New favorite 😍
Absolutely wonderful moisturizing, luxurious, and lightweight toner. The skin glows glass-like after application and feels really fresh. After a couple of weeks of use, my skin looks brighter and feels more hydrated. The scent is pleasantly herbal, coming naturally from ginseng. I really like the scent, and you don't notice it after application. I'll be honest i didn't really enjoy this one. Just like the whole Ginseng line from BoJ, it has that strong smell. The consistency is as the name states water. To my disappointment, it didn't do much, if anything. 🌿✨ Such a simple essence – but the skin loves it!
I have really gotten hooked on Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Essence Water! This is one of those products that feels very simple at first use, but I notice it makes my skin softer, more hydrated, and fresher. 🥹🤍 The consistency is almost like water, and that’s actually something I love. It feels super light on the skin, absorbs quickly, and leaves no annoying sticky residue. Perfect when I want to build up several layers of skincare without everything feeling heavy. ✨ What I like most is the moisture and the nice glow. The skin feels a bit more plumped and well-cared-for afterwards, and I really think it works well under makeup too. Several Lyko users highlight that it absorbs quickly and works well under makeup. The formula contains a full 80% ginseng water, plus 2% niacinamide and 0.04% adenosine. Beauty of Joseon has mainly developed it to provide moisture and nourishment, and it’s especially targeted at skin that can be oily on the surface but drier deeper down. I usually hold a little in my hands and press it into the skin after cleansing. It almost feels like a little extra hydration step, and then I continue with serum and face cream. 🤍 One thing I actually find a bit special is the scent. It’s fragrance-free, but since it contains ginseng, it can have a natural, slightly herbal scent. I don’t find it bothers me, but I really understand that it can feel unusual for some. There are also Lyko reviews where people really love the product while others don’t notice much effect or don’t like the scent. And that’s probably my only small objection: I think it’s very good for moisture and as a soothing middle layer, but I wouldn’t say it alone gives an extremely dramatic result. It’s more a product that makes the whole skincare routine better. 🥹✨ 150 ml also feels like a really good size, and I find it easy to use both morning and evening. Good composition, but the effects are rather average
The essence has a very light, almost watery formula that absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn't leave a film or stickiness. For me, that's a big plus. The product has a very subtle scent, a bit strange, but not overwhelming. The composition is really good - 80% ginseng extract, niacinamide, adenosine - so everything that should support regeneration, hydration, and brightening of the skin. This is not a product that will work miracles, but it works great as a daily moisturizing step. I believe it will work better for people with combination/oily skin than for dry skin that needs stronger hydration. I like to use it in the morning because it gives a feeling of freshness and lightness, and at the same time adds a natural glow to the skin. Without a doubt, it is suitable under makeup, as it does not cause increased oiliness and shine. In summary: as you can see, I have used the entire bottle and I rate this product as good, but not outstanding. If you are looking for something gentle, natural, and lightly moisturizing - it is suitable. Ingredients
Ginseng essence water contains 80% of ginseng water and focuses on the benefits of ginseng itself, giving sufficient moisture and nutrition to the skin. It fills moisture and nutrition firmly to help keep your skin moisturized for a long period of time.
This essence is for skin that is oily outside but dry inside, and for sensitive skin easily damaged by external factors.
It also contains 2% of Niacinamide and 0,04% of Adenosine for the further benefits of sebum control, and anti-wrinkle.
Use:
1. Use it as Toning water: Wet a cotton pad with it and gently wipe it from inside to the outside of skin to smooth out the skin texture.
2. Use it as Cleansing water: After washing your face with cleansing foam, mix the toner in clean water at a ratio of 9:1 to finish with toner cleansing.
3. Use it as Moisturizing essence: Take product on your hands and let it absorb into your skin to replenish moisture.
4. Use it as Moisturizing mist: Put it in a mist container and spray it frequently as a toner mist when the skin is dry.
