Over expectation, a manicure that gives salon feel but done at home ☺️

I had the pleasure of trying nail products like #lykoinflutester for the first time. This time it was a kit from #lovenlayer (lamp + nail file + 2 different designs of layers). I must admit I was a bit worried about how hard it would be to apply these, but it was much easier than I thought! The instructions were clear, and the whole process went quickly and smoothly. The color Burgundy Red is really pretty – a deep and elegant shade that feels both classic and luxurious. I am very satisfied with the result; the nails look professionally done and have a nice shine. Additionally, the durability has exceeded my expectations! A big plus that you can easily fix a nice manicure at home without mess and drying time. And removal was easier than I expected as well. Highly recommended for anyone who wants pretty nails without hassle!✨❤️

    Poor durability

In collaboration with Lyko, I have been so lucky to test Love’n layer - Solid Layers Burgundy Red. This is a type of self-adhesive nail polish that you need a LED lamp to set. I have previously tested this with another color and felt I got it right, but this time I had difficulties with almost all nails, getting them to stick at the tips of the nails even after following the instructions. It is a very nice deep burgundy red color that gives a nice and elegant result. But unfortunately, I don’t feel that these have held up, after just two days the surface is full of scratches and has started to become dull, several have started to lift at the cuticle even with good nail prep, and some have already started to chip at the tips. This is a fun and quite nice concept if you are on the go or if you are a beginner, as it causes minimal damage to the nails and little mess. But unfortunately, I don’t think these hold up. #LOVENLAYER #LYKOINFLUTESTER

Hey Nathalie 👋😊 These layers come in a size that is somewhat stretchable so that you can adjust them to different nail shapes and sizes 💅 The layers are extra long so that you can cut or pull off the part that is left over, and therefore they work very well for longer nails too! Feel free to check out this video to see approximately how long the layers are 👇 youtube.com/watch?v=Gsm2l9K3WqI All the best! ✨

    Fell off

Three nails have already fallen off in just one hour, and I followed the instructions exactly. This makes me very disappointed because I was looking forward to wearing them on Midsummer Eve.

Hey Nelle 🌸 Aww, it's such a bummer that it turned out this way. Reach out with a complaint and we'll take a look at this, it shouldn't be like that. A few small tips are to not take out the whole card right away and leave it out, and to not sit outside on the patio or in sunlight when applying. The light makes the polish cure a bit and makes it hard to apply and get it to stick.

Hi, I have seen similar products in another brand. After the lamp, the ones you attach become stiff and you can file them to the desired length, no matter how long your nails are underneath. Or do these not work the same way? If you have short nails beforehand, you can't extend them with these, right? I hope you understand what I mean?

I found a video here.. so I'm wondering if this works the same way? 😊 facebook.com/share/r/16VqrNfVFw/

Hey! Yes, I understand what you mean – and very good question! 😊 Love’n Layer is a type of semi-cured gel nail wraps that cure under a UV/LED lamp. They provide a solid and durable surface once cured, and can be filed into shape afterwards. This one is probably too thin and is not recommended for use to extend nails beyond your natural nail – so, you cannot build extra length if you have very short nails to begin with. Then there is a chance they might break easily💗 Wishing you a super day ahead!⭐

    Not for me!

I got to test some products from Love’n Layer! The first thing I tested was the LED lamp that belongs with the pink «stickers». My first impression was that the LED lamp was quite small, but there was enough space for my hand underneath. I had to leave my thumb out. The application of the stickers was totally fine, not too difficult. But none of the stickers fit my nails perfectly, so I had to stretch them a bit at the edges. After applying the stickers on a whole hand, it was under the LED lamp. I didn’t feel like the nails hardened properly, so I put them in the lamp again - but they were still quite soft… I clipped my nails, as I thought you might be able to use the nails as extensions - but that was impossible. The stickers were very thin. When I clipped them down to my own nail length, I put them back in the LED lamp. They never really got stiff and didn’t stick well. It was just to peel them off right away - which I think is pretty bad 😅 I don’t have much experience with gel nails, but I thought these were for beginners. The result looks totally OK, but the durability is too poor. When I first want to do something different with my nails than regular nail polish, I also prefer that I can get a bit more length than my natural nails. So these products were a total miss for me - but fun to test something new. I probably prefer «glue on» nails, as they last much longer and give a nicer result. I can definitely explore more with gel nails, but it won’t be these stickers for sure. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #LOVENLAYER

Hey Vesna! 🤗 Thanks for reviewing ❤ So sad that this color didn't quite become a five-pointer! Hope you found another that suits you better and has become a favorite 😍 It can be a bit tricky to layer before you get the hang of it, but they have become real favorites for me 🥰 If you want some tips on application, I must recommend this article from Lyko Magazine, super clear and easy to follow 🙌 Keeping my fingers crossed that it will become favorites for you too 🤍 Take care! ☀

    Finest red color!

