Treo effervescent tablets contain 500 mg of acetylsalicylic acid and 50 mg of caffeine. Treo is your go-to for occasional headaches, toothaches, menstrual cramps, fever, and migraines.
With a powerful combo of acetylsalicylic acid and caffeine, Treo delivers pain relief, reduces fever, and fights inflammation. Acetylsalicylic acid eases pain by blocking the production of certain substances called prostaglandins. Its fever-reducing effect comes from increasing the body's heat loss. Caffeine not only boosts the pain-relieving power of acetylsalicylic acid but also has its own pain-relieving properties by constricting dilated blood vessels in the brain, especially during migraines. Plus, caffeine gives you that little pick-me-up!
When mixed with water, Treo creates a clear solution that's gentler on the stomach than regular solid acetylsalicylic acid tablets. You’ll start feeling the effects within 30 minutes, with peak relief occurring after 1-2 hours.
For adults and teens over 14 years: Take 1-2 tablets 1-3 times a day or as directed by your doctor, with a maximum of 6 tablets per day. Taking more than 2 effervescent tablets at once won’t enhance pain relief. If symptoms worsen or don’t improve within 3 days for fever and migraines, or within 5 days for pain, consult your doctor.
Usage for children: Treo should not be given to children under 14 years.
Warning: Do not give to individuals under 18 years with fever without consulting a doctor due to the risk of Reye's syndrome, a rare but serious condition. Dissolve the effervescent tablet in half a glass of water.
Do not use Treo if you have had allergic reactions such as asthma, breathing difficulties, hay fever, or hives when using acetylsalicylic acid or certain other anti-inflammatory medications. Treo should also be avoided by those with ulcers, hemophilia, low platelet count (thrombocytopenia), liver cirrhosis, severe heart failure, or severe kidney disease.
Pregnant women should not use Treo during the last three months of pregnancy. Women planning to become pregnant or who are pregnant should avoid taking Treo. Treatment during any part of pregnancy should only occur under a doctor's prescription.
