Difficult to assess the effect after only 4 weeks of use..
I received this exciting hair product for testing as #LYKOINFLUTESTER. This is a strengthening serum from Kérastase that, according to the product description, is supposed to prevent hair loss due to hair breaking. The serum has ingredients that are supposed to make the hair more resilient and minimize hair loss. The serum is supposed to strengthen and care for the naturally protective barrier in the scalp. The serum should be used once daily in the morning or before bedtime. You can apply up to 4 doses to a dry or towel-dried scalp, section by section. 1 dose = 1 pipette to the mark. The serum should be lightly massaged in and not rinsed out. I was super excited to test this serum since after three pregnancies (six years since the last) I have gotten thinning around the hairline on my forehead. Here, the hair grows extremely poorly, and the little that grows gets a maximum of 6 cm long. Exciting to see if this serum could help. I also generally have hair that never gets as long as I want because it breaks and splits easily. I otherwise have medium-length, Nordic, fine hair with slightly bleached ends - otherwise untreated. I’m starting to go gray (I’m 43 years old). These are my thoughts on the product after 3.5 weeks of use: ✅ Lovely container that looks good on the bathroom shelf ✅ Good pipette that makes application easy, doesn’t drip. ✅ The product doesn’t feel sticky on the hands afterwards (even though you should of course wash it off) ✅ The hair doesn’t feel greasy at all when used (I’ve used it in the evening) 🚨 Quite okay scent (but relatively strong). Smells a bit masculine ❌ The bottle is not very economical in use and the price is quite high. I applied 4 doses each time and used up the product in 4 weeks. ❌ No visible results after four weeks. Maybe you need to use it longer to see results (but now the bottle is empty…) I find it difficult to properly assess this product since I feel it should be used over a longer time frame to see any potential results. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #KERASTASE

  Hey I have used it for 2 months and can only say like you it does not work for hair loss it smells very strong but I absolutely would not recommend it to others it only makes the hair stiff and greasy I have used it for 2 months think the product is a bit expensive compared to the fact that it does not have the function that is described to reduce HAIR LOSS It has not helped my hair!

As an influencer, I had the honor of testing this product. The packaging: In glass that feels sleek and luxurious with a smart pipette. So pretty with the ombre colors too. The consistency is gel-like and wonderfully cooling. Good consistency as it doesn't run out so easily 👌. It smells so good, both orange/citrus and a bit of woody undertone yum. Very fresh scent. I feel that the scent settles after a while, which I think is good since I have worked in healthcare. Smells mild but not too strong after a few hours. The pipette has a good clear marking for how much to take and is easy to handle 👌. When I apply the serum, I feel fresh. But my hair gets greasy, and I find it stiff/chunky after it dries. I don't like that it gives me such a greasy impression, something I really work to avoid. Even the next day, I find my hair greasier and with a strange slightly stiffer feeling in my hair. Which I don't like. I've been using it for a while now and notice no significant difference in my hair at all. I assume you need to use it longer. But I'm most irritated that my hair feels so greasy after a while within 1 hour of application for me unfortunately. So I think it's a ridiculously expensive product to give me greasier hair and no difference in hair quality, but I assume you need to use it for more than 2 weeks. I'm not that impressed yet, but I get to test it a bit longer to see if it gets better going forward. But I don't like the feeling in my hair after it has been a while. In the beginning, it feels super fresh and good, which then turns into a greasy strange feeling in the hair🙈. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #KERASTASE

No noticeable difference in hair loss
I've used this against hair loss every evening for about eight weeks and feel that the effect on the actual hair loss has been relatively limited. I haven't seen any clear reduction in hair loss or noticeable improvement in hair density during this period. However, the product is very easy to use. The consistency is light, absorbs quickly into the scalp, and feels neither sticky nor greasy. It works well as part of the evening routine and does not irritate the skin. In summary, it is a well-formulated and pleasant serum, but for me, it has not lived up to expectations when it comes to actually counteracting hair loss. I suspect that one should try several treatments in succession for the best possible results. I am participating in a test panel and received a free test product.

Kérastase scalp serum feels luxurious right from the application and has a fresh, mild scent. The consistency is light and absorbs quickly without making the scalp greasy or heavy, which I appreciate. The serum is easy to apply thanks to the dropper and feels cooling and pleasant on the scalp. After use, I feel that my scalp feels more hydrated and balanced. The hair at the roots feels fresh without being weighed down. The product feels economical and works well as a complement in a caring hair care routine, especially for dry or sensitive scalps. However, during these weeks, I haven't noticed any significant difference in my hair, hair loss, or anything like that. Maybe with even longer use? I am participating in a test panel and received a free test product.

Hi, the usage instructions on the product say to apply 4 doses/application while LYKOs description of the product says “UP TO 4 doses”. What applies? I don’t want to apply too little and risk not getting any effect.

  Hey Lotta! Great question, and it’s individual. The most important thing is to cover the entire scalp in small sections and massage the serum in. For most, 4 doses are perfect, but if you have a thinner scalp, 3 may be enough.👍🏻

Like the scent
So I like the scent of it, many say that it’s a bit masculine but I like it. Have used it for maybe half a year? But I haven’t noticed anything special about it? Can’t say that I’ve used it frequently, and with my hand on my heart, not exactly every day BUT I have used it fairly frequently for it to make a difference, I think, it’s lovely on the scalp and as I said smells good but as I said nothing I think has done much against my hair loss.

Nothing happens.
I love Kérastase and have been using their products for 30-35 years. Both at work and privately, I have tested almost all of their products. With this serum, nothing happens! It has no effect on either hair strength or hair loss. A disappointment since Kérastase otherwise maintains absolutely the highest quality.

Good, but expensive!
This product has saved my poor hair BUT it runs out so fast 😭 I take 2 pipettes every other-third day. I don't know if I can justify buying one a month, but at the same time, I have gotten back hair that had fallen out.. The scent is incredible in my opinion. Quite strong, but fresh. I really like it. But my husband said "*sniff sniff*, what is that smell? Have you been with another man or?😂", so I don't know if that's such a good sign from him 😂 I made a little video on how I apply it. Be nice, I'm not used to filming myself like this, but I still wanted to show how I use it 🤭

I've seen that many have talked a lot about this on social media, was a bit skeptical but wow! I see and feel such a difference in my hair! A big plus is that it smells freshly washed and clean and doesn't leave the hair greasy. The only thing I could wish for is the price, it doesn't last that long for the price. But absolutely nothing to complain about.
