The last #lykoinflutester assignment of the year is this series from L'oréal, and here are my thoughts on the mask, first a bit of info about my hair: • My scalp gets oily quickly, but the lengths are a bit dry. • Thin and lacks volume. • Losing quite a bit of hair. • I dye my hair at home, about every 6 weeks. • Hard municipal water. I initially found it a bit confusing that you shouldn't use any conditioner but this mask instead. From what I understand, this mask is a bit more effective than a regular conditioner and is probably needed since the feeling after shampooing is a bit detox-like (even though the shampoo isn't a pure detox shampoo). About the product: • Jar with a screw lid, not my favorite packaging in the shower. • Creamy, thick, and "cozy" consistency. Feels like a hug for the hair! • The scent is a minus for me. This citrus/lavender/"hay" thing is a real divider - you either love or hate the scent. • Short application time - big plus! However, better effect with longer application time. • Feels gentle but effective! • A little goes a long way. I accidentally (as usual) took way too much the first time, but then I noticed my hair felt heavy. The result: • Leaves hair soft and manageable. • With the right dosage, it doesn't weigh my hair down. • Leaves a nice shine, smooth, and no frizz. • As I mentioned about the shampoo, my hair gets oily faster, but I think that's due to the shampoo, not the mask, since I only have it in the lengths. Works well, but smells strong!
I have thin Nordic hair that is a bit bleached at the ends. Before I started testing the Metal DX series from L’Oréal Professional, my hair was dry and frizzy. It needed both moisture and shine. The hair mask comes in a classic jar that looks nice. It is economical in use and easily settles in the hair. If you have thin hair like me, I recommend being careful with the amount of product and ensuring it is thoroughly rinsed out. The product is so liquid that I personally would have preferred it to be in a bottle, as that would have made adjusting the amount during application easier. As mentioned in the title, the mask works very well for my hair type. I found that it became shinier and healthier. But.. and this is a big BUT, the entire Metal DX series smells, according to my partner and several of my friends' feedback, veeeery strong!! I simply had to give up testing after a week and a half, as I felt like I was walking around smelling like a men's wardrobe. The series smells very similar to Axe body spray for men, not a scent I personally prefer to be associated with. (I received several comments on this, without anyone knowing I had these products in.) So despite good results on my hair, I can only give it two stars, as the smell became way too intense. #Lykoinflutester #LorealPro

Metal DX Hair Mask
I have been using the Metal DX hair care line from L’Oréal for the last month. This mask is supposed to provide moisture to dry hair, prevent hair breakage, and preserve color. I have long, dry, and colored hair, so this mask is perfect for me! It should be used after shampoo, preferably on towel-dried hair. Let it sit for about 1 minute and rinse out. I think it’s a big plus that it works so quickly - then it gets used more often 😊 The hair becomes immediately very soft and nice, and I think it looks like the color stays nice longer! The mask heals hair and smells like a man 😁
I use this mask to give nourishment and strength to my hair. They are porous, require care and attention, I dye them blonde. After shampoo, I need a mask or conditioner to make my hair soft and manageable. I use the mask on damp hair. I let it sit on my hair for 3-5 minutes and rinse it out, style my hair, do not use a straightener. The hair becomes soft and smooth. Smooth and shiny. Just a warning for people who are sensitive to scents. The scent lingers in the hair for quite a while. It is strong and reminiscent of a masculine scent. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #LOrealPRO

My hair: I have thin, fine Nordic hair. Dark brown with some sun bleaching. I've never used any hair treatment or similar. My hair routine before I started with this set was shampoo x2, and conditioner. I did this 1-2 times a week. The first impression of this was that it had almost the same scent as the shampoo, but a bit worse. I experienced a bit of stinging on my skin the first time I used this, but it wasn't a problem that persisted (I made sure not to hit my ears, for example). The morning after I used this for the first time, I felt that my hair felt unusually greasy compared to normal. However, once my hair got used to this, it didn't feel as greasy anymore. Out of all of them, this was probably the one I liked the least, simply because it smelled a bit worse than the others, and I found it very impractical to have it in a jar. A pump or bottle would have been much more practical. Overall assessment of the series: I forgot to take before and after pictures of my hair, but that was simply because I didn't expect any big difference. But OMG, I never thought my hair could become as healthy and beautiful as it has! The picture marked «1» was taken after the first use, the picture marked «2» was taken after 1 month of continuous use! My conclusion with this series is that my hair has much less frizz, noticeably less breakage, and more healthy weight. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #LOREALPRO

