I got to try Dolce Gabbana's new Your Devotion Eau de Parfum Intense and I love it! As a gourmand perfume lover, I really like how the scent develops. It starts fruity and fresh with melon and initially feels very feminine, almost a bit floral. When it settles, it becomes warmer and more sensual thanks to the vanilla. I also accidentally got perfume in my hair and could smell the scent several days afterwards, which really impressed me! Dolce & Gabbana Your Devotion is truly a dream in perfume form! I have long been searching for a fragrance that feels just right for me, a scent that can become my signature, and I believe I have finally found it. #lykotestpilot #dolcegabbana I have had the honor to test this product and then leave my honest review about it. I've now had it for about 2 weeks. This perfume has a nice bottle with beautiful decoration. The bottle is a bit on the heavier side, quality! The cap was easy to remove, but still stays where it should. I personally like the cap to be a bit more secure, as I often lift the cap and now I don't have to worry about the bottle coming loose. (That has happened before unfortunately with other perfumes, haha!) The mist that comes out is even and disperses very nicely. The spray pump itself is a bit on the harder/stiffer side, which I find quite good for getting a more controlled spray and better coverage. What I was looking forward to testing was exactly the combination of vanilla, orange, and melon. To get a fruity fresh vanilla simply. Vanilla perfumes are the ones I usually prefer, but sometimes I think they become a bit too "sweet/young." I've also had trouble finding a nicely fresh scent without it becoming too "floral"; on me, "floral" perfumes almost smell like an old-fashioned soap scent? Right after spraying, there was a slight powdery/fresh scent, but after a few seconds, it became like an embrace of warm mature vanilla! Nice, fresh, lively scent that then becomes a bit heavier together with the vanilla. Wow! Sophisticated sensual perfume, that's probably how I would describe this scent! This one has definitely made it to my top list! It smells strong and intense at first but fades after a while. However, I know I have skin that kind of soaks up perfumes? So it rarely lasts that long unfortunately. This one didn't last the "whole workday" either. But it still ranks among those that have lasted "longer" periods. But because of the price, which is a bit steep, I probably expected a bit more stability and longevity. Hence 1 star off. But otherwise, this product is spot on when it comes to scent, packaging, bottle, spray mist, etc.! Such a scent smells like something you would want to eat or drink. That drink would be lovely! 🍹 And the bottle: vanilla-colored with a weight that is pure luxury. Plus the classic heart in gold relief. The scent is first sweet and fruity, like melon. 🍈 I also sense hints of a mild citrus, like satsumas. 🍊 Then follows the floral: neroli, orange blossom. Then the lovely deep undertone of vanilla, and also the soft and embracing milk note. All of it ends with a warm but ultra-minimal tone of smoked wood. When I choose a scent, I look for quality and uniqueness. This scent gives me both. I like that depending on my mood and occasion, I can easily regulate how intense the scent appears (the precise spray makes it super easy to dose). With Your Devotion – which is an eau de parfum intense – just a little bit is enough to smell just right and discreet. I imagine the scent lasts a long time. Rich and fresh
My first impression of the scent was heavy, almost a bit powdery women's perfume if you get that reference, but still fresh. After having the perfume on my skin for a few hours, I could sense a light sweet note. A bit of vanilla but really not a strong vanilla scent. Which I know many appreciate. It really grew on me the more I used it. Also how it developed as it sat on. Clothes still smell good the day after, and a small spray is enough to freshen up the scent on the skin again. I really like how the scent lasts a long time. Got many compliments when using it and also a cute little bottle. Would have been a perfect perfume to give as a gift for that luxurious feeling mixed in the notes. I am usually very skeptical about gourmand and vanilla perfumes because they so often become too synthetic, heavy, or cloyingly sweet and give me headaches. But Devotion Intense changes everything! Already when holding the heavy, massive glass bottle with the fantastic golden heart (Sacred Heart), you can feel how incredibly luxurious it is. It’s like a little piece of art and looks like a dream on the perfume shelf! Top note: Nutty, warm hazelnut that gives an incredibly luxurious and enveloping feeling right upon spraying. Heart note: Radiant orange blossom that adds a soft freshness; it’s what makes the scent feel so alive and never too heavy. Base note: Warm, creamy, and deep Madagascar vanilla that feels genuine and absolutely magical on the skin. This is a so-called Floral Gourmand. The balance between the creamy vanilla and the wonderfully fresh orange blossom makes the scent luxurious, warm, sensual, and extremely addictive, while maintaining an incredibly sophisticated freshness. A very versatile scent! Works just as well as a luxurious everyday scent at work/school as for more festive occasions when you want to spread a soft and sensual aura around you. Rating 5/5. (Actually a strong 4.5 because I wished for a bit longer longevity on my skin, but the scent and the luxurious overall feeling are so fantastic that it still deserves full marks!) My best tips to maximize longevity and make the scent last all day/evening: 1. Moisturize your skin with an unscented body lotion or a bit of Vaseline on pulse points before spraying. 2. Spray a light cloud over your clothes or on your hairbrush before brushing your hair; both textiles and hair bind the scent notes significantly longer!
