Difficult to assess the effect after only 4 weeks of use..
I received this exciting hair product for testing as #LYKOINFLUTESTER. This is a strengthening serum from Kérastase that, according to the product description, is supposed to prevent hair loss due to hair breaking. The serum has ingredients that are supposed to make the hair more resilient and minimize hair loss. The serum is supposed to strengthen and care for the naturally protective barrier in the scalp. The serum should be used once daily in the morning or before bedtime. You can apply up to 4 doses to a dry or towel-dried scalp, section by section. 1 dose = 1 pipette to the mark. The serum should be lightly massaged in and not rinsed out. I was super excited to test this serum since after three pregnancies (six years since the last) I have gotten thinning around the hairline on my forehead. Here, the hair grows extremely poorly, and the little that grows gets a maximum of 6 cm long. Exciting to see if this serum could help. I also generally have hair that never gets as long as I want because it breaks and splits easily. I otherwise have medium-length, Nordic, fine hair with slightly bleached ends - otherwise untreated. I’m starting to go gray (I’m 43 years old). These are my thoughts on the product after 3.5 weeks of use: ✅ Lovely container that looks good on the bathroom shelf ✅ Good pipette that makes application easy, doesn’t drip. ✅ The product doesn’t feel sticky on the hands afterwards (even though you should of course wash it off) ✅ The hair doesn’t feel greasy at all when used (I’ve used it in the evening) 🚨 Quite okay scent (but relatively strong). Smells a bit masculine ❌ The bottle is not very economical in use and the price is quite high. I applied 4 doses each time and used up the product in 4 weeks. ❌ No visible results after four weeks. As an influencer, I had the honor of testing this product. The packaging: In glass that feels sleek and luxurious with a smart pipette. So pretty with the ombre colors too. The consistency is gel-like and wonderfully cooling. Good consistency as it doesn't run out so easily 👌. It smells so good, both orange/citrus and a bit of woody undertone yum. Very fresh scent. I feel that the scent settles after a while, which I think is good since I have worked in healthcare. Smells mild but not too strong after a few hours. The pipette has a good clear marking for how much to take and is easy to handle 👌. When I apply the serum, I feel fresh. But my hair gets greasy, and I find it stiff/chunky after it dries. I don't like that it gives me such a greasy impression, something I really work to avoid. Even the next day, I find my hair greasier and with a strange slightly stiffer feeling in my hair. Which I don't like. I've been using it for a while now and notice no significant difference in my hair at all. I assume you need to use it longer. But I'm most irritated that my hair feels so greasy after a while within 1 hour of application for me unfortunately. So I think it's a ridiculously expensive product to give me greasier hair and no difference in hair quality, but I assume you need to use it for more than 2 weeks. I'm not that impressed yet, but I get to test it a bit longer to see if it gets better going forward. But I don't like the feeling in my hair after it has been a while. Scalp Care
I’m on my third bottle of this serum for the scalp. Sometimes I think we forget to care for it as well. We are often very careful with the skin on our face, but I think the scalp and face are connected. I started using it during the coldest winter because I had an incredible itch on my scalp. I wash my hair more often than is good because I sweat a lot from the waist up. It’s so much that my hair gets wet. It’s due to age and medication. Every night before I go to bed, I massage it in, and since I started, my scalp feels so much better. I very rarely get itching nowadays. I’ve also been quite harsh on my hair with bleaching and coloring, so I think both my hair and scalp need care. Also, I love the scent of the serum, though I know many think it smells too strong, but not me. What brings the score down is that it’s insanely expensive and not very economical. Really satisfied!
I have been using the serum for exactly one month now, and I first bought a 30ml to test, and it lasted exactly one month. I am surprised at how good the results are. However, I have done scalp massage every day for 5-10 minutes when applying the serum to the scalp, but I see an incredible amount of small hairs that I have never seen or had before. Whether these are new hairs or my “old” hairs that no longer break, I can’t say. But the serum definitely does something! I am losing significantly less hair, and as I said, I notice a difference in the amount of hair since I suddenly have lots of small hairs everywhere. I would absolutely recommend it. Serum with results
This serum from kerastase, which you’ve heard so much about, I’ve now had the chance to test, and have been using it for about 10 weeks! (Collaboration but an honest and genuine review) My hairline is a bit further back on the sides where many others also experience thinner hair. Therefore, I have applied most there during these weeks to see if it has given any clear results. And I really think you can see the difference, and I feel that many new small hairs have grown during this time! 🤩 The scent is relatively strong, so you know it’s quite perfumed before you buy it :) However, it hasn’t affected me as I have a sensitive scalp, only some days I’ve felt a liiiittle tenderness on the sides but nothing more. Other serums/products for hair can easily feel greasy after application, but the result from this one is the opposite. The hair became a bit drier where I applied the serum but not so much that it feels uncomfortable. It evaporates very quickly and you can smell an alcohol scent, so you know that beforehand. However, I haven’t noticed anything negative from it 🥰 I haven’t needed to use the dropper, instead I’ve just taken the serum from the actual “glass tube,” as a lot of product settles on the outside of the tube.
