All about plant-based nail polish

Plant-based ? What’s that when it’s at home? Quite simply, it means that up to 84% of our ingredients are made from plant-based, renewable raw materials, such as potato, manioc and cotton. And we’ve replaced petrochemical solvents with plant-based alternatives.

Added to this, our PURE color range is absent of paraben, toluene, dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde, xylene, styrene, camphor, resin of formaldehyde, benzophenone-1 and nanoparticles.

Perfect manicure

Before you start, remove any old nail polish and wash and dry hands thoroughly. A clean surface is the key to a long-lasting, smooth manicure!

1. Apply base coat. No cheating – this step is the foundation for your color and is not to be skipped!
2. Apply one coat of Mona in three quick swipes: one brushstroke down the middle of the nail and then one on each side. Leave a one-millimetre gap between the cuticle and the color for a salon-style finish.
3. For additional color intensity and coverage, apply a second coat.
4. Top coat is more than just an accessory! Add a coat for added shine and extended wear.

- Mona suits all skin tones but has a particularly penchant for porcelain-skinned red heads.
- Gloopy polish? Revive by adding a couple of drops of nail polish remover or buy a new bottle of the same color and add your old stock to that for a zero-waste solution!
