Really good
The hair feels really soft and smooth after use. The scalp feels healthy. The scent is really mild, herbal, and lemony for an asthmatic's nose. In other scalp oils I've tried, the scent has been very strong. The oil is really light, which is a good thing. ONE downside, which doesn't relate to the product at all, is that I haven't seen any instructions for washing the oil out🤔 When I used this for the very first time, I couldn't wash it out properly. The hair and scalp were still partially covered by the oil in question. However, I looked online for tips on how to wash out scalp oil, so I thought I would share them here as well😁 1. Once the oil has worked, before going into the shower and wetting the scalp and hair, apply shampoo directly onto the oil. 2. In the shower, I use pretty hot water and a deep cleansing shampoo. At this point, I don't wet my hair completely yet, but I take water in my hands and start to massage my scalp. The shampoo you applied before going into the shower should start to foam a little. Then you just lather the shampoo as usual and rinse it out. 3. Another round of shampoo, and this time also apply shampoo to the lengths and ends so that they are also cleaned properly from the oil. 4. If the oil still feels a bit in the scalp or hair after two rounds of shampoo, then I apply shampoo one more time (not deep cleansing). 5. Hair falling out..?
Is it normal for hair to specifically fall out from the head with this oil? I bought it after reading so many good reviews, and today I tried it for the first time; I managed to keep it on for about 2-3 hours when I noticed that there was a terrible clump of hair on my shirt. I grabbed the hair hanging from my ponytail, and when I pulled, another bunch stayed in my hand. I tried to 'pull' the hair growing near my ear gently, and from both sides, a few hairs stayed in my hand. I quickly washed the oil off, and in the shower, I lost another big clump of hair.. During the 'effect' of this oil and while washing, I lost the same amount of hair that I usually lose in about a week. Could this be some kind of first-time 'shock' for the hair from a new product, or is this the opposite effect of what was promised? I love this oil. I use it 1-2 times a week before washing. I also apply a bonding product to the ends. I think it smells lovely, but someone with a fragrance allergy might also get irritated. I haven't noticed any effect on hair growth or hair loss, but the condition of my hair and scalp has clearly improved. It’s quite common for the oil to freeze at lower temperatures, as the jojoba oil in the product reacts to the cold and starts to solidify already at temperatures below six degrees Celsius.