I had the honor of testing these layers as #LYKOINFLUTESTER from #LOVENLAYER My first impression of the packaging for this one was that the color looked just like on the website, if not even better! The perfect wine red/burgundy color. When I opened the packaging to apply, I found the layers quite plastic-like, but after application, I experienced a very glossy and natural result. I have tested nail polish stickers before, but none that you can harden or that can be shaped to your own nail in that way. I used the brand's instructional video for the first layers I tested, and unfortunately, I didn’t think that application worked really well. Mainly because it was hard to file the edges unless you cut to the shape beforehand, so it ended up being quite a poor application at the nail tips. However, that was something I tried when I applied the other layers I received to test. I then experienced that they lifted and pieces on the top/edges flaked off. I like how quickly it goes to apply layers and how you get a more even surface compared to nail polish. Very nice glossy finish and received many compliments at work, but especially for this color! The downside of the product is that I found the edges quickly became worn if you used your nails to open things, etc. I also found that the application requires a bit of practice and that it’s probably what affects the durability of the result. I usually use press-on nails and prefer them as they give more length and I find them more durable, but now for the summer, I will test layers for toenails as I have a very uneven surface on my toenails and I really liked the look of this product!

Works well but not really my style

A little about me: I love nail polish in all colors and finishes but hate waiting for the drying time..😅 I find nail decorations difficult to achieve in general. These layers are probably more of a pink beige color than light pink, I would say! I think it gets a bit expensive for "regular" beige-pink nail polish - not as fun to use as decoration on a single nail as other layers. A bit tricky and time-consuming to apply on all fingers - on the other hand, it’s only 45 seconds drying time instead of 2+ hours like with regular nail polish. The application is mess-free, goes super smoothly and relatively quickly. Almost scent-free. I got a few bubbles under my layers and found it a bit difficult to place/pull them out so they cover the whole nail. But I still think it looks okay, and it’s definitely something that will get easier/better with practice! Looked okay right after application but hardened immediately after 45 seconds under the UV lamp. Looks more even and salon-finished than regular nail polish and easier to remove when they start to lift than when the polish slowly chips off and has to be removed with remover! Overall a smoother experience than regular polish! Already the same day as application, I noticed that the layer started to crinkle up on the sides and started to lift a bit? But it could be pressed down again and maybe it was due to beginner application. I find it hard/hurt to remove the cuticles so the layers can be applied correctly. Luckily mine were already gone due to many nail polish changes and a lot of scrubbing with remover😅 The application also takes a bit of time and it gets quite expensive – but it goes faster than regular nail polish (shorter drying time) and cheaper than going to the salon! I’m not satisfied with the selection of layers – I think they are a bit boring. I would have liked to see more different decorations, glitter, ombre, and such – things that are hard with regular liquid polish! But that’s probably a matter of style! ➕️ Smooth and mess-free application! ➕️ Goes relatively fast – a bit tricky application but myyy shorter drying time!! ➕️ Almost scent-free ➕️ Salon nails from home!✨️💅 ➖️ A bit boring styles, I think personally ➖️ Hard to get even/all over the nail ➖️ Starts to crinkle up and lift quickly – though maybe it’s just me as a beginner and I failed at the application ➖️ Expensive (though cheaper than going to the salon!) #LYKOINFLUTESTER #LOVENLAYER

    Love’n Layer layers 💅🏼

💅🏼 I tested layers from #lovenlayer as #lykoinflutester. I have never used or tried fake nails, I’m a bit old-fashioned and really like nail polish. So it was extra exciting to try something like this! Positive: 🤍 The instructions are good, and it wasn’t that hard to put on the layers after finding the right size for the nail. The application was easy. It felt a bit tricky to get off the length I didn’t want to keep, but practice makes perfect. 🤍 I tested both with and without using the UV lamp, and I was very positively surprised by how well it held even without the UV lamp. It lasted about 1.5 weeks before it didn’t look so nice anymore. 🤍 I’m not sure I’ll put my nail polishes away completely yet, but this is a simple and good alternative to that. #lykoinflutester #lovenlayer

    Simple!!!

