    The Ordinary Niacinamide

Re-stocking. My all time skin care product. It lightens pimple marks and evens out skin.

Like a time travel, but the bad kind 🥹

I have had acne problems since my teenage years, where it has gone in waves. A little over two years ago, I finally went to a dermatologist and got help. I was on isotretinoin for a little over 7 months and finally got rid of it. Since I stopped the treatment, I have only gotten a few isolated pimples. I use Niactil, which I love, and it has been great. But I thought about alternating with another serum with niacinamide to stretch it a bit. I wanted to try this since it had mostly received very good reviews. I am always cautious with new products and introduce them slowly and one at a time. I know that the skin can react to new products and that there can be “purging.” But I got a lot of new and inflamed pimples, big and painful. When I stopped using it, they disappeared; it might have stopped if I had continued. But I didn’t want to risk it getting worse again now that it has finally gotten better 🥹 #lykoreview

    Niacinamide

Hi, I use it on my face and love it. I wonder if it can also be used under the eyes? Thanks in advance

Hi Ludmila😊 Thank you for your question, and how fun that you love The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%!✨ When it comes to using the product around the eyes, it’s important to be careful since the skin there is thinner and more sensitive. Some may experience irritation or redness if the product is applied too close to the eye area. I therefore recommend avoiding applying it directly under the eyes. If you want something specific for the eye area, an eye cream or serum tailored for this area might be a better alternative, like this one: lyko.com/sv/the-ordinary/the-ordinary-caffein-solution-5--egcg I hope my answer can be helpful and that you have a super nice day🌞

    good basic serum

I use this occasionally alongside deep cleansing of the skin (clay mask, salicylic acid, etc.) and it works well there. sometimes it causes a strange stinging on my skin, so I might not recommend it for the most sensitive skin.

What kind of routine can I create with these skincare products?

I have long suffered from various types of skin issues (dryness, acne, acne scars, redness, and large pores) and have tried many different products that haven't felt helpful. I just bought several skincare products that I hope will help, but I'm not sure in what order to use the products or what a good and effective skincare routine would be. I would also gladly accept product recommendations that could complement my routine.

    Great purchase!

Provides good moisture and glow. Very nice to use together with Retinol. Good price compared to other niacinamide products.

Can this be used simultaneously with acne creams?

I am using Differin (in the evenings) & Skinoren (in the mornings) (and have been on an antibiotic course), but it feels like they are not providing enough response. Would this be a good addition to the routine?😊

Hey Martha! 🥰 If the results of the acne creams are not as desired, additional treatment can be considered, but it is important to be cautious of excessive irritation. This serum can be a good addition to the routine. It can be combined with adapalene and azelaic acid, as long as you monitor that the skin does not start to irritate 😊 I recommend starting the niacinamide serum moderately (e.g. every other day) and observing how the skin reacts. If the skin starts to feel irritated or dry, it’s best to stop using it and discuss alternatives with your dermatologist! 🩷

    Less pores and more glow

This works fantastically to reduce the visibility of pores, and along with that, I think you get a more even skin tone with more glow ✨️✨️ Whenever I feel like my skin looks a bit dull, it’s because I’ve stopped using niacinamide. The only reason it doesn’t get a full score is that I feel like NO MATTER how good it is, it doesn’t become a 100% wow. I still see some large pores despite regular and long-term use, and it also tends to foam a bit in combination with certain other products. Regardless - absolutely worth!!

    Acne?

Does this work for a teenage girl with acne scars and acne? Does it also work with products from La Roche-Posay?

Hey Thilda! 👋 Absolutely, this is suitable for teenage skin with acne as it helps to balance oil production and prevents clogged pores. It works well to use it with products from La Roche-Posay, but keep in mind not to combine it with more niacinamide products in the same routine as it can be a bit much for the skin 🩷 Take care! 🌸
