✨ First impression Simple and sleek design, maybe a bit boring. I tried this heat protectant a couple of years ago and didn't like the scent at all, but now it has really made a great upgrade 👌🏻 🧡 About my hair and my preferences I have dry, thick, and curly hair that easily gets frizzy. I have a dry, sensitive scalp that can get itchy eczema when using too strong products. I always use heat protection! 🏵️ My thoughts and experiences I like the spray function, I find it easy to distribute it evenly in my hair. I also notice that it absorbs well and quickly. I actually think it smells really good now, very fresh and a bit luxurious 👌🏻 Very good quality, worked excellently in both wet and dry hair! As #lykoinflutester I got to try this heat protectant from #ghd and now you’re going to read my review! 🤗 I had high expectations for this since #ghd generally has high-quality products, but unfortunately, I don’t think the heat protectant lives up to the mark. It’s a handy and nice bottle with a good spray nozzle that makes it apply evenly over the hair, but you really need to know where you have the product, because if you accidentally take more layers, I find it becomes very stiff in those spots, like patches. And when I curl my hair with a flat iron, it feels like a “chop” in those areas, which I haven’t experienced with other heat protectants. The scent is magical, you should know that! 🤤 And that’s positive, but for this price, it’s still not worth it since I use heat protectants that are significantly cheaper. So nice heat protectant
This heat protectant from GHD is really my go-to that I often buy again as soon as it runs out. I love the scent that feels luxurious. I find it easy to distribute and I have never experienced any residue on my hair after using it! The only problem I've had with this is that after a while it can "clog" again in the applicator, but it has been easy to remedy with a cotton swab. Very nice mist that gives a nice distribution in the hair, like a cloud with heat protection. And!! I really liked the scent, you know that feeling when you leave the hairdresser and your hair smells "hairdresser.." I get that feeling from the scent!😍 It both feels and smells luxurious! It does feel a bit in the hair, but not so much that the hair feels sticky in any way. So for me, who isn't particularly sensitive, it didn't bother me. One downside is the price unfortunately.. in my opinion, I wish for something a bit more extra if that price tag is to be worth it. So it unfortunately brings the rating down a bit. Even mist and good scent!
I have used a lot of different heat protection sprays over the past years, and I really liked this one! I have always had long hair that quickly becomes dry at the ends, so I am very focused on the spray protecting my hair as well as possible when using heat. This spray is like a light mist and distributes evenly in the hair without weighing it down. See video for illustration. The scent is very strong
I was really happy to get to try this heat protectant from #ghd as #lykoinflutester! 💟 I had previously tried it at the salon and had high expectations since I thought it worked so well there. Therefore, I was extra excited to have it at home myself, but unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. Positive: - easy to spray evenly over the hair - good spray - makes the hair manageable during use - helps the hair during styling with a flat iron - handy and nice bottle Negative: - the scent is very strong, not at all like at the salon, so not recommended for those who are scent-sensitive!!! - the hair felt greasy very quickly - the ends felt very dry after use - the price is quite high - takes time to dry if used on dry hair! I got to test some products from GHD thanks to #lykoinflutester. The one I got to test is their heat protection. At first, I was skeptical since I only buy heat protection with a dry formula these days (like dry shampoo). This is because I hate waiting for my hair to dry after spraying the product. BUT this heat protection absorbed into my hair immediately and dried in about a minute, and I took A LOT (my hair got completely wet!). That really gives the product a big plus! Then I also noticed that it has a scent that makes my hair smell freshly washed, and it lasted all day! Several people said I smelled good in my hair thanks to it! How well it protects against heat is hard to say without special tools, but what I've noticed is that it's neither worse nor better than any other heat protection I've used. About me: • Dry hair • Thin hair • Flat hair Pros: + Smells good + Protects hair + Doesn’t feel like there’s any residue on the hair after about an hour + Dries quickly Cons: - “wet” formula - Noticed that it started to smell burnt after I used a “heat tool,” but not with a flat iron or similar.. In summary, I don’t know if I would buy this again. It works really well as a hair perfume, so in that regard, it’s very good. But there are cheaper protections that are just as good (I think? God, but expensive
I have tested ghd Bodyguard - Heat Protect Spray For All Hair Types, and I must say that it really lives up to its name when it comes to protecting hair. It lays down like a light and invisible layer that protects well against heat from both straighteners, curling irons, and hair dryers. I notice a big difference between this and previous heat protectants I have tested, it seems like it actually does the job it is meant to do. It also doesn’t get sticky or form a «film» even if you use a significant amount of product on both wet and dry hair. Hair feels less dry after styling, and I get fewer split ends than before. The scent is mild, clean, and pleasant – just right. I think a heat protectant should have other focus areas than a strong scent, which I feel many others have. It pairs well with the ghd Gold straightener, hair becomes smooth, shiny, and gets a shine that looks like a salon finish. The only downside is that the bottle doesn’t last very long. You need quite a bit of spray to cover all the hair properly, and then it runs out quickly. The volume feels a bit small compared to the price, so it’s probably in the more expensive and less economical range. The product has a nice scent and a pleasant spray. My hair has reacted so wonderfully to this heat protection - we’re talking both with dry hair and also when the hair is a bit damp after a shower 👏🏼 I recommend spraying from the tips up to the top of the head, and it’s good to section the hair for the ultimate protection! This heat protector comes in a nice spray bottle that gives a thicker mist and is therefore easy to use. It covers the hair easily and quite evenly. The scent of this is absolutely amazing, it’s not too sweet or too strong. It makes the hair feel clean and gives it that little extra. The product isn’t felt in the hair at all after styling once the job of protecting it is done. Which is a big plus!! The only thing that brings it down a bit is that due to the spray giving so much product, it’s easy to use too much and soak the hair really wet which means you have to wait a bit before you can style it.
