This is the kind of highlighter I like to bring out when I want my makeup to look a bit more glowy and luxurious without it being too much. The first thing I like is the formula itself. It feels so soft when you work with it, and I think it blends really nicely into the rest of the base. It doesn’t feel like the highlighter is just sitting as a separate layer on top of the skin. ✨ I usually apply it on the cheekbones, a little on the bridge of the nose, and sometimes just above the lip when I want a bit of extra glow. And here I really think a little product goes a long way. 😂 It’s so easy to build up the intensity instead of starting with way too much. What I like the most is how the light hits the highlighter. I get a really nice, glowy effect when I move, but I still think it can be kept quite natural if I use a lighter hand. 🤍 I also think it works well together with the rest of the Buttermelt products. When blush, bronzer, and highlighter all have that same soft feel, I think the whole base looks more cohesive. And the shade Butta Werk is really a tone I can see myself using often. It doesn’t feel boring or flat but gives the face that little extra touch that makes the whole makeup feel more finished. 🥹✨ One small downside is really just that it’s easy to get a bit too enthusiastic with it. 😂 The first time I thought, “a little more can’t hurt” … well, it could. Here, less really is more! But once you find the right amount, the result is so beautiful. Soft, glowy, and luxurious without feeling overdone.
