YES! Also wow! they couldn't say they had upgraded the products - both design and quality. From previous experience, I have had mixed experiences from makeupstore - a lot of good, but also a little less good. But this!!! made me say WOW as I applied the product. The packaging is classic, simple, and with soft edges. It is also smooth, so if any makeup gets ruined or the sharpener opens in the makeup bag and gets smeared with lipliner residue (hehe, might have happened to me), it’s easy to wipe it off🙌🏼 it also has a mirror! The only thing is with long nails, I wonder how easy this is to open? But I feel it’s easy to open and close, but unfortunately, I have short nails at the moment. I still think back to Rose Inc's blush with a magnet open/close function. Seriously, the ONLY thing this product doesn’t have that I feel could have been better. The product is pretty much flawless🤩 If I really have to search, hmm maybe a cooler shade? since most are warm? but again, I feel so fresh and that I have kept the summer glow into the wintertime🥹 The product itself is really what to talk about here. I have tried endlessly different bronzers but must honestly say I have found a new favorite. It’s like a mix between cream and powder. I love that it’s not too extreme in pigment, which makes it easier to build up than to be unfortunate and get too much on the first stroke. I really can’t get over how creamy it is! it melts into the skin and feels light as if it’s a part of my skin. A light glow too. No, I’m so so SO satisfied!💗 For the bronzer, I used my Caia pointed powder brush f10. Good makeup brushes also have a lot to say for the application of makeup. Super soft and light in hand😌☁️💗
First of all, I love how the brush is packaged. I've never received makeup brushes with these «plastic fish nets» on. It gives a very good impression that these are of quality and need proper protection. It's also very understandable for this brush, and their domed powder brush #06 is so incredibly soft!!! I imagine you have to be a little careful with them so they keep their nice shape. They are absolutely not compact, hard, and thick makeup brushes🥰 The design is sleek, the silver color is identical to Caia's. The differences are that makeupstore's are light (Caia:dark), soft, and light «hair» (Caia: soft but more compact/heavy «hair») and black writing (Caia:white). And finally: makeupstore's can stand on their own!!! A little wobbly but stabilizes easily after about 2 seconds. It might have been easier if they were thicker…BUT the fact that they are so thin gives a similar «brush» feeling, so I notice they are lighter in hand when I do my makeup. You can see the makeup brushes compared in the last picture☺️ I only tried this with their highlighter in the color Pearl Glow (wrote a separate review on that). Worked perfectly for that. But I was surprised at how soft it was. Almost TOO soft? I noticed I had to press the hairs together to pick up more product. But I let go before I was going to apply. But it's completely individual how little or much one wants☺️ I've only tried this with the highlighter but think that this might help to use on an overly pigmented product to avoid it becoming TOO intense. I seriously haven't bought a highlighter since I got my The balm mary-lou manizer! I was so lucky to test this in the color Pearl Glow✨ Compared to the balm's, this one is myyye prettier in the «powder form/consistency». No visible glitter particles. If you want a clearly intense highlighter, I recommend The balm's. BUT if you want a more natural glow, this is spot on!🥰 Perfect when using mattifying products and wanting a bit of life back to the face, but still wanting a natural finish. Or you use products that add glow but want to glow a little extra😋 Using their tapered highlighter brush #04 it was applied so incredibly easily and beautifully on the skin (own review on that). If you want a more intense glow, I would recommend using a more compact, firmer brush, possibly a smaller one to place on a smaller area but give more clear shine. But for a natural finish, their soft one is perfect!🙌🏼 The packaging is like the other products - classic, simple, stylish, soft edges. Just absolutely gorgeous!😌💗 I wish I had taken a video of it on my face too to properly show how glowy it is. I feel the picture doesn't show it enough. But you can see I placed it on the «bridge of the nose», the tip of the nose, on the top of the lips (forgot what that's called). I've never been near a makeup brush as soft as the ones from makeupstore! I tried this one and their tapered highlight brush and WOW sooooo soft! I got to test it with the blush and it was a delight to apply with it. The product melted into the skin. Felt easy to apply and to «wear» the makeup (reviewed blush, bronzer, and highlight too). Visually, it gives a similar vibe to Caia's - which is nice for me because then they don't clash in my makeup brush bag😌 it means a lot for my well-being haha. They are both in the same silver color. But they also have their differences. Makeupstore's are completely light in the «hairs», black writing, and incredibly sleek in design with a slightly angular flat tip. While Caia's are dark in the «hairs», white writing, and thick in design with a flat but soft tip. I feel that because of makeupstore's design, I naturally want to be lighter on my