Nourishing and Moisturizing Lips
In collaboration with @smartson, I had the chance to test Maybelline New York Lifter Glaze Lip Balm in the shade 01 Clear Crav.đ What does this promise? âšïžSheer color that can be built up for intensity âšïžNourishing and moisturizing âšïžGlazed finish âšïžGet a glow when you wake up âšïžThe formula melts onto the lips upon application đ Review; I really liked this lip balm. The lips become so soft after application and feel so moisturizing. It melts into the lips so quickly and then just feels soft. It smells so good, but not too strong, which I like. Smells like some kind of vanilla flavor, almost so good that you want to taste it đđThe product itself feels very luxurious but at an incredibly good price. Costs 139 kr, which I think is a good price for such a good product. Will be sitting on the shelf until everything else is gone
"Nice casing" I think. "Way too bulky to have in my pocket or bag" says the teenager. But the name is more than just cool - it also promises "Glaze", so we are still excited to try it. Both my daughter and I are a bit obsessed with lip products - me: long-lasting color or skincare balm, her: neutral tones and moisturizing shine. Here we get... almost none of that...? Lifter Glaze Lip Balm 01 Clear Crave gives a short-lived moisturizing feel with an unexpectedly discreet shine considering the name. I find the stick very soft, which is pleasant but suggests that the product will not be very long-lasting. The inci shows some nice oils, but to work as a lip care product, I would have liked to see peptides or similar, and a thicker consistency. Since we are testing the uncolored variant, it also can't be used as makeup: "Maybe it works over a lip liner" my daughter wonders, but doesn't seem too eager to try. We conclude that for an otherwise fun makeup brand and a promising name, it feels very much like ... lip balm. That isn't convenient to carry around. (But on the shelf, it looks nice alongside the other Maybelline products!) đ Glossy and Soft Lips in No Time đ
Maybelline Lifter Glaze Lip Balm in 02 Pink Drip is truly one of those lip products I like to keep close at hand. I love when my lips get a bit of color and lots of shine, but still feel soft and comfortable. This one is perfect when I want a simple lip look that still feels a little extra special. âš The first thing that caught my eye is the beautiful pink shade. Pink Drip gives the lips a sweet and feminine touch without feeling too intense. I find it very easy to wear daily and it works just as well when I want a little color as when I want to complement a more polished makeup look. I really like the feeling of a lip balm that also gives that glossy finish. đ The lips instantly look more hydrated and plump, and I think it makes a huge difference for the whole look. Itâs the kind of product I can use all by itself when I want to keep my makeup simple, but also layer on top of a lip liner when I want a bit more definition. What I appreciate extra is how easy it is. I donât need to stand in front of the mirror for several minutes to get a nice result. A little product on the lips and Iâm done. đ«¶đŒ That makes it perfect to have in my bag and pull out during the day when I feel my lips need a little extra shine and color. I also think it pairs really nicely with a glowing base, blush, and a bit of mascara. It creates that simple, feminine makeup where the lips are the little extra detail. đž The packaging is also cute and handy, and the product itself feels very easy to use. I really like products like this that you can use without having to think too much â especially on days when I want to look put together but still feel relaxed. Maybelline Lifter Glaze in Pink Drip is simply a real everyday favorite for me. Soft feel, pretty pink color, and lovely shine all in one. Tastes like perfume for hours
I was really excited about this product but after two weeks I can't take it anymore. It tastes like pure perfume. And the taste stays in the mouth like you've inhaled hairspray. I feel the bitter perfume taste for hours after applying it. Bought the color Latte Crush. Comparable to Dior
I have been using Dior's product that is almost exactly like this for years, and I was so excited to discover the Maybelline product, which is, in my opinion, just as good, if not better, than the Dior product. This is saving me a lot of money. I have several colours. Wonderful color and durability
The lips feel soft, and you can apply either a little or a lot depending on how strong an effect you want from the color. Very nice lipstick
I bought this lipstick inspired by comparisons to the shade Black Honey from Clinique Almost Lipstick. I tried the original lipstick and I must admit that this one from Maybelline is a great, much cheaper alternative (although the shade Açaà Glaze is more cherry-colored). First of all, it moisturizes! It has a pleasant scent and convenient packaging. Due to its light consistency, it spreads easily on the lips. It doesn't stick. You can build up a stronger coverage. The longevity is typical for glosses - it wears off when eating and drinking, but evenly, without streaks. It is also very economical - you only need a small amount to cover the lips. I haven't noticed any drying or irritation, on the contrary - after longer use, the lips seem smoother. The price in relation to the quality is fair in my opinion.
