- Customer service at Lyko4 daysHey Sella, thank you for taking the time to review! 🤗 Azelaic Acid is an active ingredient that works well for many, but just like you’ve experienced, the results are individual and can take some time – and unfortunately, it doesn’t always suit all skin types. The stinging could be due to several factors, even if you don’t usually have sensitive skin. It could be, for example, in combination with other products or if the skin is somewhat irritated at the time of application. Don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer service if you want to look at something else that might suit you better – we’re happy to help you find the right one! 🥰🙌

Azelaic Acid and niacinamide?
Hi! I am very red in the face and have heard that this product is supposed to be good. But can you use the Treatment Niacinamide Formula from Emma S in the same skincare routine? If you can't use them together, I would love to have tips on another cream/serum that is good for redness in the face, and that of course works with Niacinamide💞 Thanks in advance 😇Translated from swedish
838 views- Customer service at Lyko2 weeksHi Michiko! 💕 Yes, you can use Azelaic Acid and Emma S in the same skincare routine, but it's important to introduce them carefully to avoid irritation 🙌 In the morning, start with Emma S, which strengthens the skin barrier and helps reduce redness over time. Finish with a moisturizing cream and sunscreen (SPF is super important to reduce redness!) ☀️ lyko.com/sv/la-roche-posay/la-roche-posay-anthelios-uvmune-ultra-light-cream-spf50--50- In the evening after cleansing, you can apply Azelaic Acid, which evens out skin tone and calms redness, just make sure to finish with a good moisturizer 💧 If your skin is sensitive, it might be a good idea to start using Azelaic Acid every other evening to acclimate your skin! Take care 🥰1 likes

Skincare Routine
Hi! I have both diagnosed rosacea and perioral dermatitis. I have struggled for several years with different treatments and creams, but nothing has seemed to help so far. After a lot of googling and searching, I have now ordered the following: • Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum Green Tea + Panthenol • The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% • The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% • Purito Hydro Wave Deep Sea Cream • Bioderma Sensibio Foaming gel • Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner In what order should I use these products, which should I use in the morning/evening, and how often? Grateful for a response! Best regards, a desperate girl!Translated from swedish
1120 views- Farmaceut på Lyko4 weeksHey Jessica✨ I can understand that this feels frustrating as both of these skin conditions are sensitive🤍 For you who have perioral dermatitis, these tips are important to follow: 👉🏻Avoid perfumed skincare. 👉🏻Do not use any form of peeling/products with strong acids in them. 👉🏻Also avoid cortisone cream, heavy makeup, greasy creams, and products with oil. 👉🏻Do not touch or squeeze the bumps. This is a very sensitive condition of the skin that can easily be triggered by new skincare, so we always recommend trying your new skincare on a small area for a few days before using it on the whole face🙏🏼 Of course, we should look at the order😊 1. Cleansing - Bioderma Sensibio Foaming gel 2. Toner - Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner 3. Serum - Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum Green Tea + Panthenol (morning and evening) 4. The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (a few days a week) should go well with the above serum 5. Day cream - Purito Hydro Wave Deep Sea Cream 6. Night cream - The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% (be careful with Niacinamide if your skin doesn't like this) 7. Sunscreen during the day I hope my answer can be helpful and wish you good luck with your routine🎉2 likes

- Employees at Lyko1 monthHey Emmy! 👋🏻☺️ Yes, Azelaic Acid can be used together with glycolic acid, but caution is recommended as both are active ingredients that can cause irritation, especially if you have sensitive skin ✨ Evening routine 👇🏻☺️ 1️⃣ Cleansing 2️⃣ Glycolic Acid (toner or serum) – wait a few minutes for it to absorb 3️⃣ Hyaluronic Acid – hydrates and reduces the risk of irritation 4️⃣ Azelaic Acid Suspension – since it is in a creamy formula, it is used last 🚨 Important 👇🏻☺️ * Introduce slowly if you are sensitive * Use SPF during the day as acids make the skin more sun-sensitive * If the skin becomes irritated, you can use glycolic acid less often (e.g. every other night) * If you want a milder routine, you can use glycolic acid and azelaic acid on different days 😊 Good luck! 🩷✨1 likes

Do they work together?
I have a question, I have acne scars and sometimes a few breakouts of acne. I have also had issues with perioral dermatitis. I have now bought The Ordinary's niacinamide + zinc and glycolic acid. I have read a lot of good things about this as well, is this something I can use together? I should also add that I have uneven / combination skin.Translated from swedish
1508 views- Customer service at Lyko1 monthHey Sofia! That could definitely be something to add to work on pigmentation. I would recommend using it on the evenings when you don't have glycolic acid. And you always have niacinamide for the day ☺️ Don't forget sunscreen 🌞🌞 Take care!

- Customer service at Lyko2 monthsHey Ida 😊👋 Here’s how you can do a patch test: - Choose a discreet area to apply it, like the inside of your forearm, along the jawline, or behind the ear. - Apply a small amount of product directly to the skin or put it on a patch that is placed on the skin. Let the product/patch sit for 24-48 hours without washing it off. - Then check for redness, itching, rash, or irritation. If no reaction is visible, the product is safe for you to use.

Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%
Advice on how Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% could fit into my routine? Right now I’m using these: The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser (morning and evening) Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 (morning) Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA (evening) Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (evening) Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA (morning and evening). The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Masque, twice a week + Granactive Retinoid* 2% Emulsion (once a week). (+ sunscreen during the day of course!) On the days I use Salicylic Acid or the Retinoid, I skip the other serums. I was wondering if it could possibly replace the Alpha Arbutin? (Or any of the other products. I’d like to try to keep my skincare routine as simple and uncomplicated as possible). I know that Azelaic Acid shouldn’t be used together with e.g. the Salicylic Acid mask, but can these be used on different days? Grateful for any response :)Translated from swedish
2064 views- Skin therapist at Lyko2 monthsHey Frida! Now I don’t know anything about your skin, and you already have many active products like acid and retinoid plus 3 serums, so I have a bit of a hard time fitting it into your routine. Active products usually need to be introduced gradually, like Azelaic acid, and used more than once a week to see results unless we’re talking about peeling or masks. Right now, I think your routine looks complete, and I wouldn’t dare recommend adding another acid, even if it’s gentler 🙏 🤍

- Customer service at Lyko3 monthsHey Ida! You can use The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension instead of your serum, but you can also keep the serum in a different routine! My tip is to use the serum in the morning and the Azelaic Acid Suspension in the evening. Take care!

- Former employee3 monthsHi Eino, It's important to use Epiduo, that the routine mainly consists of mild basic products that soothe, strengthen, and protect the skin during treatment 🧖♀️ The skin's protective layer often weakens during treatment, so I would recommend avoiding other acid-containing, exfoliating products. Have a nice day!1 likes

The OrdinaryAzelaic Acid Suspension 10% 100 ml
Found in grains, Azelaic Acid is produced naturally by yeast that lives on normal skin. This multi-functional formula visibly brightens the skin tone while improving the evenness of skin texture. It also acts as an effective antioxidant. This formula offers a very high 10% concentration of high-purity Azelaic Acid in a lightweight cream-gel system.
Apply to face AM and/or PM to improve visible brightness and the appearance of skin texture. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth. Use sun protection during the day. If irritation occurs, cease use and consult a physician. Use only as directed on unbroken skin. Patch testing prior to use is advised. Keep out of reach of children.
