Erborian CC Cream in "Clair" 🧴🌹

In a test pilot package from Lyko, I received a small sample of this CC cream in Clair from Erborian ♥️. Too little amount to determine long-term effect, but I still have to say that I’m impressed by the first impression! At first, it looks white-gray, but becomes skin-toned when I blend it out and fits perfectly with my neutral pale skin tone. Doesn’t cover everything I want (scars/acne), but it’s only supposed to have light coverage. Still, I think the overall skin tone evens out nicely and I like the feeling it gives! 🤍 A slightly thicker/slower consistency that feels smoothing on the skin surface. The skin feels smooth and I find that less makeup is needed on top and it sets more evenly/better. Also contains moisture + my favorite ingredient centella. Natural finish (though I don’t think it’s glowy). Doesn’t ball up with my skincare or makeup. 🧴 Actually a product I could consider buying and using as a primer or no-makeup-makeup days. Barely any scent, I don’t notice any strong or sharp smell, more of a “skin-close” scent that is a bit creamy and powdery. 🧴 A nice and economical CC cream – my 1.5 ml sample lasted three times! VIVIENNE 🖤 Big question can give you lots.🌹 But I'll shorten it. I don't want you to get tired of my post 😅 My favorites in Erborian Centella Cream, the green tube in the same series you are reviewing 💚 And my absolute favorite skin therapy eye. I definitely think you will like it, it does its job ❤️red luxurious, white lid🤍❤️ it comes in different sizes, from 15 ml and up. I always buy the smallest, I don't have much need for eye cream, only on cold days since autumn and the winter season 🤍🌪️🤍

    Dark, perfumed, and yellow!

I have very dry, light skin with a cool undertone and therefore have a hard time finding both good foundation and BB-/CC cream. Since Erborian has been praised for many years, I decided to try it in the lightest shade "Claire" (French for "light"). It was super fun😉 The cream is white in the tube, and the color appears after application. I tried it on my neck and décolletage first. The strong perfume that lasted all day was not a fun discovery, nor was the yellow and quite dark tone or the matte consistency. Thanks to these factors, the cream never made it to my face🤥 The fact is that I have to dilute it with 3/4 sunscreen to 1/4 Erborian to not become too orange, and that wasn't really what I had in mind🙄 ➕ Blends easily with any sunscreen or day cream. ➕ Does not irritate the skin. ➖ Strong perfume. ➖ Way too dark to be called "light". - It looks significantly darker in reality than in the photo. - ➖ Too yellow for me. ➖ Matte - not pretty on dry skin. Gives it two pale stars. ⭐⭐ #lykoreview

    More coverage?

This product in Porcelain is the first of its kind skin tint/tinted moisturizer that works with my skin tone. But I would have liked a bit more coverage than this provides. Are there any of Erborian's other products that are just as light but more covering?

Hello Lisa 👋 If CC Crème in Porcelain is the first skin tint/tinted moisturizer that truly matches your skin tone, then the big challenge is that Porcelain is a unique shade. Erborian does not (yet) have the same shade in all their base products. Super BB in Clair (lyko.com/sv/erborian/erborian-super-bb-clair-40-ml) provides significantly more coverage than CC Crème, from medium to almost full coverage. Clair is generally a bit darker and warmer than Porcelain. Several people with very fair skin find that CC Crème Porcelain fits perfectly, while Super BB Clair becomes a bit too dark or yellow/orange. If Erborian CC Crème Porcelain is the first that truly matches your skin tone, I would look at brands that have very light, neutral shades and a similar "skin first" finish, but with a bit more coverage. I’m sending some recommendations you can check out 👇 Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream #13 Bright Beige (lyko.com/sv/missha/missha-m-perfect-cover-b.b-cream-spf42---pa-----no.13-bright) – medium to high coverage and a very light shade. Purito Wonder Releaf Centella BB Cream 13 Neutral Ivory (lyko.com/sv/purito/purito-wonder-releaf-centella-bb-cream-13-neutral-ivory-30-ml) – medium coverage, moisturizing and with a natural finish reminiscent of Erborian. IT Cosmetics CC+ Nude Glow in Fair Porcelain (lyko.com/sv/it-cosmetics/it-cosmetics-ysbb-cc--nude-glow-foundation-cc--spf-40-fair-p) – more coverage than Erborian CC Crème and a light shade with a nice glow. Hope that some of this can become a new favorite, take care 💖

    Clair or Dore

Hi! I got a couple of testers with Clair that worked super well. Matched my skin tone perfectly, but I've noticed now that the sun has had a chance to shine a bit that it no longer matches. Even though it's not very covering, it's enough for it to clash with how pale my face becomes. I can get quite a bit of color in the summer, but I don't know if I dare to buy a Dore instead. I generally have a hard time finding products that work during the summer, as they often feel way too orange or saturated in color. I had hoped it might be in stock in Linköping so I could go there to test it, but unfortunately it seems to be out of stock. How would you describe the color? Hue/lightness/saturation etc. Can you mix Clair and Dore (or any other product) on your hands and then work it into the skin, or do they lose their effect then? Thanks in advance, sorry if this is a difficult question <3

Hello Sofie! 😊💕 Clair suits lighter skin tones and is more neutral to slightly golden, while Doré is a bit deeper and has a warmer, more golden tone. Thanks to the sheer coverage, Doré usually looks more sun-kissed than orange 🤍 You can definitely mix Clair and Doré on the back of your hand before applying. The product works as usual even when the shades are mixed. A tip is to use Clair as a base and mix in a little Doré until you find the perfect match for summer, or use Clair and warm up with a bit of bronzer. Start with a little product and build up, as the shade can come out more when the pigments are worked in. Unfortunately, we don’t have any samples of this product right now 💛 All the best!

    Perfect ❤️

I have previously used the same one but in the shade Clair, and unfortunately it was a bit too dark/warm for me. Now I found the Porcelain shade and this is perfect for me, especially when I’m not tanned. This is just such a good product, it covers just right, you can layer it if you want more coverage, evens out skin tone and stays well on the skin (as long as you remember good hydration beforehand). The texture melts into the skin and feels nourishing, and a big plus is that it also has sun protection! 😍 #lykoreview

    Disappointed with the product

I had high hopes for this but was unfortunately disappointed. It definitely gave a very nice glow but absolutely no coverage at all. The color was also a bit too dark to be the lightest. I will continue with Lumene CC cream instead, which I am very happy with! ☺️

    Layering

Hi! I am experimenting with new products and was wondering how I layer this with other skincare and makeup. Would I use this after my moisturizer? And before concealer? Or can I first use a stronger SPF and then this cc cream? And then continue with my makeup? Any tips are appreciated!! ✨

Hi Tannya😊 Erborian CC Cream is used as the final step in your base routine—meaning after skincare and SPF 😊 You can use concealer either before or after, but it usually looks best to apply the CC cream first and then spot-correct with concealer where needed 🙌 In short: skincare 192 SPF 192 CC cream 192 concealer for an even and fresh glow 💌 Have a wonderful day!

Is the new version darker/the same as the older version of Clair?

Hi, I have the old Erborian CC cream in Clair, which works very well for me. But I wonder if there is any difference in tone/color/lightness/darkness in the new version?

Hi Tina😊 As far as I can find, the Clair shade should be the same as before, but the formula is somewhat updated and more shades have been added. My tip is to try it in the travel size first to get a feel before you buy the full size: lyko.com/sv/erborian/erborian-cc-creme-clair-15ml ✨ Hope the answer can be helpful!