hand? And a plus that the brush can stand on its own (a little wobbly so it takes 2 seconds to stabilize it, at least for me hehe). You can see the comparison in the last picture☺️ I also must not forget to mention how much I loved how it was packaged! The «plastic fish nets» I will keep. It reminds me of a YouTube video where I saw someone use such when they were drying or transporting (or both?) makeup brushes to not ruin the shape. The only downside I can think of is that the softer they are, the less product they scrape up. But that allows for building up the product and not applying too much at first. Easy to create a natural result. But if I want a lot of product, I have to squeeze the hairs together to get up product and then release it before I apply the product to my face. I experienced this when I tried their blush. I love that this is a hybrid of powder and cream. I can never really decide what I prefer between the two. I've also caught myself applying a layer of cream and then a layer of powder - so this feels just right! Usually, I choose a darker tone blush, but this time I decided to go for a lighter, cooler tone - frosted pink💗 I thought. It wasn't quite as cool light pink as I hoped and thought. But nice color and absolutely "wearable"😋💗 Like the whole series, the packaging is NOW in a classic simple design with soft edges. Makeupstore has really upgraded the design and quality: Makeupstore feels more luxurious now💅🏼 I found this a bit difficult to build up, but I wonder if a lot has to do with how light and soft their brush was (own review on that). But an incredibly nice color! But I feel it comes out more if I skip bronzer and stick to the pale winter skin☃️ But then you don't have to worry about putting on TOO much blush. But I hoped it would give a bit of the same vibe as the nyx buttermelt highlighter in the color u butta werk, just not quite as much highlight effect. I should say I haven't tried it myself but have a friend who uses it. Possibly like Ysl's make me blush 42 - a strong cool pigmented pink blush. But I will see this is less pigmented and warmer in tone than those. But I should say I've been using this blush since! perfect for everyday. But when I want to dress up more, I use one of my other blushes that are a bit more pigmented. I now use the blush together with my Caia multi-use brush F03. It is a bit more compact than their domed powder brush #06 (own review on that), so I feel it was easier to build up a bit like that. But nice to finish with the softest brush to achieve that nice "melted into the skin" effect. Unfortunately, no picture or video of the difference🫠 Therefore, it doesn't come across well in the picture how much more pigmented it can get. Incredibly hard to see it at all, but I promise it was more obvious in reality. But I'm considering buying it in one of the darker shades, because WOW the product is incredibly creamy and blends so incredibly well🙌🏼 it also feels incredibly light on the skin! I've also tried bronzer, highlighter, tapered highlighter brush #04, and as mentioned in this, their domed powder brush #06. Incredibly beautiful Christmas gift! but didn't fit me
The first impression was how beautiful the box it came in was! The color perfectly reflects the products, and the design fits perfectly for Christmas😍 I started with joy to try the products. The first impression is that the products have an intense citrus/orange scent. Strong scent is something I notice is a characteristic among Lumene's skincare products. This can be a miss for those who can't handle strong scents. But right on target for those who love fragrances. Taste and preference☺️ I noticed some days it became a bit much, while on other days I liked it. The second impression is that the serum absorbs quickly into the skin and gives a lovely glow. The same goes for the cream. I used the combo daily for about a week, but had to stop as I felt my skin didn't like these products. My skin didn't necessarily get worse, but I noticed I missed my other products that I think suit my sensitive combination skin better. I didn't get intensely red or itchy, so I didn't react badly to the products. But I felt that my skin in the long run couldn't breathe. I therefore did a deep cleanse and went back to my own products. I feel these products are well-suited for those who may have drier and tired skin. Because if there was one thing they did well, it was precisely that - a fresh glow to the face. Which is nice especially at this time of year. But unfortunately, it didn't suit my skin. Something I still struggle with. But I'm glad I got to test them. The last thing was that I also didn't feel they worked well with my makeup? I tried to wait until it was properly absorbed, even though I felt it did so instantly? Throughout the day, I could on some days roll off my makeup with my finger… not so pleasant. Disappointing because I really wanted to like them, but they were wrong for me. First of all, I just want to mention that this was done a bit in haste, I was so unfortunate to write the wrong date on the calendar for the review. I apologize so much for the poor quality of the video. But I hope the review gets across the important points💗 The first impression is an incredibly cute packaging. While the actual packaging of the product is very sleek and has a classic design. Even though