The most important product in the bathroom cabinet
I literally use this for everything: Scalp scrub once a week; Removes product buildup, hair becomes shinier and less oily. Apply to the entire scalp, let it sit after a light massage for 10-15 minutes, and double cleanse with shampoo. For armpits and groin 2 times a week after showering; Removes bacteria that cause sweat odor. As needed every couple of weeks as a gentle scrub for the face like a toner; Helps especially with oily skin and small breakouts. After shaving (not on the same day, otherwise it stings); Removes and prevents ingrown hairs. Treatment for keratosis pilaris on the forearms; Apply to the skin of the forearms 1-2 times a week after showering, wait 15 minutes, and apply cream or oil on top. Foot scrub; 2-3 times a week after showering, apply to the soles of the feet. Let it sit for 15 minutes and apply foot cream and put on socks.1 product in post The most important product in the bathroom cabinet36771 views- The comment was made 1 yearsNice to hear that the review was helpful! I always apply it to my skin through my hands, so I take about a tablespoon of toner in my hand and then just slather it on my forearms. It's good to let it dry and work for a moment before applying oil, and it shouldn't be washed off. As body oil, I use Weleda's rose oil, but any oil or cream works! For the groin area, I do the same, using a slightly smaller amount (teaspoon) on my hands and just applying it to the edge of my underwear. I don't use any other deodorants. This has especially been a convenient way to stay fresh during the summer. Let's really hope this product is never discontinued. 😆14 likes

Hello,
The product name and photo don't match. It's showing the wrong picture. Both are sold as two different product by Ordinary brand. See the pictures attached. Combine with CeraVe serum
I use CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum every night before moisturizer, and I'm wondering if I can safely add this to my daily evening routine? I tolerate the serum just fine, but my skin can be a bit sensitive, so I'm unsure if it will be two slightly too 'active' products to combine in the same routine.156 views- The user's roll: Skin therapist at Lyko. The comment was made 20 hoursHeihei Benedicte 👋 I wouldn't recommend using these two in the same evening routine, especially since you say your skin is a bit sensitive! 🕵️ Both products contain active ingredients that work to increase cell renewal. Using both products in the same routine can lead to: - increased irritation and redness -your skin may become more sensitive - increased risk of dryness or peeling If you want to use both of these products, you could possibly space out the usage in different routines/days. ⭐Option 1 – every other evening (best for sensitive skin) evening 1: retinol evening 2: glycolic acid evening 3: just moisture/barrier ⭐Option 2 – retinol more often, acid less often retinol: 3–5 evenings per week glycolic acid: 1–2 evenings per week Wishing you a nice day ahead ❤️

Super good!
I use this every single night on my arms, and it works super good! I struggle with bumps on my arms and this is already the best product I've used🤍 I've tried a lot of different things, but nothing beats this (+ it's cheap)! I've already noticed a HUGE difference after just one week! I also recommend buying a dry brush that you use, then apply the glycolic acid on dry skin, let it absorb and then put on moisturizer🤍 if you do this consistently for 2 weeks, you'll see and feel a big difference! #lykoreview168 views - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Incredible!!
Really gold in a bottle!! Amazing product ✨ that has sooooo many uses. Helped me reduce acne scars, basically got rid of ingrown hairs, I also use it partially as deodorant since it removes ALL sweat smell. Highly recommend!😍 The Ordinary #glycolicacid #toner #theordinary1 product in post Incredible!!266 views - The post was made 4 daysRating: 5 out of 5verified customer
Multi-toner
Ooooooomg!!! I love this, my 4th bottle or so. You can use it for so much! Face toner, underarms against sweat, on the scalp as a treatment before showering to exfoliate, it helps with red bumps when shaving and surely much more!! But remember to use it max about 3-4 times a week since it’s an acid❤️ And if you have it on your face, only use it in the evenings as you can burn yourself if you have it in the sun🫶🏼 #lykoreview1 product in post Multi-toner279 views - The user's roll: Lyko Creator. Effective toner for smoother skin
A good exfoliating toner that helps the skin become smoother and more glowy. Perfect to use a few times a week.1 product in post Effective toner for smoother skin260 views - The post was made 5 days
Coconut oil..
Can this product be combined with pure organic coconut oil? I want to lighten my dark armpits and get rid of bad odor. But, is it best to use this product alone after showering, or can I go over it with pure coconut oil for moisture since I have dry skin? What is recommended for dry skin?1 product in post Coconut oil..229 views- The user's roll: Farmaceut på Lyko. The comment was made 4 daysHi Nafisah😊 You can use The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution on your armpits to even out skin tone and exfoliate, and after it has dried, you can apply coconut oil or a gentle moisturizer if you have dry skin. Start gently 1-2 times a week and let your skin get used to it, and feel free to use sunscreen if the area is exposed to the sun. Hope the answer can be helpful, and that you have a lovely day💫

Gentle AHA
Bought The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner 100 ml in 2024 and still have about half the bottle left. I don't use it that often because I couldn't see much difference on my face. I've switched to using it on my back every now and then. It's gentle on the skin and seems to be usable a bit anywhere on the body. But maybe a bit too gentle for me, as I wanted to see more difference. I use it in the evening and the next day my face is very soft but not so exfoliated, as I can see.. I recommended it to a friend since she has dry skin and she felt it helped her. So I definitely recommend trying it.337 views - The post was made 1 weekRating: 5 out of 5verified customer
Used for EVERYTHING!
It is absolutely amazing! 🤩 I use it on my scalp a few times a week to exfoliate before I shampoo, and my hair stays fresh so much longer. I also use it to prevent ingrown hairs, and it works so well! It’s a must <31 product in post Used for EVERYTHING!310 views
The OrdinaryGlycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner 100 ml
Select size
100 ml240 mlGlycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner (previously Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution) is an exfoliator that significantly smoothes skin texture and promotes the appearance of a more even skin tone, as well as more luminous skin, with regular use. It also reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The water-based toner format is suited to daily use.
It contains a 7% concentration of Glycolic acid - a well-studied alpha-hydroxy acid - and a plant-derived Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative, which varies in colour seasonally, and which may cause an apparent colour variation in the formula from time to time.
This formula should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to the additional sun protection notes and other warnings in the provided directions.
This pH of this formula is approximately 3.6. Glycolic Acid has a pKa of 3.6 and pKa is the most important aspect to consider in formulating with acids. pKa describes the acidity of a molecule. When pKa is close to pH, there is an ideal balance between salt and acidity, maximizing effectiveness of the acid and reducing irritation.
Use:
Face/Neck Application: Apply once daily, ideally in the evening. Apply to the face and neck using a cotton pad or fingers.
Scalp Application: Apply to dry scalp, three times a week. Tilt your head back and use the nozzle to gently dispense product from the front to the back of the head in a sweeping motion. Massage well.
Do not rinse off. Do not use on sensitive, peeling, or compromised skin. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes.
Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency or duration.
If eye or skin irritation occurs, rinse thoroughly, cease use, and consult a physician. Use only as directed on unbroken skin. Patch testing prior to use is advised. Keep out of reach of children.
Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
