Luxurious and sweet
To start with, it’s a really nice bottle, feels luxurious. Wow, what a delicious perfume! 😍The first sniff feels fruity and vanilla without being sticky. When it settles, more depth comes out, and the vanilla becomes more prominent but still retains the fruity scent of melon. I like vanilla perfumes and slightly sweeter/fruity scents that aren’t too much "vanilla sugar" but have a bit more depth, so this suited me perfectly! Cozy and Embracing
#lykotestpilot #dolcegabbana The first thing that catches my interest is the packaging, where it says in English: Sicilian melon 🍈 Orange blossom 🍊 Vanilla milk 🍮 Yum! 😋 So wonderful to experience a gourmand scent! Such a scent smells like something you would want to eat or drink. That drink would be lovely! 🍹 And the bottle: vanilla-colored with a weight that is pure luxury. Plus the classic heart in gold relief. The scent is first sweet and fruity, like melon. 🍈 I also sense hints of a mild citrus, like satsumas. 🍊 Then follows the floral: neroli, orange blossom. Then the lovely deep undertone of vanilla, and also the soft and embracing milk note. All of it ends with a warm but ultra-minimal tone of smoked wood. When I choose a scent, I look for quality and uniqueness. This scent gives me both. I like that depending on my mood and occasion, I can easily regulate how intense the scent appears (the precise spray makes it super easy to dose). With Your Devotion – which is an eau de parfum intense – just a little bit is enough to smell just right and discreet. I imagine the scent lasts a long time. Rich and fresh
My first impression of the scent was heavy, almost a bit powdery women's perfume if you get that reference, but still fresh. After having the perfume on my skin for a few hours, I could sense a light sweet note. A bit of vanilla but really not a strong vanilla scent. Which I know many appreciate. It really grew on me the more I used it. Also how it developed as it sat on. Clothes still smell good the day after, and a small spray is enough to freshen up the scent on the skin again. I really like how the scent lasts a long time. Got many compliments when using it and also a cute little bottle. Would have been a perfect perfume to give as a gift for that luxurious feeling mixed in the notes. My new favorite!
I got the chance to test this perfume through Lyko's tespilot. When I first unpacked the perfume, I fell in love with the beautiful bottle with the iconic heart, and it feels so luxurious! The scent is a blend of warm and sweet notes with a good balance and fullness without being too heavy. Since I personally love perfumes with sweet, warm, and floral elements, this one suited me perfectly. The longevity on the skin is also very good, and after a whole day, I can still smell the fragrance. I've received so many compliments from people around me when I've worn it. The vanilla perfume that made me rethink🤍
I am usually very skeptical about gourmand and vanilla perfumes because they so often become too synthetic, heavy, or cloyingly sweet and give me headaches. But Devotion Intense changes everything! Already when holding the heavy, massive glass bottle with the fantastic golden heart (Sacred Heart), you can feel how incredibly luxurious it is. It’s like a little piece of art and looks like a dream on the perfume shelf! Top note: Nutty, warm hazelnut that gives an incredibly luxurious and enveloping feeling right upon spraying. Heart note: Radiant orange blossom that adds a soft freshness; it’s what makes the scent feel so alive and never too heavy. Base note: Warm, creamy, and deep Madagascar vanilla that feels genuine and absolutely magical on the skin. This is a so-called Floral Gourmand. The balance between the creamy vanilla and the wonderfully fresh orange blossom makes the scent luxurious, warm, sensual, and extremely addictive, while maintaining an incredibly sophisticated freshness. A very versatile scent! Works just as well as a luxurious everyday scent at work/school as for more festive occasions when you want to spread a soft and sensual aura around you. Rating 5/5. (Actually a strong 4.5 because I wished for a bit longer longevity on my skin, but the scent and the luxurious overall feeling are so fantastic that it still deserves full marks!) My best tips to maximize longevity and make the scent last all day/evening: 1. Moisturize your skin with an unscented body lotion or a bit of Vaseline on pulse points before spraying. 2. Spray a light cloud over your clothes or on your hairbrush before brushing your hair; both textiles and hair bind the scent notes significantly longer! My conclusion: An absolutely fantastic scent for those who want something luxurious, soft, warm, and sensual with hints of floral freshness. I’ve already received lots of compliments from both acquaintances and strangers, which is always the best proof that a scent really suits you! You simply feel incredibly beautiful and elegant wearing it. This perfume has completely changed my opinion about vanilla and gourmand scents! I have had the honor of receiving the newest perfume at home #dolcegabbanas. The perfume comes in a very elegant packaging that gives a luxurious impression. I was positively surprised by this perfume. It smells very good and I find it feminine and pleasant without being too strong. The scent is initially very fruity and quite strong🍈, then it develops into a warmer scent with vanilla notes that I love🍦 The perfume lasts a long time on the skin and especially on clothes, I could still smell it the next day. Sweet, feminine, and lasts all day 💫
I was actually really surprised by Dolce & Gabbana Devotion. I already had a favorite: Boss The Scent For Her, and honestly, I didn’t think any perfume could beat it. But Devotion did. ❤️ The first thing I fell for is actually the bottle. It’s so pretty and luxurious with the light color and the beautiful heart with the Dolce & Gabbana logo. It really feels like a perfume you want to have out on display. The scent is warm, sweet, and feminine. I mainly experience a soft and creamy sweetness with vanilla and citrus. It’s sweet and cozy without being too heavy – exactly the kind of scent I like. And the longevity is really a big plus! It lasts all day, and I can still smell it several hours after spraying. I’m quite picky when it comes to perfume and have long had Boss The Scent For Her as my favorite. That’s why I was extra surprised that Devotion actually managed to beat it. The result?
