Long-term investment in skin
I have been testing the Therabody TheraFace Mask Glo for a while now, and these are my thoughts after using it regularly in my routine.🫶🏼 💡 Fun fact: Light therapy is actually not new, it was used by NASA already in the 90s to help with wound healing 👀 💚 Pros: 🟢 Feels very sturdy and like a real quality product 🟢 Has three types of light therapy (red, infrared, and blue) in one 12-minute session. Very convenient 🟢 A really nice self-care thing if you can get it into your routine 🟢 Super easy to clean (something I appreciate) 🟢 Easy to charge, and the battery lasts a long time (about a week for me, but I never let it run out) 🟢 The eye protection is SO good, I have sensitive eyes and actually don’t notice the light at all ⚠️ Cons 🟡/🔴 The massage function was really not for me… it felt more like vibration, a bit like sitting in a car on a bumpy road with your head against the window 😅 If you’re a bit sensitive to such vibrations, it can be a bit uncomfortable (but this is probably individual!) 🟡 I often have a bit of a stuffy nose and hear my own breathing quite well when I use the mask, which I find a bit annoying, but I solve it by listening to music 🎧 🟡 Can get a bit clammy 🔴 It’s quite expensive, so this is definitely an investment I didn’t really notice much at first, but my skin looks smoother with fewer fine lines, and I’ve gotten a lot fewer underground pimples than I usually do. It’s a bit hard to get it into a habit at first, but it’s also one of those products that really needs to be used regularly (preferably every day) to give results, a bit like eyelash serum. Anti cakey formula
I love this foundation! I have dry skin and unfortunately, I stayed away from foundation for a long time because I felt it had a cakey finish. This one doesn’t. It contains hyaluronic acid which plumps the skin and gives a syyykt nice finish. It’s easy to build up, and the skin doesn’t feel suffocated. It’s light on the skin and easy to work with. Perfect for dry skin
Found my new favorite moisturizer! This fits perfectly into my skincare routine both morning and night. It also provides a lot of moisture and a lovely glow. The cream is a bit oilier than, for example, CeraVe's moisturizer (the jar). Sick good citrus scent and moisture
I've been using Biotherm's lotion lately, and I have to say that I'm really satisfied❣️ First of all, you get a lot of product, 400 ml is quite a bit! And it really feels like good value for the money. 💚 The lotion has a sick good citrus scent that smells incredibly fresh and delicious, and that's actually the best part of my whole experience 💚 It absorbs quickly into the skin, provides lots of moisture, and never leaves me sticky, which I really appreciate When it comes to negative sides, I actually have none. This is not a cream, but a slightly more runny lotion, so it depends on what kind of consistency you prefer. If you like light, moisturizing lotions that smell fresh, this is a great choice. Delicious and hydrating
This serum from Estée Lauder gives a really delicious, almost velvety feeling on the skin 💕 It applies softly without becoming sticky, and provides just the right amount of moisture. I find it very easy to spread, and the skin absorbs it quickly without any hassle. The packaging is also super nice and feels a bit luxurious to have on display. ✨ The downside is definitely the price, it is very high, and therefore the product falls more into the category of “nice to have”, not something you really need in your routine. If you are extra sensitive, you might also risk having a small reaction, even though the serum is generally quite gentle. Gentle on the skin, but not effective
I have used these self tan drops and would rate them three out of five stars. They are easy to use, and when you achieve the desired result, it looks very nice. Pros: ➕ easy to use and easy to implement in skincare routine ➕ fragrance-free and generally gentle on the skin ➕ gives a nice/sun-kissed color that lasts ➕ does not leave streaks Cons: ➖ it takes me a long time (multiple rounds) to achieve the desired result (I use 3-4 drops per round) ➖ to get quick results, I have to use more drops, like 6. My go-to self-tanner
I've been using this self-tanner quite a bit over the last month and it has done an incredibly good job! Due to a hectic everyday life with many tasks, there's little time to sunbathe and get a golden color. Therefore, this has been really nice to use, and it's quite effective. The cream is active as you can see in the one picture Pros: 🟢 lotion and easy to apply 🟢 doesn't absorb too slowly into the skin 🟢 gives a very even and nice color that lasts until I scrub it off properly 🟢 fades a bit on its own, without looking weird (except on the legs, see point below) Cons: ➖ has a subtle self-tanner scent. This doesn't bother me personally ➖ in areas with somewhat more visible pores, the self-tanner can look a bit odd when it fades. Fantastic 10/10
I love this scrub, it is 100% worth it. The scrub cleanses and melts nicely after the appropriate time, while it smells absolutely fantastic. I think it smells like what I associate with strawberry lemonade. 🍋🍓 You get a good amount, and I find that it is economical to use. When I use it, it doesn't feel sticky on the skin, other than feeling clean. I also smelled really good after using it. I think, for example, that the scrub from Rituals (sakura series) can feel a bit sticky after use, but I don't experience that with this one. I absolutely recommend it. Moisturizing, but not wow
This lip balm has worked fine because it is moisturizing and tastes good. It comes in a sweet jar and the design is nice. The moisture lasts a very long time, and it works great as a lip mask in the evenings. What I don't like about it is that it has a bit of a strange smell with different scents, and that makes it feel a bit distracting almost. 📉 It is a bit pricey, and I think you can find other alternatives that have the same properties and functions at a lower price.
