    What a lifesaver!

I've had bad acne for several years, which has been very tough. I started with iso about 15 months ago. Got this and other products from the same brand as a recommendation from my dermatologist. Even before the medicine could help, this started to help. Since I finished the treatment, I've kept the pimples away with this cream and the cleanser that I've recommended before. I can highly recommend it! Picture 1 is about 2 years old and the other is a few weeks old. #lykomission #lykoreview

Yes, it has really helped me! 😍 I mean, you are wonderful! 😂💖 I don't think I have any picture that fully shows how much it was because I thought it was hard to take close-up pictures back then. But thank you, lovely you! ❤️ I don't think yours show either! You have such incredibly beautiful skin 😘

The new formula doesn't work for me

The cream has a light formula that doesn't feel oily and quickly absorbs into the skin with a matte finish. I'm a bit torn about this product as I've used it for several years in cycles and initially loved it. I noticed a big difference in redness and that pimples disappeared faster. However, during these 4 weeks that I've been able to try it again after a break of a few months, I must say that my perception has changed. I rarely use this product all over my face but focus the product on my problem areas and have experienced that the acne has gotten worse on the days I've used the product. I've thought that my skin might be too sensitive and that I shouldn't use it every day. Suddenly, my acne feels better on the days I don't use it. Maybe this product has a purging period, or it simply doesn't suit my skin. At the same time, it has helped somewhat in other areas of my face to reduce redness, such as on my forehead. Therefore, I find it hard to review the product as I've gotten such different results. Another downside I've noticed is that I can't get it to work under makeup. It crumbles no matter what other products I combine it with. It's also not moisturizing enough for me, even though I have combination skin, so I always have to have another cream on top. Unfortunately, this cream is no longer a hit for me, even though I liked it before. Maybe it's the new Duo+B formula that doesn't work for me compared to the old Duo+ Anti-imperfections Corrective Unclogging Care. I will probably continue to use the cream to see if my skin reacts better with longer use. #lykotestpilot #larocheposay #lykoreview

Hey Tess😊 Thank you for taking the time to share your experience so thoroughly – it’s really valuable🤍 I understand that one can feel disappointed when a product they previously liked changes formula and no longer feels the same. It sounds wise that you listened to your skin and adjusted the usage. Sometimes the needs of the skin can also change over time, and certain ingredients that previously worked may feel different later on – especially if you find that your skin has become more sensitive. However, the fact that you still saw effects on redness in certain areas and appreciate the consistency is still positive overall. That the cream didn’t suit your skin under makeup and didn’t provide enough hydration for you is also good to highlight – it helps both us and other customers get a nuanced picture. We hope that your skin stabilizes if you choose to continue using it and that you gain more clarity over time. So fun that you got the chance to test it, and I hope you have a lovely day🌞

    Bumps

Hey! Is this product good for bumps on the face? And if so, should you apply it only where you have them or on the whole face?😊

Hey Kikki😊 What a cute profile picture you have 🐾 Thank you for your question✨ Effaclar Duo+ can help with bumps if they are caused by clogged pores or overproduction of sebum, but it completely depends on what is causing the bumps. A good tip is to start applying the product only to the areas where you have bumps and see how your skin reacts before using it on your entire face. Hope the answer can be helpful and that you have a lovely day💫

    Perfect for my skin

I have tried a ton of different products, everything that has gone viral on TikTok, etc. But this is the one that works best, buying it now for the third time. I have oily, dry skin and get pimples easily.

    Can't go without!

I've been using this every night for over a year. I have acne-prone skin and think this cream works really well to quickly remove pimples, I put this on before I go to bed, and the pimples are flatter and smaller the next morning. It removes the pimples quickly, but is not as effective at preventing new ones. I recommend using the cleanser and serum from the same line if you want to prevent the pimples, it saved my skin when it was at its worst!😍

    Burns

I think it pulls into the skin way too fast and burns extremely, especially around the nose, makes it exciting how it works?

Hi Amalie! This is a lightweight water-based cream, so it will feel very light on the skin and can absorb quickly, especially if you have skin that needs more moisture. It shouldn't sting, so if you're a bit sensitive to products with acids in the nose area, you can avoid using this in that area. If you need extra moisture, you can easily apply a moisturizing serum underneath👋🏼 Have a nice day❤️

Should one use their cream afterwards?

Can you first apply your serum, then this and your cream? It says it's a cream but I've heard that you should still use a cream pp afterwards.

Hey Miranda😊 Thanks for your question✨ Yes, you can absolutely use your serum first, then Effaclar Duo+M, and add a cream on top if your skin feels dry or needs more hydration. It works as a light treatment gel-cream, but if you have drier skin, it can be nice to have an extra cream on top – especially in the evening or during winter. Experiment and see what feels best for your skin since everyone has different needs. Hope the answer can be helpful and that you have a super nice day🌞

    Amazing product

Economical, lightweight, and quick-drying. Used it first for facial cleansing with La Roche Posay Effaclar facial water, after which there have been clear positive changes in my face. I recommend buying!
