Wonderful cleansing for both face & body🌸
I have now tested this CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser for normal to dry skin for face and body for a few weeks, and here are my experiences and thoughts after my testing period! A bit about my skin type: Face: Normal/combination, mature, large pores especially in the t-zone, great need for hydration, occasional crow's feet fine lines and sensitive! Occasional pigmentation! Body: Normal/combination, dryness can occur, great need for moisturizing products! It's fun to have the opportunity to test a new brand that doesn't otherwise appear here at home in the cabinet! The packaging is so incredibly practical for getting the right dosage! Also very fresh with a pump, well done! The formula is milky and doesn't get slippery right away, but leaves a slight white film after a while of massaging on damp skin! The formula feels nice and soft on the skin, a big plus that it is unfragranced! I find my skin very well cleansed and the cleanser is easy to rinse off! The skin gets a result with hydration and a clean fresh feeling! I am very satisfied with the product! Works perfectly for both body and face! Well done! My skin is dry and tight from this☃️
I was super happy when I was going to try this on my dry skin since it’s a moisturizing cleanser. It’s been cold and it’s winter, so my skin is even drier now than my already dry skin is in the summer. Now in winter, I mostly use balm and sometimes an oil cleanser, and I always use micellar. Preferably fragrance-free since my skin is sensitive. It might be that this works better in the summer, but right now in January, this cleanser is not working well for me and my skin is getting dry and tight. It doesn’t lather excessively much, so I thought it would work, but it didn’t. It’s fragrance-free, which is really good, and the pump works great, but my skin is getting too dried out from it. Unfortunately. I will go in and change my rating if it works better in the summer, which I have no idea if it will. The positive, besides being gentle on the skin, is that it cleans well anyway. But with the fact that this cleanser claims to be moisturizing and makes my skin tight instead of just somewhat hydrated is not so fun. Big favorite with many functions!
I always keep one in the shower. Perfect for morning cleansing when the skin feels a bit sensitive and tight. I have a combination skin type (oily-normal/dry), which is also sensitive (rosacea, prone to eczema), and easily becomes dry on the surface (generally, but depends a lot on harsh acne treatments). I always wash my face twice, morning and evening. This is a favorite in the morning if the skin needs a gentler cleanse. I also use the cleanser for the body (which, unlike the face, is dry as heck). I shower often because of my job (healthcare profession), and this cleanser prevents me from getting too dry. Another use is for shaving, legs, and intimate areas. It works excellently for shaving. The cleanser is creamy, easy to spread on the skin and massage around. Because of my oily skin, I tend to rub a bit more around the T-zone. Despite that, the skin doesn’t get irritated as the fingers glide easily. When rinsing off, I do it like with an oil/balm cleanser where I “dissolve” the cleanser with wet fingers before rinsing to avoid leaving a residue. Honestly, I don’t know if a residue is left, but I have bad experiences with milk cleansers, so it’s a habit I keep when it comes to more moisturizing/non-foaming cleansers. The skin feels clean and moisturized afterward, without feeling too clean or too “sticky.” I love this! Mild and milky cleansing
I have normal/combination skin and have been using this cleanser for quite some time now. I bought it because you get a lot of product for the money. It really is an affordable and mild cleanser. The texture is light and milky, and I really appreciate the pump function on the bottle which makes it very easy to use. It hasn’t irritated my skin at all, not even my sensitive eyes. It doesn’t feel like it dries out the skin and it has no scent. It’s simply a very gentle product. It also removes makeup well. I usually complement it with micellar water. Worth noting is that it doesn’t foam at all, which for me is a bit of a downside. A foaming cleanser gives the impression of a cleaner result. Overall, this is a very good and mild cleanser. It preserves the skin barrier and is formulated for normal/dry skin, so it was not intended to work on the T-zone and deeply cleanse. The best face wash ever!

I have really loved this cleanser from CeraVe. I use it in the morning because I personally need to wash my face in the morning with more than just water. I use a lot of products and heavy creams in the evening that need to be washed off. I find that it is not cleansing enough if I use it in the evening when I have had makeup and sunscreen on during the day, but in the morning it is perfect. It doesn’t sting my eyes, the skin feels incredibly hydrated after cleansing, not dry and tight like with many other cleansers. I have dry skin.
