Difficult to assess the effect after only 4 weeks of use..
I received this exciting hair product for testing as #LYKOINFLUTESTER. This is a strengthening serum from Kérastase that, according to the product description, is supposed to prevent hair loss due to hair breaking. The serum has ingredients that are supposed to make the hair more resilient and minimize hair loss. The serum is supposed to strengthen and care for the naturally protective barrier in the scalp. The serum should be used once daily in the morning or before bedtime. You can apply up to 4 doses to a dry or towel-dried scalp, section by section. 1 dose = 1 pipette to the mark. The serum should be lightly massaged in and not rinsed out. I was super excited to test this serum since after three pregnancies (six years since the last) I have gotten thinning around the hairline on my forehead. Here, the hair grows extremely poorly, and the little that grows gets a maximum of 6 cm long. Exciting to see if this serum could help. I also generally have hair that never gets as long as I want because it breaks and splits easily. I otherwise have medium-length, Nordic, fine hair with slightly bleached ends - otherwise untreated. I’m starting to go gray (I’m 43 years old). These are my thoughts on the product after 3.5 weeks of use: ✅ Lovely container that looks good on the bathroom shelf ✅ Good pipette that makes application easy, doesn’t drip. ✅ The product doesn’t feel sticky on the hands afterwards (even though you should of course wash it off) ✅ The hair doesn’t feel greasy at all when used (I’ve used it in the evening) 🚨 Quite okay scent (but relatively strong). Smells a bit masculine ❌ The bottle is not very economical in use and the price is quite high. I applied 4 doses each time and used up the product in 4 weeks. ❌ No visible results after four weeks. As an influencer, I had the honor of testing this product. The packaging: In glass that feels sleek and luxurious with a smart pipette. So pretty with the ombre colors too. The consistency is gel-like and wonderfully cooling. Good consistency as it doesn't run out so easily 👌. It smells so good, both orange/citrus and a bit of woody undertone yum. Very fresh scent. I feel that the scent settles after a while, which I think is good since I have worked in healthcare. Smells mild but not too strong after a few hours. The pipette has a good clear marking for how much to take and is easy to handle 👌. When I apply the serum, I feel fresh. But my hair gets greasy, and I find it stiff/chunky after it dries. I don't like that it gives me such a greasy impression, something I really work to avoid. Even the next day, I find my hair greasier and with a strange slightly stiffer feeling in my hair. Which I don't like. I've been using it for a while now and notice no significant difference in my hair at all. I assume you need to use it longer. But I'm most irritated that my hair feels so greasy after a while within 1 hour of application for me unfortunately. So I think it's a ridiculously expensive product to give me greasier hair and no difference in hair quality, but I assume you need to use it for more than 2 weeks. I'm not that impressed yet, but I get to test it a bit longer to see if it gets better going forward. But I don't like the feeling in my hair after it has been a while. I have used the product for about 3.5 weeks, and it’s a bit hard to say whether it has made my hair grow in such a short time. However, I can say that I experience losing much less hair when I, for example, wash or style my hair than I did before I started using the product. It also smells really good, which is a plus. I would definitely recommend that you try the product if you are interested, but go in with the mindset that you might not see results super quickly. The downsides are that it is expensive, and not particularly long-lasting. I also find that it makes my hair greasy, even though it says it shouldn’t. I use it in the evenings and still feel that my hair feels oily when I wake up the next morning, so I either need to use dry shampoo or blow-dry my hair so it "dries". Mixed feelings
I got the opportunity to test the keratesé hair serum for hair loss. Recently, I've been losing a lot of hair, especially while showering, and wanted to see if this could help, which I still feel it has, in just four weeks I noticed a big difference in the amount of hair that fell out in the shower, it has almost halved, though it's too short a time to notice any difference in the thickness of the hair, I think. ✅️ nice packaging ✅️ lovely consistency, not oily, and easy to massage in ✅️ reduced the amount of hair loss already in the first week ❌️ the bottle recommends a 6-week treatment, unfortunately the bottle barely lasted 4 weeks ❌️ the applicator pipette doesn't reach all the way down in the bottle, making it hard to get the last bit out ❌️ a bit on the pricier side ❌️ has a slight scent that smells a bit "medicinal" but mostly fades after everything has dried. It will be interesting to see what happens after not using it for a few weeks, but I would probably say that I think it's worth trying another treatment round. Good but expensive!
I am overall positively surprised. After a few weeks of use, I find that I am losing less hair, both in the shower and when I brush my hair. I also think that my scalp feels healthier and more balanced. My hair looks somewhat thicker. However, I have noticed that my hair gets oily faster after application, which is a bit annoying. The product is also quite not very economical, and the price feels a bit steep. Despite that, I think the results are good enough for me to consider continuing to use it. The pipette brings down the rating
I've only used it for about 2 weeks, but so far I still notice a slight reduction in hair loss. The scent is strong, like a men's deodorant. I have severe migraines, but the scent hasn't triggered them. I have a sensitive dry scalp, and I notice no problems or irritation. I think it alleviates the dryness. I also don't experience my hair getting greasy from the serum. Heavy and luxurious glass bottle, but the content matters. Something I find incredibly negative is the pipette. It doesn't matter how much I draw from the pipette into the bottle or section my hair, it drips, and a lot of serum comes out up to 2-3 cm from the scalp. I understand that the serum runs out quickly when half of it doesn't end up where it should. I would have preferred a long neck on the applicator, like The Ordinary Glycolic Acid. I think this would work better to get it into the scalp. Luxurious serum!
I thought the product was really good! The serum felt light on the scalp and absorbed quickly without making the hair greasy. After a few uses, I noticed that my hair felt stronger and less prone to falling out. The scent is fresh and luxurious, and the bottle feels very high quality. I have been using the serum for about four weeks now and I really think it has made a difference for my hair. From the beginning, I was a bit skeptical since many products promise a lot, but already after a few weeks I noticed that I was losing less hair and that my scalp felt calmer. The serum is easy to apply, the gel-like consistency means it doesn't run, and it absorbs quickly without making the hair greasy. Pretty okay
I see a difference, so it's starting to grow at the hairline, but at the same time it's so expensive that I won't be buying this product again. The hair that is growing back is like baby hair in the places where I have applied it. I've been using the product about every other day for 3-4 weeks. I haven't noticed any greater effect yet, except that I feel like I'm losing less hair than before. Works but not for this price
The product works, I didn't see extremely much new growth, but I definitely lost less hair. Both generally and in the shower. Way too expensive for what it does, so I won't be buying again until it's on sale.751 views
