    Can be hard to beat

Super good sunscreen for the face! What I look for in a sunscreen is a higher SPF, a light formula that my oily eczema skin can tolerate, and that it doesn't make me whiter in the face. Beauty of Joseon's sunscreen meets all these requirements. It might even become a recurring favorite. The sunscreen is very light in consistency and absorbs quickly into the skin without feeling greasy. But it is also moisturizing enough that the only thing I use during the day is a watery serum and then apply BoJ over it. I don't feel that it makes my skin oilier either, as many sun products can do. I know that you should reapply sunscreen during the day, but despite that, I've never gotten burned, even though I've been in the sun for most of the day. It doesn't irritate the skin at all, and it doesn't cause more breakouts than usual. BoJ also works excellently as a base for makeup, which is great! + light and mild formula + high sun protection + suitable for many skin types + contains many yummy ingredients that are good for the skin - one might wish for a pump, maybe? For anyone looking for a good sunscreen for the face, BoJ is definitely worth trying. Now I'm also curious about their other variant of this sunscreen... #LYKOINFLUTESTER #BeautyofJoseon

    So good!

I have to start by saying; I love this serum! Retinol products can be a bit tricky for sensitive skin as they tend to be quite strong. Retinal is an advancement of retinol where it is supposed to be superior in terms of better results and fewer side effects. My sensitive eczema skin tolerates this product really well. Around the eyes, I only use it now and then, but on the whole face and neck, I use it every evening! The fact that the serum is more like a cream makes it feel extra moisturizing, and besides retinal, it contains several yummy ingredients like Niacinamide, Ginseng, and ceramides. When I use it, I first apply a watery serum with hyaluron, then the retinal serum, and finish with a slightly richer cream in the evening. (One should preferably use retinol products in the evening.) In terms of results, it’s hard to say if it has helped with fine lines and such. But it seems to keep blemishes and impurities at bay. I mostly believe that retinol slows down aging rather than actually treating the wrinkles that are already there. So I am completely satisfied with the result it has given and according to my expectations. + just the right thickness + good ingredients + fragrance-free! + not irritating on my sensitive skin + I feel that my skin has gotten a boost in texture + large tube for being for the eyes - does not come in different strengths, as many other retinol products do. A quality product for a good price, what more can you wish for?! #LYKOINFLUTESTER #BeautyofJoseon

    No favorite

This type of concealer has never been a favorite. I find them too thick, dry, and difficult to work with. Unfortunately, Make Up Store's variant is no exception. Around the eyes, it is way too dry for me to use alone. Fine lines are emphasized, and it settles quite quickly into creases. Enough that I always dab it out before the powder, but it definitely settles more easily into creases than, for example, Maybelline age rewind. For me to be able to use it under the eyes at all, I have to mix it with a bit of liquid concealer. The consistency becomes so much easier to work with, and it instead becomes like a more pigmented liquid concealer. On red areas and blemishes, it is great though. Completely covering and stays in place if you powder a bit. You have to work a bit to blend out the edges, but that is perfectly acceptable when it’s not on a particularly sensitive area. + completely covering + practical with different shades in the same product - difficult to work with - too dry - settles into creases and emphasizes fine lines #lykoinflutester #makeupstore

    Not great...

I had high hopes for this mascara, as I often hear good things about the brand. But unfortunately, it fell flat for me. I would describe my eyelashes as "OK". They are somewhere in between in length and volume. What I look for in a mascara is that it should give them that little extra that takes them from "OK" to "good". It doesn't need to look like false eyelashes for a mascara to be considered well approved. The effect this mascara gives on my lashes I would describe as marginal improvement. They get darker and thicker, but that's about it. The brush is quite okay and easy to work with, the formula is neither too wet nor too dry. Despite this, it couldn't live up to my expectations, what could be wrong, one might wonder? + easy to work with + doesn't smudge during the day + fairly easy to remove in the evening with remover + good blackness - marginal improvement overall In hindsight, I read the product description and saw that it is an "everyday-mascara". For me, that means a mascara that doesn't do much, and I can attest to that after having tested it. #lykoinflutester #makeupstore

    Well approved!

It is a nicely citrus-scented hair mask that meets all my requirements for what I want from a hair treatment. The hair feels soft and smooth without weighing it down, and it looks like the hair has a nicer fall. My pin-straight hair really appreciates products like this, which make the hair look fresh and shiny without making it greasy. Generally, I prefer hair masks over conditioners, as you can use the hair mask as a 2-in-1 product. If you use a slightly larger amount and let it sit for a while, it works as intended; an extra nourishing hair mask. But if you take a smaller amount and rinse it out fairly quickly, the effect is like a conditioner. + the hair gets a healthier and more cared-for appearance + can work both as a treatment and a conditioner + the citrus scent! 🍋 + feels very economical, it will last a long time - the packaging, it would have been better if it was in a tube so you wouldn't have to dig in it with your fingers. I would probably say that I recommend the hair mask over the conditioner as it is more versatile and you get more for your money. If you already have the hair mask, it is not necessary to also buy the conditioner, that is my personal opinion. #lykoinflutester #waterclouds The picture shows the consistency of the hair mask.

    Wonderful!

