Description
Ingredients

The SOS Paste is a problem solver that helps with a variety of skin issues. It is effective against various types of skin imbalances and is used locally on the problem area. With its high concentration of sulfur, it inhibits inflammation and provides a noticeable improvement in acne, rosacea, perioral dermatitis, redness with rashes, bumps, and seborrheic eczema after a short treatment period. The cream treats, prevents, and calms without causing irritation.

Use:
Apply a thin layer locally to breakouts or affected areas. Primarily recommended for evening use, but in cases of severe outbreaks, it can also be used morning and evening. To reduce potential dryness, it's recommended to spot treat with moisturizer afterward.

For acne: Use for 3 consecutive evenings.
For rosacea: Use for 3 evenings in one week, with a day's break between each application.
For perioral dermatitis: Use for 10 consecutive days, morning and evening, then take a break for 3 days before spot treating in the evenings if outbreaks persist.

    Usage of the product

hi! I have brutal outbreaks of perioral dermatitis that have spread to large parts of my face, it covers my upper lip, chin, large parts of my cheeks, and the tip of my nose. Last year I had similar problems and was prescribed finacea. It helped, but the itching and burning sensation are unbearable… I ordered this product in pure desperation and wonder how I should set up my treatment. I have been using finacea morning and night for 3 days and will get elixir delivered tomorrow at lunch. How should I combine these products, and most importantly, does elixir sos paste sting?

Hey! Since you have been prescribed finacea, I would recommend talking to your doctor about how to combine them. If you want to try using only SOS Paste, you can use it for 10 days straight, morning and evening (note! after acclimatization and when you feel your skin can handle it), then take a break for 3 days to spot treat in the evening if there are any breakouts left 💖 Good luck and take care! ✨

    Not for acne

Tried A LOT to get rid of pimples/acne. So see this as a last resort (due to the price). All it does is smell like sulfur. Did nothing for my skin. So much money down the drain… I’ll probably go back to basiron instead.

    Love!!!

I had problems with perioral dermatitis at the end of August and contacted the health center right away (had PD before that ended with antibiotics), then got prescribed a cream that helped the first few days, but then it plateaued (continued for a month). So I started googling and found this cream and felt like I would give it a try, I felt desperate and was ready to try anything except antibiotics. After three days, my PD looked much better, so I used it morning and night for 10 days, then took a break for 3 days, and then another 10 days. And today my PD is completely gone! Sure, the cream doesn't smell like raspberries, and it's expensive, but it's so worth it, as it's so incredibly concentrated, you need so little. I recommend this cream to anyone with PD!

Hi, It says to get used to the product, but it also says that if you have PD, you should use it morning/evening for 10 days. How do I start using the product for PD?

    Expensive

Are there cheaper alternatives to this that work well for perioral dermatitis and super dry/flaky skin?

    Appealing?

Wondering how one thinks since this contains both beeswax and shea butter, which are appealing, but still recommended for acne-prone skin or PD?

I, along with incredibly many others, even earlier when it was called Sulfactil, experience nothing appealing at all with it, but we have many products to choose from, so if you want other tips, feel free to take our skin test under Beauty scan. Take care ❤️

    Which moisturizer is suitable for?

Hi, I also have perioral dermatitis like many here where nothing has worked, so I have ordered this now and really hope it will work. I use the Dermalogica Ultra Calming series. Can I use the Dermalogica Stabilizing Repair Cream as a cream over after applying the product to the affected area? What about serums? Can I continue using the Dermalogica UltraCalming Serum Concentrate before the SOS paste or should I avoid it? Thanks for the help 😊

Hey again, This really worked magic and now everything is gone. It said to use it for 10 days for perioral dermatitis, but now after 4 days of use morning and night, all the bumps are gone. Should I stop using it or should I continue? I've become very dry even though I've used moisturizer afterwards, so I thought it might be better to give my skin a little rest, but I'm afraid it will come back.

    C-vitamin

Hi! Is it okay to use serum with c-vit over this when using it as a spot treatment?

Hi Sunniva This spot treatment contains lots of active ingredients and should not be combined with, for example, vitamin C, as this can trigger skin irritations! SOS Paste should mainly be used alone or only with a tailored moisturizing serum like Niactil 4%. Here, I recommend using SOS Paste at night and vitamin C during the day in separate routines Have a lovely day ahead

Hey Mikaela I’ve been looking at a fantastic product that I think could be good for Elixir Cosmeceuticals SOS Paste lyko.com/sv/cerave/cerave-moisturizing-cream-177-ml It’s important to avoid creams with strong active ingredients, like acids or retinoids, as they can worsen perioral dermatitis. It might also be a good idea to consult a dermatologist if you’re unsure about which products are best for your skin. Good luck and all the best 🌱

Hey Emelie! 👋 Elixir Cosmeceuticals SOS Paste is a product that is usually used to treat pimples and blemishes. It contains active ingredients that can often make the skin more sensitive to the sun. Therefore, it is generally recommended to avoid direct sun exposure when using this type of product. 🌞🌂 To protect the skin, it’s best to apply the product in the evening if you plan to be in the sun. 🌞 Take care!
