    Sensitive Skin

Hey! I have very sensitive skin and my biggest problem is visible pores. I'm considering using the Blemish Control Cleanser along with the acid from the same collection (Blemish Control). Do you think it will work for me, or is there another cleanser and acid that is better for visible pores and sensitive skin?

Hey Sarah! This cleanser contains 2% salicylic acid, niacinamide, and ceramides that cleanse the skin, reduce excess oil, and minimize visible pores and breakouts, while protecting the skin's moisture barrier. It is suitable for daily use on acne-prone skin but can be a bit strong for sensitive skin if used too often. Start cautiously to avoid irritation. Instead of an acid, I would recommend this one. It is gentle, so you can use it every day. Tips tips! lyko.com/sv/dermalogica/dermalogica-daily-microfoliant-13g Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is a mild, rice-based enzyme exfoliant that activates with water and gently exfoliates the skin for a clearer and softer complexion. Good luck!

    Combining with other exfoliators?

Hi, I wonder if I can use this cleanser every morning while also using Paula's Choice exfoliator three evenings a week? I have oily and acne-prone skin, but I wonder if it will be too much?

    Usage and Combination

Hi! I switch between blemish control (day) and foaming cleanser (night), but I'm considering using blemish control both night and day instead. Can it be used that often? I have some problem areas that are stubborn regarding pigment and blemishes, so I want to exclusively use blemish control. Can this be combined with cerave blemish control gel and cerave's retinol?

Hi Sara Great that you’re asking! The Blemish Control Cleanser contains several active ingredients that, with excessive use, can dry out the skin and make it more susceptible to damage from environmental factors. Therefore, I would generally not recommend using it both morning and night Since I don’t know enough about your skin type, skin condition, age, and other determining factors, it’s a bit difficult for me to give advice regarding which products you should use for optimal results I recommend that you take our skin test so we can help you set up a skincare routine that suits your skin! The test is completely free, and you’ll get a response from one of our skin therapists within a few days with a tailored product recommendation You can find the test here and under "Beauty Scan" in the LYKO app Wishing you a wonderful day ahead!

    Help

Would you recommend this wash to reduce closed comedones? And can you use this cleanser and then apply retinol or azelaic acid?😊💖

Hey Freja Yes, you can use that for closed comedones But retinol can be a bit irritating when combined with a BHA, especially for sensitive skin. If you want to use both, it might be good to introduce them gradually and use the retinol only a few times a week, especially at the beginning. Alternatively, you can use the salicylic acid cleanser in the morning and retinol in the evening to reduce the risk of irritation. Azelaic acid is often a bit milder and works well with BHA. You can use the CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser and then apply the azelaic acid afterward, as azelaic acid also has anti-inflammatory and comedolytic properties. Don't forget the sunscreen!! All the best

    Hey!

Is it good to combine with “La Roche, Effaclar Duo+M” if you want to get rid of pimples/impurities? Or would you recommend something else? //Michelle 🌟

Hello there Michelle! 👋🤍 Since both of these products exfoliate the skin, sensitive skin may react a bit. A tip is to try combining the product on a small area first to avoid any potential reaction. 🤍 If your skin becomes sensitive to the combination, a recommendation could be to use one product in the evening and the other in the morning 🌞 Take care! ❤️

    Cleanser

During double cleansing. Is this oil-based or water-based? Is it used first or last in double cleansing?

Hi Ingrid This product is a water-based cleanser, so it can be used both alone or with an oil-based cleanser first! Wishing you a nice day ahead
