It’s a hydrating prep step that helps your skin absorb the products applied afterwards. You should apply it before your serums. It works well with most serum ingredients like vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and peptides. There are no specific ingredients you need to avoid with this essence, but be cautious when combining strong actives (like high-strength acids and retinoids) in the same routine if you have sensitive skin.
