I have thin, self-curly, Scandinavian hair and when I straighten my hair it always ends up a bit too flat, so I often use volumizing spray to lift it a bit. I've tried many different ones, and my favorite so far has been Balmains volume and texture spray. However, it is very expensive. I found this and the price and previous reviews made me try it. I have dyed my hair for many years, both at home and at the salon, and have tried quite a few brands over the years. But for me, I always come back to Schwarzkopf. I have previously used the blue-black in the same series as this one, but wanted something that was coal-black without other colors in the undertone. This one is truly perfect! And besides the perfect completely black shade, it is more durable than other blacks I have tried, and the formula is a bit looser which makes it easier to distribute the color in the hair when dyeing it myself. I am very picky with mascaras, so I am always on the hunt for "the one I will always have at home." Is this it? It seems like it, right? ๐ I think Maybelline overall has incredibly affordable and good mascaras, and previously my favorite was the Surreal falsies mascara (the purple one), but it dries out quickly in the packaging and then doesn't get as Pow-ig. This one is basically just as good as that, but not as dry which makes it a bit sharper. It's not too wet, the brush is just the right size and coats the lashes well even in the inner corner. I have, as a #lykoinflutester, this time tested hair products from #izelbeauty. My hair is naturally curly, thin, and colored. It is also dry in the lengths and gets oily easily at the roots. Since I rarely use heat tools (maybe straightened my hair once in half a year and use a hairdryer even less), I have only tested this product 2 times. Positive: ๐ Nice design on the bottle and very good spray function that gives a fine, light mist. ๐ Easy to distribute in the hair and brush through. ๐ Barely feels in the hair. Only gives a hint of texture which makes styling a bit easier. Negative: ๐ The scent. Smells totally okay in the bottle but when itโs in the hair, it becomes incredibly strong, heavy, and frankly annoying to have around. And it stays in until you shower next time, so be prepared for that! I could therefore never use this during workdays as I work at a special needs school with scent-sensitive students. My curls also become frizzy and static easily. I have now tested this shine serum, but could not use it more than three times. Why not is explained below. And it stays in until you shower next time, so be prepared for that! I therefore couldnโt use it during workdays as it would have been way too uncomfortable for students and colleagues who are sensitive to scents. ๐ My hair didnโt become shinier or less frizzy. I really saw no difference at all from when I didnโt use the product, except that my hair really stank of the scent. I have now used the conditioner together with shampoo, heat protectant, and shine serum from the same line for about a month, and here are my thoughts. Positive: ๐ Nice design on the bottles and easy to see which is shampoo and which is conditioner. ๐ Easy to distribute in the hair and simple to rinse out. ๐ Makes my hair soft without weighing it down too much and reduces some of my frizz. Negative: ๐ The scent. Smells totally okay in the bottle, but when itโs in the hair, it becomes incredibly strong, heavy, and frankly annoying to have around. And it lingers until you shower next time, so be prepared for that! ๐ I found that my lengths became dry very quickly, so I had to add moisture every day. ๐ The shampoo and conditioner are supposed to make the hair shinier and stronger according to the description, but I notice no difference at all regarding this.