I love serums like this. A lightweight product with a high silicone content that makes the hair feel softer and look much shinier and healthier. I don't feel like it weighs down my straight hair either! So perfect 🥰 Now my hair isn't exactly damaged to begin with, as I don't dye it anymore or use heat tools especially often. But I still feel like I notice a clear positive difference after using the serum. After styling my hair as usual, which usually involves salt spray, I think my hair has a nicer fall than before. One concern that hangs over all shine-giving products applied to towel-dried/dry hair is that it can make the hair feel and look greasy faster, but I don't think this does that. + the hair gets a lovely shine and looks healthier + the citrus scent becomes almost a little addictive + easy to use + doesn't weigh the hair down - possibly the price tag if you're feeling a bit stingy 🫣 One of the few hair care products that has a somewhat higher price tag that I could see myself buying again. I'm so grateful I got the chance to try it! 🌼 #lykoinflutester #waterclouds The picture shows the consistency of the serum.

    Good solid products

I'm not a connoisseur when it comes to hair care, so I had no real expectations for this set. But I hoped to be pleasantly surprised, and was somewhat concerned about being convinced that a little more expensive hair care is worth it. Both good and bad, I can say that I was neither surprised nor convinced. I'm still waiting for that "wow" effect that is supposed to convert me to finer hair care. - That doesn't mean that they are bad products, not by a long shot! Connoisseurs would surely appreciate the products more than someone like me, who thinks that most "suffice" as long as they clean the hair and don't leave it overly dry or weighed down. My hair is something that a hairdresser has described as "glass hair". The meaning of that description is pin-straight hair strands that are slippery/shiny and can take some heat. The color is my natural and I don't use heat tools very often, so it's not directly damaged. My biggest criterion, which largely determines whether I like a product or not, is whether it weighs the hair down or makes it look a bit greasy. I don't feel that any of these products do that, which is why I give them a strong approval rating! As for the "bonding" effect, I can't say if it has strengthened the hair particularly much. That effect is likely to be more noticeable if you regularly dye/bleach your hair or style often with heat tools. Shampoo I like that it creates a really creamy lather when washing. It feels like the hair gets properly clean and fresh afterwards. Conditioner It does its job and leaves the hair soft and smooth. Leave-in treatment Products like these tend to be weighing down on my hair. But this one is an exception. It feels extra nourishing and a big plus for also functioning as a heat protectant. If I had to choose a favorite from the set, it would be this one! + sturdy and good products + macadamia oil! + pleasant citrus scent + I feel that my hair has a nicer fall - no wow effect - I wish the shampoo bottle was a bit larger In short; it’s a reliable set of products that do their job. But don’t expect miracles. #lykoinflutester #waterclouds The picture shows the consistency of all three products in the same order as the product image.

    Super pretty on the lips

It looks so dark in the product picture, but it’s so sheer that it only leaves a beautiful pink tone. I’ve understood that the idea with the color Black Honey is that it should look nice on all skin tones, and I definitely believe it does! I reacted a bit to the fact that it also says it’s for use on cheeks. I tried this, but it didn’t look good on me. Now I do have really oily skin that doesn’t benefit from anything shiny on the cheeks. It probably works best on someone with very dry skin. When I used it alone on my lips, I felt that it could bleed a bit outside the lip line. This was only for testing, and with my oily skin, this happens with most glossy lip products, which is of course annoying. That’s why I always use lip liner or use lip gloss/oil mostly as a topper on lipstick when it starts to feel a bit dry. So for that purpose, I always use lip gloss, so the lip oil is a really lovely product. I also have very sensitive eczema skin, and I don’t notice it reacting negatively to the product either. It has no scent, which is great for those who can react to that. I prefer it over terribly perfumed lip products that you have to smell all day long. + beautiful color, soft and pleasant on the lips, suits most skin tones - tends to bleed without lip liner, doesn’t look good on the cheeks for oily skin. In the picture, I’m using it in my preferred way; lip liner (MAC Cool Spice) on the lip line and Clinique Black Honey Lip Oil in the middle of my lips. #lykoinflutester #clinique

Now I might dare to use more heat tools

A couple of times in the past, I have burned my hair with heat tools. Because of that, I reserve the use of heat on my hair for special occasions, and always with heat protection. I like that the product is in spray form and not a cream. I find that the spray form doesn't weigh my hair down in the same way that I've experienced all creams do. It's also easier to distribute evenly over the hair! I curl my hair with a flat iron, and it feels like the flat iron glides more easily through the hair with the heat protection on. I then get bouncy and shiny curls, which is exactly what I want 😊 I think the scent of the product is not to my taste, it smells a bit unisex, but that's not a bigger problem even though I would have preferred it to smell a bit sweeter. I also like that it has UV protection. This means I use it even without heat tools, especially on sunny days! + does its job, UV protection - the scent is not really to my taste #lykoinflutester #noberu

    Lovely leave-in conditioner

I have used a lot of leave-in conditioner in my days. A lot of it was due to the fact that I bleached and dyed my hair a lot, now my natural hair color has grown out and I have no plans to change color. My hair has been described by a hairdresser as "glass hair" since it is pin straight and slippery. This product is almost too good for not so damaged hair. I would have definitely loved this leave-in conditioner if my hair had been in worse condition. For it to work in my now healthy hair, I skipped conditioner in the shower and only used this afterwards, then it gave me a good result. So that's a tip if you find the product to be weighing down in any way. But I do think the product seems to hold exactly what it promises, especially if you have dry and damaged hair! If I ever decide to bleach my hair, I will definitely buy a new one 😁 + moisturizing, perfect for damaged hair, lovely scent - weighs down hair that is too healthy #lykoinflutester #noberu
