Kérastase 8H Magic Night Serum
I have tested Kérastase Nutritive 8H Magic Night Serum as part of my evening hair routine for 3 months, and this is actually a product I have changed my opinion about since my first experience was not particularly impressive... When I started using it, my hair was in significantly worse condition than it is today. The first few times, I almost felt like my hair felt worse the next morning... a bit stiff and almost like chewing gum in texture. But after improving my overall hair care routine and getting my hair in better condition, I started to notice something completely different. Now I feel that the serum really can do its job 🩷 I only use it the evening after washing my hair, on lengths and ends, and let it work overnight. The next morning, the lengths feel softer, more manageable, and well cared for, and I think the hair gets a nicer shine and less frizz. It actually made me think about how much the starting condition of the hair affects how a product is experienced. Sometimes it might not be the product that is wrong, the hair might simply need a different type of care first. Personally, I like it. I think it feels a bit luxurious and almost like a little spa/salon feeling before bedtime. 🥰 I was actually quite skeptical after my first uses. When my hair was in worse condition, I didn’t feel the "wow feeling" I had hoped for at all. But today, when my hair care routine works better and my hair is in a better basic condition, I have had a completely different experience. For me, it is therefore not a product I use every night, but an extra caring step after washing my hair when I want to give the lengths a little more care overnight. It doesn’t feel like a miracle cure, but like a product that complements an already good hair care routine.
