What kind of routine can I create with these skincare products?
I have long suffered from various types of skin issues (dryness, acne, acne scars, redness, and large pores) and have tried many different products that haven't felt helpful. I just bought several skincare products that I hope will help, but I'm not sure in what order to use the products or what a good and effective skincare routine would be. Like a time travel, but the bad kind 🥹
I have had acne problems since my teenage years, where it has gone in waves. A little over two years ago, I finally went to a dermatologist and got help. I was on isotretinoin for a little over 7 months and finally got rid of it. Since I stopped the treatment, I have only gotten a few isolated pimples. I use Niactil, which I love, and it has been great. But I thought about alternating with another serum with niacinamide to stretch it a bit. I wanted to try this since it had mostly received very good reviews. I am always cautious with new products and introduce them slowly and one at a time. I know that the skin can react to new products and that there can be “purging.” But I got a lot of new and inflamed pimples, big and painful. When I stopped using it, they disappeared; it might have stopped if I had continued. Affordable and effective
I was recommended to use niacinamide after skin analysis. I decided to try this serum by The Ordinary and for me it was really effective - my skin became smoother and post acne spots disappear quicker. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin and doesn't affect my daily makeup. Destroyed my skin barrier
10% niacinamide is too much. I learned that you don’t need more than 2% for it to have an effect. 5% can be okay, but for beginners, it’s wise to start with something less potent like 2%. I’ve been using cicaplast for a year now to restore my skin barrier, and I must say it has worked really well so far. If you want to use niacinamide with 2%, I recommend Purito phantenol moisturizer or I’m from Rice toner, both of which contain 2% niacinamide 😄 Just remember to check if you might be using multiple products that contain the same active ingredient.
