I have been using all the products for about a month now, and I am very satisfied so far. My skin is superficially dry, prone to redness, and still oily in the T-zone. This set has calmed my skin, and the caffeine serum clearly reduces the bags under my eyes after a poorly slept night. The Granactive retinoid emulsion spreads easily on the skin. Storing it in the fridge works well with this product, the cool emulsion feels luxurious on the face. The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG 30ml
This light serum contains an extremely high 5% concentration of caffeine, supplemented with pure Epigallocatechin Gallatyl Glucoside (EGCG) from green tea leaves. Independent studies have shown that topical application of both caffeine and EGCG can help reduce bags under the eyes and dark circles around the eye contour. Further studies have shown that caffeine can also make cellulite less prominent.
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 30ml
Hyaluronic acid (HA) can absorb up to 1000 times its weight in water. The size of the HA molecule is crucial for how far down in the skin it reaches. The formula contains a combination of HA of both low, medium and high molecular weight, as well as the next generation of HA polymers. Together, the HA ingredients are included in a concentration of 2% and the combination of them provides deep hydration. The moisturizing on the skin surface is further enhanced by Vitamin B5.
The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion 30ml
This formula combines two forms of next-generation retinoid-active substances:
a) A 2% concentration of Granactive Retinoid which is a complex of soluble Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (HPR). HPR is an advanced form of retinoid, which is in fact an ester of retinoic acid that has a better effect against signs of aging than retinol, retinyl palmitate and almost all other forms of retinoid;
b) A stable form of pure retinol in a protective capsule system that supports both the delivery and the effect of Granactive retinoid.
The forms of retinoid used in the product are designed to reduce the irritation that can usually occur in connection with the use of retinoids (including retinol) while giving better visible results against signs of aging.
Use:
Morning: The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 - Apply as a serum in the morning after any toner. Finish with a suitable face cream.
Evening: Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion - Apply this a few days a week initially so the skin can get used to the product. Then increase the usage. Apply after any toner to the evening and finish with a suitable face cream. NOTE! This product should not be used with other retinol or AHA acid based products.
Morning and evening: The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG - Apply around the eyes, if necessary use eye cream on top.
