I’ve stopped getting my nails done at the salon just because it looks so nice with Depends Gel Iq. I’m so happy😍Translated from swedish

Side effects?
I think the product is really good and the whole idea behind it is fantastic. But I've gotten worse nails and cracks under the nails in the skin that are recurring. I wonder if anyone else has gotten these cracks from gel iq? Since I don't know yet where they come from, but I get new recurring cracks when I change the color after 14 days. The nails have also "rested" which can be seen in the pictures. Is there anyone else who has had these problems?!Translated from swedish

Keep it up! The nails have held up well
I ordered the set + a couple of nail polishes a bit hesitantly. Now that I've done two sets of nails, I can only recommend it. I wore the first nails for just over 3 weeks, and these current ones have been on for two weeks. Making nails goes nicely while watching a movie/show, and I no longer need to drag myself to the nail salon to stare at the walls and suffer through the passage of time.519 viewsto leave a comment - 1 weekverified customer
Tiptop!!
I love Depend Gel IQ. It is definitely a super good alternative if you don't want to spend money on salon nails every 3rd/4th week. I've had it on since September 2024, and my nails are so strong, and it lasts a long time. It takes a few tries to get the technique down, but once you learn it, it's so easy! ✨ A tip is to make sure not to apply the gel and color too close to the cuticles. There are good videos on TikTok about how to do it the best way that I recommend! I have also chosen to buy tools to prep the nails and notice that it helps a lot for it to last longer. 🙌🏼 At first, I wasn't very careful, and when the gel or color ended up outside the nail, they came off easier, and if you pull it off, it unfortunately damages the nail. Same as if you pull off salon nails. I have managed to grow my nails incredibly well, and it works great. If you have a good base, you can easily file down the nails and build on the existing ones! With more layers, it becomes harder and more stable. And if your real nail were to break, you can fix it with a piece of teabag!! 😍 So it is really worth buying, it is nice to sit and tinker with. In the picture are my real nails today, and it is about 3-4 weeks of growth without any lifting!🥰Translated from swedish

The nail polish?
Hello! Do you have to use Depends own nail polishes for this, or can you use any other nail polish and just use the top/base coat that comes with it?Translated from swedish

Question?
Can you use the products on loose nails?Translated from swedish
2 likes1371 views- Employees at Lyko2 weeksHey Ronja! ☺️👋🏻 Yes, it is possible to use Depend Gel iQ over acrylic nails to even out the growth. However, you should be careful, buff the acrylic lightly, and apply Gel iQ in thin layers for the best results. Keep in mind that Gel iQ is not soak-off, which means it can be difficult to remove without damaging the acrylic nail, so it is recommended to be careful during removal 🫧 Take care! 🩷

Better than expected
Really good actually! I didn't think it would be so easy to work with and get nice results. I've had it on for about 1 week now. Feels very stable and good. We'll see how long it lasts 🙈 #lykoreviewTranslated from swedish

Crap
This is so HIMLA bad. So tired of everyone saying it's good. I can never get it to look even, dirt always sticks from the brush and it's gone after a week. Now maybe people think I'm just bad, but I've had it for over a year and tried MASSIVE different techniques, it looks CONSTANTLY sloppy. However, it's easier to get it right with strong colors like red and orange, but if you want lighter, maybe pastel or more skin-colored, it's done.Translated from swedish
2157 views- Customer service at Lyko1 monthHey Alina! 👋 Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review of the set 🧡 It really seems like you tested it according to all the rules, so it's a shame that it didn't turn out to be a full score for you. Just like you said, there are many who think it works well, but sometimes it doesn't work so well for oneself, unfortunately. I hope you find something else that works better for you ✨

Can you use gel over acrylic?
Maybe a really dumb question, but I get acrylic nails done at the salon every three weeks, and towards the end, there’s obviously a growth that can be bothersome. I’ve been wondering if I could do gel iq over it to even out the nail that last week, but I’m unsure if that’s possible? I’m worried that gel iq will stick to the acrylic nail and won’t come off without damaging the acrylic nail.. do you know if this is possible?Translated from swedish
1778 views- Customer service at Lyko1 monthHey there Maja! 🥰 You can use Gel iQ over acrylic nails to even out the growth, but it requires caution, buff the acrylic lightly, apply Gel iQ in thin layers, and seal the edge. Gel iQ is not soak-off, so it can be difficult to remove without damaging the acrylic.. If you're worried about Gel iQ sticking too hard, you can try other fun alternatives 👇😍 A regular nail polish is easier to remove from acrylic and can temporarily hide the growth or add glitter or other decoration at the cuticles to disguise the growth and create a trendy look 💅 If you don't feel confident, talk to your nail technician. They can often help find a solution to hide the growth in a way that is gentle on your acrylic nails 🥰 Take care!2 likes

Before the last step, they are not finished.1 likes

Lovely everyday rescue
Gel polish is easy to do, and lasts really ok on my nails. I don't quite get 2 weeks, around 1.5 weeks the polish starts to lift at the edges. Despite this, it's an everyday rescue, and quick to do neat manicures. I recommend it if you love well-groomed nails!2419 viewsto leave a comment