Sharp citrus scent that isn't so pleasant🤔
I have tested the #LOREALPRO Metal DX Professional Mask for a month and I'm a bit torn about what I think of this mask. My hair is long, quite damaged at the ends, and has a lot of fine but thin strands. And I'm also not completely sold on the scent! 🤔 I probably prefer a deeper, maybe more floral scent in my hair products, and this line smells citrusy. But this hair mask gives more of a bathroom-cleaning scent 😢, but if you like citrus, I think you might appreciate this scent, so this is a very personal opinion. So it really brings down my rating. My hair when I started this line became very static the first 2 weeks. And I didn't think the hair mask solved that at all. This went away after about 2 weeks, and I haven't had static hair since. What I do like about the hair mask is: 🤩 lovely consistency 🤩 should be in the hair for 1 minute 🤩 hair feels CLEAN in combination with the shampoo The last point I would say is what I feel is the biggest difference in the hair, it really feels clean after using it in combination with the shampoo. Otherwise, my hair usually feels more coarse, but now it feels almost like the hair is thinner and smoother. And that's probably also a reason why I'm not completely sold on the product 😅 I probably like it when my thin hair has a “layer” so it feels bigger and protected. Now it really feels clean but thin ☺️ The pictures show after the first time I used the Metal DX Professional series, and now after a month of use. 😍 I give this product 3/5, neither good nor bad, but I think I would appreciate a hair mask that smells more to my taste. #LYKOINFLUTESTER

Works well, but has a terrible smell
As a #lykoinflutester, I have now been testing a series consisting of four products from #lorealpro's Metal Dx series for three weeks. I have thick, straight, long, and natural hair. I usually use hair products that I have been recommended here in Lyko's hair test and wash my hair every other day. But it's always exciting to try new products😊 The first thing I react to with this hair mask is that it comes in a jar with a screw lid. I find it so impractical to have to dig into a jar to get the product out. Also, it's a hassle when you're standing there in the shower trying to screw the lid back on. The consistency of the mask is nice. It spreads well in the hair and doesn't smell too bad before it's distributed in the hair. But once it's distributed in the hair, an incredibly unpleasant smell comes out that mostly reminds me of a home perm. I don't know if this smell comes from a chemical reaction. Very unpleasant, anyway! Fortunately, this smell goes away with the mask, but again, there's a strong manly smell that lasts until the next hair wash. I feel like my hair benefits from this mask; it looks very nice and smooth and feels soft and good. But it still can't overcome the strong manly smell that neither I nor my husband can stand me smelling like.

Makes a Difference
Now I have tested the entire metal dx series from L’Oréal. This series works really well for my hair. I have bleached lengths and usually use a lot of heat tools. Therefore, I need something that provides good care and at the same time doesn't weigh my hair down. The treatment has a creamy and light consistency that makes it easy to distribute. I can really work it well into my hair. I love that it has a short application time. It only needs to be in the hair for 1 min. So it really doesn't take longer than using conditioner. This means there's a much greater chance that you'll use it more often. At the same time, while it deeply nourishes, it protects the color and adds a lot of shine. Maybe what I like best about the treatment is that my hair doesn't feel heavy! I often feel that my hair gets greasy and heavy faster with other types of treatments. Moisturizes and protects
I had the opportunity to test this hair mask, and I have tested it along with the other products in the same series from Loreal Pro I have used the hair mask after shampooing, and I let it sit for about 1 minute. This is absolutely sufficient for this product! The mask provides a lot of moisture, and I feel that it fits very well with my hair, which is wavy/curly and needs a little extra moisture to avoid becoming frizzy. ✨ The scent is also amazing, a lovely luxurious citrus scent that just gets better and better throughout the day The only thing that might bring the product down a bit is that I can experience that it makes my hair a little heavier than I would like, but it is really marginal. As a #lykoinflutester, I got to test the #lorealpro metal DX series. When testing a whole series, it might be a bit difficult to separate which results come from a specific product, but I will try to provide product-specific opinions as well, even though the combination of the entire series itself was worth its weight in gold. About my hair: thick, frizzy, dry in the lengths but gets greasy quickly at the roots. Bleached underneath and then colorful colors on top. I have slightly wavy/curly hair, but unfortunately, bleaching ruins them to my great sorrow! What do I like about the product? The jar is sleek but just a regular jar with a screw cap, so nothing super special there. The product itself has a good consistency, is easy to pick up with fingers, and stays in the hand without running away. The product is easy to work into the hair and easy to rinse out again. The colors I use are quite wash-sensitive, but I actually find that the color holds up well with this series of both the shampoo and the hair mask. I also think that my hair feels thicker after some time of use and that I don't lose as much hair now, hard to say which product does it or if it's all products in combination. I think it gives a nice shine after use and the hair is easy to detangle with a brush afterwards. This time, the products went through a real fire test! The before pictures are before washing, then comes directly after washing, and finally (are you ready now?!) the last picture after 4 hours of driving, 3 hours of hanging at the airport, a full day walk in London's lovely bad weather! The energy was in the minus after 32,000 steps and 30 hours awake, but the hair was on point! 🔥🔥🔥. I am also a real citrus person, I simply love it, and the fantastic citrus scent lingered even after the treatment, wow I just say! It lies in the slightly higher price category but sooooo worth it in my opinion, this hair mask will definitely continue to be used!