I prefer gold, silver rarely goes wrong. I quickly think of their classic Black Honey Lipstick, which is in silver, so it creates a nice connection in the series. Second is the scent, which smells almost like nothing? Something I appreciate because I find that many lip oils have an incredibly intense mint scent that I can't handle. So a big plus for the scent! Or should I say for having almost no scent? haha Third is the product itself - it has an incredibly nice color! In the video, you can see me wearing it combined with the lip liner from Mac in the color Whirl - such a nice combo! Perfect for fall🍂 The product feels very soft on the lips and not heavy. On the cheeks, it is a bit sticky, but the feeling goes away quickly and feels like one with the skin. The oil gives a glow on the cheeks in addition to the light color, a bit like a blush highlight combo. From experience, I feel the color fades throughout the day, so I will combine it with another blush as a base. If you want a more INTENSE color, I would combine it with another blush, for example, a matte creamy blush as a base. If it might not be the right one for you blush-wise at all, it can still be perfect for your lips. What I can say for sure is that this will definitely be thrown in my bag😍 especially this fall! FOR a product😍
First of all, I just want to emphasize that I have tried almost the entire series, except for the conditioner. I postponed trying it until I got the conditioner but ended up not getting it in time due to production issues. Thus, I have tried the series without the step of conditioner. But I look forward to trying it as well. The first impression of the product was so incredibly good. It comes in an incredibly nice cardboard box. When I opened it, it was truly a WOW feeling. Many hair oils come in completely different forms, but getting this one in a ball shape was so sickly fun. It feels a bit extra luxurious. Completely blank on what it’s called, but I love those that come out with such a dropper. There’s also something about it being transparent, also nice to see how much product is left and when it might be time to buy a new one. I might not be the biggest fan of chrome like the K is on the other products in the series, while this one is simple pink. So it appealed to me in many ways. Big plus just for the packaging itself. But the little extra could have been maybe pearl shimmer on the K? The scent is feminine, soft, and warm. A bit tangy but not as tangy as the rest of the series. My hair is very thin and highlighted. I usually struggle with a quickly oily scalp and dry ends. My hair has recently been cut and colored, so it’s not as dry as it usually is. But this series gives hope that I won’t need a new cut for a long time🤞🏼 I emptied a whole pump into my hand, massaged it well into my hands, and applied it to my hair. It gives a nice shine that I don’t feel comes through well enough on camera. The feeling is that it feels silky soft and super light. I have tried many hair oils where I really have to be careful to rub it in properly into my hands before applying, and even then it can quickly become too much, making the hair oily. But this one works like dry oils for the skin - it absorbs quickly. Which is great for my thin hair. This will definitely be used again! Unfortunately, no time to style my hair, but I can imagine this can bring out the curls a little extra, so I’m really looking forward to trying that. I’ll try to remember to do it when I get to try the conditioner as well. In the pictures, you can see no.1 BEFORE picture, no.2 AFTER picture of shampoo and leave-in conditioner, and finally no.3 where I have this hair oil in. Unfortunately, I feel the camera doesn’t capture how much shine it actually added. Finally, I want to say that the only downside is that the price is in the upper price range in relation to the content of 45ml. It’s about 13-14kr per ml. But the quality of the product, so I understand why it’s in the upper price range. These compared to regular spray nozzles create an incredibly fine mist, feel so luxurious, and are so easy to apply. Additionally, it has a great lock/open function. The packaging has a nice pink color, although if I were to be picky, I would have liked it in a slightly darker shade like the rest of the series, a bit like the one on the conditioner. The chrome label is stylish, but chrome is not my favorite. But I know many friends who would have liked that detail. For me, it would have been cool to see it in more pearl shimmer. But that is very much a matter of taste and very picky of me haha. But definitely something I can have out and that looks satisfying. The scent is feminine and a bit tangy. The feminine scent in conjunction with the tangy, I can't quite put my finger on what it is - neither candy smell nor flower? But I conclude that it smells good. My hair is very thin and highlighted. I usually struggle with a quickly oily scalp and dry ends. The hair has recently been cut and colored, so it is not as dry as it usually is. But this series gives hope that I won't need a new haircut for a long time🤞🏼 Using the product was a delight. I love the fine mist and how silky soft the hair feels immediately. I had to comb my hair as it easily tangled, but with this, I got it out easily🙌🏼 Afterward, I blow-dried my hair, and picture no. 2 was taken after that.
