for my hair. I will never want to be without this again. The oil is easy to use and apply. I have tested it both on damp and dry hair, and I am impressed that it doesn't give the hair a greasy appearance like many other hair oils do. Plus, it smells really good too. Have tried better
This product is good but not good enough to fix my very dry hair. I have tried better serums that give shinier and healthier hair than this. It does make a difference, and I can imagine it being super good for slightly dry hair. I have tried using it in both dry hair and in wet hair before blow-drying. I would have liked to give it 3.5 points, but it’s not possible to give half. The bottle is nice, love the color! The scent is magical! It reminds me of something, but I unfortunately can’t figure out what… I think of summer and vacation and always smell it directly from the bottle when I open it because it smells so good. Matrix food for soft hair.

I have used it after hair growth and on towel-dried hair that I then blow-dried. I have dry, untreated hair that hasn't been cut at the salon for over 6 months. Also, I am pregnant with lots of hormones affecting me. Therefore, I thought this was a super fun product test. My positive experiences are as follows: The hair is not weighed down by the oil. The hair feels smooth and soft. The hair has become noticeably softer. The hair stays fresh longer. The oil is not sticky and smells good. My negative experiences. Maybe the hair could have been even more moisturized. That the effect should last even longer. But this is of course individual. No greater effect
Fairly neutral scent. Easy to get a suitable amount of oil to massage into the hair. I have untreated long hair that is quite dry due to being a swimmer and exposing my hair to chlorinated water and many washes a week. I don't notice any significant change in my hair after starting to use this serum. The hair does not get greasy at all, which I find my hair could get from other hair oils, but I also don't feel that it gives the hair much moisture or softens it. Maybe I need to use it for a longer time and/or in combination with shampoo and conditioner... Matrix hair oil
What I like about it is that it smells good, lasts a very long time, and makes the hair incredibly soft and smooth. I have used it on both dry and wet hair and think it works as it should without leaving the hair greasy like it can with other oils. What I don't like about it is the bottle and the dropper since the hole is too big and the dropper doesn't work as it should, so it drips a little too much.