I have now, as a #lykoinflutester, tested the "simple at-home manicure" from #LOVENLAYER and I love it!🤩 I am a person who sometimes has difficulty applying nail polish nicely, (😂) so I was a bit skeptical about whether I would succeed with this. But I followed the steps that Love’n Layer has on their website and I nailed it! Simple, smooth, and quick it was! It was so easy to measure out which size should be on which nail, it was also very easy to attach the Layer to the actual nail. There was only one of the fingers that I wasn't super pleased with. I cut it a bit too short. But I am still impressed with myself that I managed it.🤩 5/5 for how simple it was, simply!✨ And the result was incredible. A manicure that I did myself at home.😍 The durability, yes, I must still give it 5/5 as well. I had my layers on for a week! 😍 and only two of the nails were chipped then! But then it’s just to replace them! 😍 I was also skeptical about the color burgundy-red, but wow did I love it! ❤️ I got so many compliments during this week that I can hardly count! The rating is therefore very simple, 5/5 will try more colors!🥳

    Exciting new product

As a lykoinfluencer, I got the opportunity to test new products from love'n layer. One of the products I tested was these gel nail polishes or whatever you want to call them. I usually paint my nails and change color after 1 week, partly to get variation but also because they wear down and my nails during the winter months can feel drier and get damaged more easily. These polishes were new and exciting for me to test as I thought they would protect the nail a bit more but also give a nice result. I set out to apply them but immediately realized that it was not as smooth as I had imagined. In the end, they did get in place. Then came the next part, to file them more so they looked nice. That was a problem in itself, and until I figured out how to do it, they did not cooperate at all. Many problems but in the end a result that actually felt quite okay. It’s a good product but for me, they didn’t fit perfectly. I, who like to sit and fiddle with rings etc., realized that I unconsciously started to pick at the polish instead. They lasted a week. The next round lasted longer. However, the second round caused parts of the outer layer of my nail to come off with the polish during removal. I will probably test one more time but then I will likely go back to regular nail polish for my part. For those of you who can’t stand the mess of nail polish, I definitely recommend layers. Less mess and goes faster, especially when you figure out how to do it. #LYKOINFLUTESTER #LOVENLAYER

Field Green,149 kr,In stock

Match your nails with your outfit and mood. Field Green is the "it color" for summer. Single solid color light green Layers with a glossy surface.

With Layers you always get a perfect and long-lasting manicure. Quick, easy, and in the comfort of your own home.

To achieve the best finish, use our UV LED light and apply your Layers according to instruction.

Each pack contains 20 self-adhesive Layers.

Use:
Step 1.
Preparation

Always start by washing your hands carefully. It removes dirt and potential cosmetic residue. Remove any cuticle remnants from the nail bed and push back your cuticles. Let your nails dry properly to ensure that there isn’t any moisture left under the nail/cuticle.

Why is it important? Your Layers will stick better to a clean, dry, and smooth nail bed. The result will be more even, and your Layers will stay immaculate longer.

Step 2.
Choose

Remove the protective plastic from your sheet of Layers. Choose the right size Layer by comparing the different Layers to your nails - you want to pick a size that is as close to the size of the nail as possible. Are you between sizes? Choose the smaller of the two, and stretch it sideways across the nail bed - it gives a cleaner finish and a more durable result.

Step 3
Place

Apply the Layer to your nail, place it gently on the nail bed, start at one side, close to the cuticle, and press the Layer toward the other side. To achieve the best result, apply the Layer carefully on your nail so that it is placed on the nail bed and not on the skin, and make sure that it fits snug too, but not on, your cuticle - the Layers are soft and can be stretched for maximum coverage.

Step 4.
Adjust

Pull the layer over the tip of the nail, almost like pulling a fitted sheet over a mattress. Use a nail/fingertip or a nail file to press the Layer around the front edge of the nail. Remove the excess by pinching it off and/or using a nail file.

Step 5.
Make it last

Place your nails under the UV LED lamp, one hand at a time. Push the button and keep your nails under the UV light until the light goes out after 60 seconds. The light from the lamp hardens the material. That increases the durability of the manicure and gives the nails a glossy, lustrous finish. Make sure you place all nails under the lamp.

Step 6.
You nailed it

Your manicure is too good not to share with the rest of the world! Take a picture of your nails and post on social media. Don’t forget to tag @lovenlayer, @lyko and of course #younailedit

Step 7.
Removal

Time to switch color or pattern? This is how you remove your old Layers. Start at the bottom by the cuticle. Slowly and carefully peel the Layer off. If you find it difficult to remove the Layer you can use some nail oil. Drop the oil underneath the Layer by the cuticle and wait for 2 minutes. Peel the Layer off slowly. Wash your hands carefully with soap and water.

Before putting on a fresh set of Layers, remove any cuticle remnants from the nail bed and push back your cuticles. Make sure your nails are completely dry to avoid that there is any moisture left under the nail bed or cuticle. Make sure that the nail bed is softer than it usually is.
