A cleansing that feels like a little more than just cleansing 🤍
CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser is the kind of cleanser I really like when I want my skin to feel thoroughly clean but at the same time soft and pleasant afterwards. I find it so easy for cleansers to become too drying, so I really appreciate when a product manages to find a better balance. The texture feels smooth and easy to work into the skin. It feels fresh during use and doesn’t leave that super tight feeling afterwards, which is a big plus for me. 🤍 What makes it extra interesting is salicylic acid, which helps exfoliate the skin and make it smoother. I really like this type of cleanser when the skin feels a bit bumpy or uneven and you want to include a milder exfoliating element in your routine without adding yet another separate step. I also appreciate that it contains three essential ceramides and hyaluronic acid. It feels like a very well-thought-out combination – cleansing and exfoliating while trying to maintain a nice and hydrated feeling in the skin. ✨ I think it fits especially well in a simple routine where you want the cleanser to actually do a little more than just wash away dirt. It’s so nice to have a product that both cleanses and provides a little extra skincare at the same time. After use, the skin feels clean, soft, and fresh. Best for the body, skip for the face
Okay, so this cleanser is absolutely fantastic but not really for the face if you have dry and sensitive skin like me! 😅 I mainly use it in the shower and it has worked wonders for my KP. The skin on my legs is noticeably softer and smoother since I started using it, and that’s exactly the kind of result I hoped for! I use about 1 pump per leg. I think it’s very economical for the price. The consistency is very runny and watery, but when you start massaging it in, it foams up quickly. Regarding the face, I tried using it for a while in combination with CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream, but it ended up stinging badly. Salicylic acid in both cleanser and cream at the same time was probably too much for my sensitive skin. I usually use it on my face occasionally to really clean, and then it doesn’t sting, but as a daily facial cleanser, I think it’s a bit too harsh for dry/sensitive skin.
